Things are really ramping up in the low to no code space. Excited to see the big 3 battle it out: Framer, Webflow and now Wix Studio. Are you utilizing these tools?
Just started watching, saw this comment and now I have a question, I blame you Gary. Currently I'm coding every site. I also utilise something called Storyblok and I ended up creating a pseudo-lowcode framework for myself where it's all my code, but i have a relatively OK UI to control my code within Storyblok (sliders, selections, numerical inputs for values). But the key point is that I code everything right now. As someone who uses (or knows how to) no/low-code tools and as someone who knows how to code, what do you think of this entire space in 2023; Should people who code look into these tools? How much customisation do we lose by turning to these tools? All the best sir. 😁👍
2 years ago, I helped a friend of mine to edit/modify her Wix website and it was utterly painful. The editor was slow and buggy. I compiled all my UX feedback and PM them to Wix twitter account. No response. 3 months later, after tweets exchange about another topic, they finally paid attention to my PM and asked my to contact someone in charge of feedback. Wich I didn't, because meanwhile I had decided I already had spent to much time on Wix.
I’ve put in feature requests for Wix Studio. Love the grid layout controls but little things are absent like backdrop filters, individual border width controls on each side, gradient backgrounds on containers,blend modes etc. Obviously these can be solved with CSS but still would be convenient to add them to the design panel
Wow, you never fail to bring the best, and easy to understand tuts to the table. I enjoy coding, but with the amount of time it takes to design the site, and then code it, this is pretty next level when it comes to really being able to make it your own while saving a lot of time.
Thanks for the clear vid. Is it possible to make a repeater section that has a filter menu? For example if I want to show a list of creatives (designers, art directors, writers, etc) and I wanted to give the user the choice to only view the designers, could they click a menu item "designers" and it will only show designers? Basically I want to make a dynamic list that can be filtered. If not, is there a way to create this?
At 34:57 - is the countdown being so tight in the box on a responsive layout normal? It seems like it’s just changing based on certain screen sizes, not a % It does the same thing to buttons on mobile, at certain % the hero button looks huge. Is that something to change on your own?
@@DesignCourse when i was trying to use editor x, the wix advanced web builder that they had released before this one you are reviewing it was very heavy, even on a core i7 laptop with 16gb ram was struggling to run it on a browser. initially thought it had something to do with the browser (chrome), but even after switching to opera and brave, I saw no improvement at all. that made me lose interest in wix

Great video. I'm really impressed with Wix Studio and have decided to make it my build tool of choice. It would be great to see some more videos on it
