I stayed in Yangla village on Umboi Island in 1991, conducting ethnomusicology research. I was lucky to learn some of the Mbula music and make many recordings for the government in Port Moresby. The houses in this video seem different now, but the dancing and sound of the voices are the same. Reminds me of the Sing Sing we saw in Lab Lab. What a great joy it is to be transported back to that beautiful place! Thank you!
