Looks like hard work fishing among all that weed. You get days when the pike just don't stick to the hooks and it's always frustrating.

It is a bit hard to fish at the moment on the canals and sometimes it looks like that I don't have the hooks at all 😂 becouse I saw some fish were swallowed whole fly and i stil couldn't set the hook 🤔

@@EUAngler Had the same problems myself. Seen the pike engulf the lure but still not stick to the hook.

We've fished this section a couple times, we don't have any videos from catches that way yet, didn't film back then camera's wasn't invented... 🤣😂🤣 just kidding. Give us a follow back you may bump into us on the canal path. We sometimes go BCLM sections. Bit warm at moment for Canal pike, so we going hit river and pools for other species for bit.

Question to you, do you prefer a fast or parabolic rod for jig/jerk flies? I am in the process of testing which I prefer.

I prefer fast rod mate, slow action is more likely loose a fish to you and fast action it gives you more control👍🏻and I like to land a fish asap just to release asap and try to get
another one 😅👌🎣
