We do that with elderly cats! We adopt them & give them no rules! Want to sleep in our bed? Sure! All the treats? Sure! Walk on the table? You bet! Its heartwarming to see them happy as they go!
My dream is to have a cat barn. Not farm cats, stray cats in an enclosed cat barn. With lots of windows and cat walks and kitties of all ages cause they all need love. Id also want to have them available for adoption but that wouldn't be the goal of the barn. Just to have them be free but safe. And then I look at my 3 cats now.. And I never want another one 😂😂😂 two of the 3 are mortal enemies. One just gave the other 2 long cat scratches that both required 4-6 stiches each... So idk how well a cat barn sanctuary would work. It would take time to find the right cats to fit in with all the other cats
@@kiarakeeper2154 Let me tell you, there is a woman in my life, her family owns on of the biggest wineries in the area, and she is living that dream. She has just cats in this beautiful renovated barn. They have an inclosed outside little area to go roll in the grass and look at birds. A million scratchy posts, people who come just to pet them. The idea is for them to be adopted and find forever homes, but most of these cats have been there for so long that it wouldn't be fair to adopt them out, so it's now just a place for cats to live their best life. ANYWAY my point is: LIVE YOUR DREAM IT IS TOTALLY POSSIBLE!

I feel it's not prude to not like watching or talking about sex. It's just preference. I don't prefer sex jokes, scenes, or talking about it. I'm fine talking about sex on a educational level. I'm not squimish about that. I think it's good to understand the body and how both biological sexes' bodies work. But I don't need to watch others, it not that it's uncomfortable per se to me, it's just not interesting to me. I don't care what or how other people do their intimacies. Basically, it's boring to me. Also, if you're not my S.O., you don't have a reason to know my preferences in that regard, or what I do with him. And I don't really care about what you do with yours. Unless you're trying to explain a medical issue you're concerned about. Example: I don't care what was put where and how you felt about it, but if you're like: is it normal to bleed a little bit after intercourse. Then sure, go ahead. Well discuss on a medical or biological level. And finally, sex jokes are just dumb. They're not funny to me, and are usually at the expensive of the female participant. Not all, or always, but a fair number of them are. It's not even: "That's gross." It's more like "are you 12? I don't get it how that's supposed to be funny." Because as an adult, I feel sex jokes are just told by teenagers who have not experienced sex before and usually only funny to them. To me, this doesn't seem prude.

I've been wanting to adopt senior dogs ever since I was a kid so this year I thought "What the heck?" and I finally did it. I looked at rescues/shelters and selected the ones that were the eldest and had a rough background. Chose a 12 year old chihuahua with a missing jaw, a horrible heart murmur, and fractured ribs. Then went to a rescue and adopted a 12 year old shepherd mix who was in a crate for many years. I'm a sucker for sad stories, my background is I'm an RN. Adopting senior dogs has been one of the most rewarding moments of my life thus far. They are so forgiving and for them the past is the past. From here on out they will be loved and cared for.

I'm pescatarian, but my partner isn't. If I make a curry, I simply do the "meats" separately, and then just mix the sauce in the bowl when serving. It takes planning but you can work around it!

Statistically many millennials do not enjoy reading, so she is not alone. With the plethora of visual stimulation we have in this generation, people are losing the ability to read and visualize the story they have read. There are things we have gained with technology, however, there are thing of intellectual pursuit we have lost in the transaction.
@@HJKelley47 Actually I think the studies say it's the other way around. Younger generations read way more than the older generations. We just use different mediums for it now, like e-books, although traditional books are still very popular. As much as it's easy to blame the internet for the perceived (but likely incorrect) assumption that Millennials (and probably Zoomers too) read less, the internet has actually only made it easier to find books and other reading material. It's a lot easier to feel motivated to read a book when it's literally only a few taps on the screen or clicks with the mouse away, than it was when you had to walk down to a bookstore or the library. Pyjamas and skirt - a fashion statement :) I work from home too, but I make a point of dressing for the day, as I went into a funk when I started working from home. And when I take a break and work in the garden, I can be seen sporting plus fours with wellies on. Land Girl here I come LOL Aww if you ever find yourself in Europe (there is Disney Paris *wiggles eyebrows*) and take a little detour to Germany, visit us. Hubby and I have 6 dogs, all rescues and all either sick/disabled/old. We started doing this about 14 years ago when we got an eight year old little dog lady, she was neglected and abused and unfortunately he had cancer, but if I had to do it all over again, I would say yes. :) We are all ruled by one feline overlord, Max.

I took in a blind, 13-year-old (at the time) chihuahua on a whim in 2017, and it’s the best thing I’ve ever done. She’s currently 15 and I love this baby more than anything. Its so rewarding knowing you’re giving old fur babies a second chance at a good, happy life. I highly, highly recommend doing it when you’re ready for it!!

Being vegetarian is a lot easier then people think! I usually eat what my family eats I just switch out the main meat dish for a vegetarian option. So if you are really curious about it I’d say go for it! I’m really not disciplined when it comes to food and controlling myself but not eating meat hasn’t been difficult so if I can do it than anyone can 😊
I will say this about the second dog, because I was on the fence with my rescue. I wanted to still give her _all_ my love and attention, but on the flip side, dogs especially usually can do really well having another four legged friend with whom to nap and run around. Your love isn't 'lost' per se because you're providing them with a companion who can fill in when you are editing, going out with NIck, etc. I adopted a senior dog (eight years old) for my three year old rescue, and she is so much better behaved, doesn't bark at every passerby, and just loves snoozing on the couch with her buddy. I didn't think I'd be able to love my dog as much, and I was afraid of neglecting her in some way, but somehow everything fell into place perfectly. I loved this video, and thank you so much for opening up to us!

When I was in middle school I read the book The Outsiders in class and never payed attention. Then later I was sitting in class and they said there, read a book. So I ended up getting SO into it. It’s the main reason I got into vintage. I suggest the audio book.

Thank you for introducing yourself! Your vintage dress, the old time radio music and your house background made me really interested in watching your videos. It was fun seeing how you responded to people's assumptions about you. Audio books are a wonderful way to read I read a lot that I would not ever sat down and read like "Moby Dick" when I worked as a janitor. Probably should have read "War and Peace" then too. hehehe You will really enjoy them and another good place for reading them is long road trips and traffic backups. Very relaxing in clogged city traffic! Like you I rock the "pessimest/pleasently suprised mode and it believe it does wonders for ones emotional health. Really admire your dicipline to wait a while for children, and your open attitudes about other people's lifestyles and beliefs. You are using all the wonderful atributes of the human mind as they are designed to be used. Being a "bit of a prude" as you described it is a wise thing. Many things in our lives should and need not be discussed but with a few of our "personal elect". If more people did this a lot of trouble could be avoided. My advice to you relax in your PJ's whenever you want and revel in people's assumptions of you. By not forcing your cat to do anything you will have her eating out of your hand. Sure works with my cat Patches ignore her just a little bit and she puts her cat pride on the shelf and comes begging for attention! Oh and fireplaces and candles are out of this world.

Just want to mention on a point you made, about being different on screen than in person; it's natural and normal - it's call a Social Face, the person we are when we are with people. We are using our interaction tools. It's not fake, it's just another layer of us. No one should be accusing others of being fake on YT; bugs the heck outta me, them saying that. And people should try this: Film yourself and see how much energy you need to expound to look "normal". If you don't amp it up a bit, no one will watch cuz you come across zombie-ish. 9:20 - you are brilliant. I am close enough to be planning my retirement and I thought about fostering kittens - which would be hard (I have 13 cats. You can see I have issues with letting go). But taking in elderly cats would be something to think about. Although it's hard to let go, giving them a good quality of life for their final years would be worth the pain of loss. Several years ago my family moved to Kentucky and the house we bought came with cats. One was a feral we named Frank who lived under the porch (one-eyed, wonky teeth, raggedy coat - who couldn't love him?) I coaxed him into becoming my best cat friend by spending a summer lying on the porch and using a long forsythia branch to get him to play. Sadly he had to be put down the following year (feline leukemia) but for the time we had together he got to be loved and cuddled and played with and well fed, and understood it was okay to let someone tickle his belly. (I am now verklempt).
My house used to get a lot of paranormal activity happening when my dogs died :) it was just nice knowing they were still there even if it's on a different plane :)

If the jokes you make and the things you do in editing are for the purpose of entertaining yourself, then that is authentic and that is being yourself. Everybody has different versions of themselves, like most people don't act exactly the same at work as they would on a night out with their friends. That doesn't mean that they're not being themselves or they're "trying too hard" in either of those situations. I personally don't think you need to do anything differently. I found your channel very recently and I've really been enjoying it! It's clear to me that you are enjoying yourself when you make jokes or silly voices or anything like that, and that makes it even better.
I think k you're super sweet and honest. That's what first drew me in.....and vintage on a budget really helped. BTW: how was the. Beauty Bakery? I've been wanting to try them out.

Hi my dear! First off, I only just discovered you over the late summer and you have quickly become one of my favorite youtubers! I have bout 6 top favorite channels, 1/3 of them are story telling/creepy reddit reading channels.. But you're one of whom I check my alerts for everyday to see if you've posted something new! You're channel is a real treat! So in this video you said you're more of a minimalist and aren't fond of having a large wardrobe and that you tend to give things away. And as soon as I learned of you I thought of another youtuber whom I'm fond of, her name in Elise Buch (her name is the title of her channel) and she's a young danish woman who opened a shop around Christmas last year and I think your items would sell to her customer base. If you ever were wanting to thin out your wardrobe. She loves vintage items, she seems to favor more 70's fabrics and patterns but appreciates most styles. She (just as you) has this old soul vibe about her. I recently heard of the aesthetic called 'cottage core' and both she and you popped into my mind. I don't know her personally and I have no influence whatsoever in the youtube Universe. I am merely an avid video watcher, but I just wanted to put it into the Universe that I think you two might do well in a collab together.

One of my favourite moments is when these longer clips with "sit down" talk comes along, I get inspired and begin to work on my paintings. Listening to cozy talk and just enjoying the moment. I feel less alone (I don´t get out often but I like being on my own, but sometimes I want company of some sort). So horray for longer vids!

Astrophysics is a science, but Astrology has more in common with religion than science since it involves assuming that everyone born at the same time on the same day of the same year has basically the same personality tropes due to the positions planets and stars millions upon millions of light years away were in at the time of your birth. That just that one singular moment has more bearing on you than the 9 ish months prior to that moment when you were developing in the womb/test tube (depending on conception method) and any exposure to differing hormone levels and so on, or the years after that singular moment is frankly ridiculous. Its basically a very clever thing where if you write a very general statement people will go "yes that's definitely me!" because you've kept it just vague enough that it applies to many people, but also narrow enough that there are people who it won't apply to. They've tested this out by taking the horoscopes written for different star signs in previous issues of various magazines, swapping them over to pretend they applied to a different star sign and then presented them to people who said they believe in horoscopes. The vast majority of people felt that they applied really well to their day when they looked back at it afterwards.

I feel it's not prude to not like watching or talking about sex. It's just preference. I don't prefer sex jokes, scenes, or talking about it. I'm fine talking about sex on a educational level. I'm not squimish about that. I think it's good to understand the body and how both biological sexes' bodies work.
But I don't need to watch others, it not that it's uncomfortable per se to me, it's just not interesting to me. I don't care what or how other people do their intimacies. Basically, it's boring to me.
Also, if you're not my S.O., you don't have a reason to know my preferences in that regard, or what I do with him. And I don't really care about what you do with yours. Unless you're trying to explain a medical issue you're concerned about. Example: I don't care what was put where and how you felt about it, but if you're like: is it normal to bleed a little bit after intercourse. Then sure, go ahead. Well discuss on a medical or biological level.
And finally, sex jokes are just dumb. They're not funny to me, and are usually at the expensive of the female participant. Not all, or always, but a fair number of them are. It's not even: "That's gross." It's more like "are you 12? I don't get it how that's supposed to be funny." Because as an adult, I feel sex jokes are just told by teenagers who have not experienced sex before and usually only funny to them.
To me, this doesn't seem prude.

I've been wanting to adopt senior dogs ever since I was a kid so this year I thought "What the heck?" and I finally did it. I looked at rescues/shelters and selected the ones that were the eldest and had a rough background. Chose a 12 year old chihuahua with a missing jaw, a horrible heart murmur, and fractured ribs. Then went to a rescue and adopted a 12 year old shepherd mix who was in a crate for many years. I'm a sucker for sad stories, my background is I'm an RN. Adopting senior dogs has been one of the most rewarding moments of my life thus far. They are so forgiving and for them the past is the past. From here on out they will be loved and cared for.

I'm pescatarian, but my partner isn't. If I make a curry, I simply do the "meats" separately, and then just mix the sauce in the bowl when serving. It takes planning but you can work around it!

@@HJKelley47 Actually I think the studies say it's the other way around. Younger generations read way more than the older generations. We just use different mediums for it now, like e-books, although traditional books are still very popular. As much as it's easy to blame the internet for the perceived (but likely incorrect) assumption that Millennials (and probably Zoomers too) read less, the internet has actually only made it easier to find books and other reading material. It's a lot easier to feel motivated to read a book when it's literally only a few taps on the screen or clicks with the mouse away, than it was when you had to walk down to a bookstore or the library.

Aww if you ever find yourself in Europe (there is Disney Paris *wiggles eyebrows*) and take a little detour to Germany, visit us. Hubby and I have 6 dogs, all rescues and all either sick/disabled/old. We started doing this about 14 years ago when we got an eight year old little dog lady, she was neglected and abused and unfortunately he had cancer, but if I had to do it all over again, I would say yes. :) We are all ruled by one feline overlord, Max.

I took in a blind, 13-year-old (at the time) chihuahua on a whim in 2017, and it’s the best thing I’ve ever done. She’s currently 15 and I love this baby more than anything. Its so rewarding knowing you’re giving old fur babies a second chance at a good, happy life. I highly, highly recommend doing it when you’re ready for it!!

Being vegetarian is a lot easier then people think! I usually eat what my family eats I just switch out the main meat dish for a vegetarian option. So if you are really curious about it I’d say go for it! I’m really not disciplined when it comes to food and controlling myself but not eating meat hasn’t been difficult so if I can do it than anyone can 😊
I will say this about the second dog, because I was on the fence with my rescue. I wanted to still give her _all_ my love and attention, but on the flip side, dogs especially usually can do really well having another four legged friend with whom to nap and run around. Your love isn't 'lost' per se because you're providing them with a companion who can fill in when you are editing, going out with NIck, etc. I adopted a senior dog (eight years old) for my three year old rescue, and she is so much better behaved, doesn't bark at every passerby, and just loves snoozing on the couch with her buddy. I didn't think I'd be able to love my dog as much, and I was afraid of neglecting her in some way, but somehow everything fell into place perfectly. I loved this video, and thank you so much for opening up to us!

When I was in middle school I read the book The Outsiders in class and never payed attention. Then later I was sitting in class and they said there, read a book. So I ended up getting SO into it. It’s the main reason I got into vintage. I suggest the audio book.

It was fun seeing how you responded to people's assumptions about you. Audio books are a wonderful way to read I read a lot that I would not ever sat down and read like "Moby
Dick" when I worked as a janitor. Probably should have read "War and Peace" then too. hehehe You will really enjoy them and another good place for reading them is long road trips and traffic backups. Very relaxing in clogged city traffic!
Like you I rock the "pessimest/pleasently suprised mode and it believe it does wonders for ones emotional health. Really admire your dicipline to wait a while for children, and your open attitudes about other people's lifestyles and beliefs. You are using all the wonderful atributes of the human mind as they are designed to be used. Being a "bit of a prude" as you described it is a wise thing. Many things in our lives should and need not be discussed but with a few of our "personal elect". If more people did this a lot of trouble could be avoided.
My advice to you relax in your PJ's whenever you want and revel in people's assumptions of you. By not forcing your cat to do anything you will have her eating out of your hand. Sure works with my cat Patches ignore her just a little bit and she puts her cat pride on the shelf and comes begging for attention! Oh and fireplaces and candles are out of this world.

Just want to mention on a point you made, about being different on screen than in person; it's natural and normal - it's call a Social Face, the person we are when we are with people. We are using our interaction tools. It's not fake, it's just another layer of us. No one should be accusing others of being fake on YT; bugs the heck outta me, them saying that. And people should try this: Film yourself and see how much energy you need to expound to look "normal". If you don't amp it up a bit, no one will watch cuz you come across zombie-ish. 9:20 - you are brilliant. I am close enough to be planning my retirement and I thought about fostering kittens - which would be hard (I have 13 cats. You can see I have issues with letting go). But taking in elderly cats would be something to think about. Although it's hard to let go, giving them a good quality of life for their final years would be worth the pain of loss.
Several years ago my family moved to Kentucky and the house we bought came with cats. One was a feral we named Frank who lived under the porch (one-eyed, wonky teeth, raggedy coat - who couldn't love him?) I coaxed him into becoming my best cat friend by spending a summer lying on the porch and using a long forsythia branch to get him to play. Sadly he had to be put down the following year (feline leukemia) but for the time we had together he got to be loved and cuddled and played with and well fed, and understood it was okay to let someone tickle his belly. (I am now verklempt).
My house used to get a lot of paranormal activity happening when my dogs died :) it was just nice knowing they were still there even if it's on a different plane :)

If the jokes you make and the things you do in editing are for the purpose of entertaining yourself, then that is authentic and that is being yourself. Everybody has different versions of themselves, like most people don't act exactly the same at work as they would on a night out with their friends. That doesn't mean that they're not being themselves or they're "trying too hard" in either of those situations.
I personally don't think you need to do anything differently. I found your channel very recently and I've really been enjoying it! It's clear to me that you are enjoying yourself when you make jokes or silly voices or anything like that, and that makes it even better.
I think k you're super sweet and honest. That's what first drew me in.....and vintage on a budget really helped. BTW: how was the. Beauty Bakery? I've been wanting to try them out.

I have bout 6 top favorite channels, 1/3 of them are story telling/creepy reddit reading channels.. But you're one of whom I check my alerts for everyday to see if you've posted something new! You're channel is a real treat!
So in this video you said you're more of a minimalist and aren't fond of having a large wardrobe and that you tend to give things away. And as soon as I learned of you I thought of another youtuber whom I'm fond of, her name in Elise Buch (her name is the title of her channel) and she's a young danish woman who opened a shop around Christmas last year and I think your items would sell to her customer base. If you ever were wanting to thin out your wardrobe. She loves vintage items, she seems to favor more 70's fabrics and patterns but appreciates most styles. She (just as you) has this old soul vibe about her. I recently heard of the aesthetic called 'cottage core' and both she and you popped into my mind.

One of my favourite moments is when these longer clips with "sit down" talk comes along, I get inspired and begin to work on my paintings. Listening to cozy talk and just enjoying the moment. I feel less alone (I don´t get out often but I like being on my own, but sometimes I want company of some sort). So horray for longer vids!

Astrophysics is a science, but Astrology has more in common with religion than science since it involves assuming that everyone born at the same time on the same day of the same year has basically the same personality tropes due to the positions planets and stars millions upon millions of light years away were in at the time of your birth. That just that one singular moment has more bearing on you than the 9 ish months prior to that moment when you were developing in the womb/test tube (depending on conception method) and any exposure to differing hormone levels and so on, or the years after that singular moment is frankly ridiculous.
Its basically a very clever thing where if you write a very general statement people will go "yes that's definitely me!" because you've kept it just vague enough that it applies to many people, but also narrow enough that there are people who it won't apply to. They've tested this out by taking the horoscopes written for different star signs in previous issues of various magazines, swapping them over to pretend they applied to a different star sign and then presented them to people who said they believe in horoscopes. The vast majority of people felt that they applied really well to their day when they looked back at it afterwards.
