In this video need waxed cords 0.5mm:
- noctilucent orange: 1 cord x 40cm; 6 cords x 80cm; 1 cord (0,25mm) x 70cm
- white: 2 cords x 80cm
- yellow: 2 cords x 80cm
- orange carrot: 2 cords x 80cm
- 1 bead x 8mm ( yellow)
- 2 bead x 8mm (black)

Thanks for the tutorial. It is a bit harder than your other koi tutorial, but it understandable. It was hard to follow the threads, especially on the tails at the begining of the knots. I have to do some corrections, but I finished. Unfortunatelly I dont have that type of cord, so the tail part is not as nice as yours.
Even a beginner can do it. So go for it! ;)

oh you can buy them at any craft store. I bought at a market near my place
Or you can use other similar wires. I think nylon will be fine but a bit hard, just give it a try :)

I don't have ever try with 3mm cord, so I'm not sure the excactly measurement of the cord that you need.
But I have a advice for you.
Don't make the length too short (because in case of excessive length, you can cut it)
