Definitely dig the new style of video. I appreciate the more in depth and time you took to make this. Makes me more comfortable on doing my own suspension install.
Stellar job man! You did a great job keeping it your style of educating but also incorporating the process enough to make it work in tandem. Installs can be a pain so it’s great to still get an organic yet nicely pieced install video together .🤙🏾👏🏾🔥
Looks like you need some new control arm bushings too. Your control arm moved way to easily when your arm pressed against it at 13:09 when you removed the sway bar end-link. Love the video!!
Yeah man, when I was doing my research before making this I was actually shocked by how little info is out there on these. Specifically the install and setup. Glad this will help!
Great video. Nice to see you working solo in your garage. Luv the format with the more emphasis on DIY. You might have already answered this but what is your reasoning for not getting a set of hydraulic jacks like Quick Jacks? I have a single car bay also and IMO they are great for most everything I want to do mechanically under the car. Number one reason for me is feel much safer then Jack stands!
@@ThicWhips BTW I think Obsessed Garage has Ohlins on his M3 I believe he has some videos on the install and the ride plus some other goodies you might want to add to that gem.
Loving the new look...Would want to get some coilovers for my e90 m3...but just saw how much these were, theyre as much as the e46 wagon I just bought...lol
@@ThicWhips i just rewatched it at 27:30. you set it in reverse, which is probably why you find it soft. when adjusting it on the car, since the knob is upside down, make sure you adjust it correctly. clockwise for full hard then back back off 8 clicks.
I will in the future. But rn I don’t have the room and working around those in a small garage will just create more problems. I also feel like, jacking up the car in general isn’t the problem, it’s that you really don’t get the height you need, quickjax won’t really solve that either.
@@ThicWhips true, it will never have the height of a proper lift. Keep up the E92 M3 content! Nice to get some inspiration from for my own '11 E92 M3 👌🏻 Greetings from the Netherlands 😎
Very tough pick. Very different cars. But if it were only a weekend car, id go s65. If it were daily and all arounder, I’d go m4. If connection to the vehicle and sound matters, I’d go s65. If speed and modern tech matters, I’d go m4. Lots to consider tbh.
I need to order some, I havent researched that yet. Is it direct plug and play? Oem or aftermarket? I’ve sort of just been focused on getting the car driving good and then I was gonna worry about more of the cosmetic stuff.
Hey man comparing this car to the 340i which one would you take i like both cars but just cannot choose which one because they are both in the same price range
These are entirely different cars. Your lifestyle, what you are looking to achieve from the car and what you can afford will dictate that answer. It will be nearly impossible for anyone to answer that for you without understanding more about yourself as a driver and consumer.
@@ThicWhips I definitely see what you mean here but like you personally as someone who has owned both cars which one would you take like i personally like to push my cars due to us having some great spots around where I live and by push I mean sliding the car around here and there maybe a couple races and overall just enjoying the car at maximum with everything it has to offer and price ranges are now issue same with the maintenance
I say m4, because they are damn near the price of a 340 and a 340 is good for one thing: straight line speed. It won’t handle anything like an m4 or m3, it wasn’t intended for that. The b58 is great but the car is not what kids online hype it up to be these days. Drive all three and go from there
@@ThicWhips that seems pretty logical and yea I never really checked out an m4 before but thank you very much man looking forward to more of your content! Maybe one day we will end up shooting a vid together
They ride good with both sizes. It’s a matter of preference. I prefer more tire, which allows for more comfort. Less tire will give you a harsher ride. I also prefer the look. That’s it
@@ThicWhips forgive me if you mentioned in previous videos are you running 18s or 19s? Staggered or square? I have an e90 running 19” EC-7s, 265/30 up front 295/30 out back and I’m rubbing in the rear a little on Stock EDC with h&r race springs 😬 - I should probably upgrade suspension?

Big fan of seeing how OEM+ mods get the most of cars for practical road and some track use, so this video series has been interesting to watch.

Not sure I trust myself doing this but you make it look very simple
Nice! 8:05 correct term is divorced setup. When the shock is separate from the spring. Otherwise it is a true coilover.
That’s what I was looking for! Haha thanks man
Nice!, I just did the Ohlins on my 135i, I’ve had some decent coilovers before these are so good.
Looks like you need some new control arm bushings too. Your control arm moved way to easily when your arm pressed against it at 13:09 when you removed the sway bar end-link. Love the video!!
Yup, they are smoked. I’ll go turner
Love the content🔥🔥I have the exact same set up as yours! Ohlins + F8X brakes and it works amazing, can't wait to see what's next for this car!
Awesome I can’t wait to get the brakes on!
Great job! Now I want a set… and an e92 😅
You need one!!
27:45 looks like you start clicks from the wrong end, 0 is fully closed all the way clockwise; then you open counterclockwise
Pretty confident I passed you on south yesterday. Not too many fish bowl m3’s around here 😂 love the content
Sweet!!
dude finally someone that made content on Ohlins, got mi M2 with them and couldn't find any videos about the details on adjustments. thanks @thicwhips

I might get a set of quickjax. I’m just waiting until I have a bit more room
I like that Quickjax has wall hangers. Hanging them on the wall is a great space saver.
Hey man great video, what were your final adjustment for height in mm on front and back?
This video style is great. Nice balance.
Excellent Video great detail on the install of the coilovers. The car is progressing nicely. Cudos !! Keep em coming..
Thanks, will do!

Haha yeah they aren’t cheap but they are definitely worth it!
Looks good! Can't wait for the mountain runs.
You and me both!
You coming to Orlando next weekend?
i think you set your rebound in reverse. if my memory serves me correct, clockwise is full hard. then you back it off counter clockwise.
I’ll have to double check, I could’ve sworn it was back out then back in but I’ll confirm and update 👍

Thanks for the videos - is this Azurite Black ?
Jerez black!

if you had to choose between an e92 m3 or f82 m4 which would you pick? they cost the same here. Im leaning towards the f82 but the v8 sounds so good

@@ThicWhips can i get your rear rotors once you’re done with them 😂😂
Are those rotors mounted backwards?
Is it possible to install these on 23’ Audi q3?

im having them revalved for switft springs and they are going on my 135
What side skirts r those
