What do you do to not have any air bubbles when you mix the epoxy. And is there any surrtin kind of epoxy you use. It would be a honor if you could reply back.
@@sarahstavoli5726 Thank you! I actually just clean my molds with tape if things fall into it. They're in plastic wrap after I'm done with it so it stays clean until I'm ready to create with them again. I mix very slowly, but there are still some bubbles. I let the resin sit for 5-10 minutes for the bubbles to rise to the surface and use a heat gun if necessary. I use different types of resin depending on the depth of my projects. I mainly use the total boat high performance resin, but with whatever resin, read the description to see how thick you can pour each layer for that specific resin. Hope that helps! The palette organizer is great! I don't usually leave suggestions for artists, because I'm the peanut gallery, but I wonder about placing the petals and glitter in a way that when they are stacked they make a design. I'm not certain if I'm explaining it adequately, but because the butterflies were slightly transparent, I kinda wanted to see each piece with different elements and then the complete design viewed from the front/back. I enjoy all your projects!

You should try putting down the gold leaf first, directly on the mold. When it's popped out, it is totally sealed in there and looks like it was gilded!! I have made ashtrays and trinket trays with silver leaf on the bottom that make it look almost like a mirror- gorgeous!! I use a watercolor brush to apply the leaf; fingers are too sticky and can rip the leaf (which is also a really neat look if you're going for that!), but an eyeshadow brush would work as well! :) Gorgeous work as always, Heather!!

Wait is that my problem?? My resin nonlomger how long it cures always seems flexible and never fully hard and rigid. It's always got a slight flex :( even when i buy whats labeled "hard type " it also says "casting resin" !! So do you have a recommendation on what type of resin to buy if i dont want it flexible??
