Just received my RCI 99N4 and did a custom install in a KW 680 with a single Stryker SRA10 antenna, with high quality copper braided ground and cable. next is the 4awg wire install and start tuning the antenna. Cant wait to get this booger up and runnin,!
I used to have a 2950 with expanded frequency with a 150 watt booster with a moonraker 4 beam antenna at a 2 degree upper tilt I was actually talking to people in Alaska and Florida and they thought I was in town from north central Missouri
Hiya James! The 99N2 is on our list, but just so you know - it's exactly the same radio as the N4 we talked about in this video. It's just half the power output! All of the features are identical between the N4 and the N2, the *only* difference is the size of the RF deck.
The RF deck toggle switch changes whether the bottom RF deck is enabled or not. With the switch in the down position, the radio's output is usually around 5 watts AM carrier / 30 watts PeP modulation.
Took me a while to save up for this. Had it Truckerized for 600 watts pep before delivery. All in, I'm at about 1300. But well worth it. It is beautiful.
And you think a HAM operator won't know what rx,tx means?????? Are you marketing this to a cb ER who has had only am 40 channel radios ????? If so you are promoting sales of an illegal use radio!!!!🙊🙉🙈
We also cover the volume control - as well as every other feature on this radio. We don't make assumptions that everyone knows everything about a radio, so we cover every feature.
@@walcottradio I only ask as a 50 year hobbyist and the fact that that radio is HAM NOT CB YOU ARE MARKETING A HAM RADIO AS IF IT WERE A CB ( and no I am not licensed ham but was working with an Elmer learning basics back in day but he passed on and my mentored line stopped )
I'm glad you had an opportunity to get one-on-one mentorship by someone! I'm sure you realize, that's a privilege not all people have. We are showing the features of a 10 meter radio functioning on 10 meter frequencies. It's our intention to speak plainly and clearly without making assumptions that everyone watching these videos automatically has 50 years of first-hand experience with the hobby :)
@@walcottradio thanks I know you don't open band D up for 11 in the order of new my experience was with yaseu 101E in the end of the 70s early 80s can't believe what they can do in electronics these days thanks for conversation
Ignore the old stick-in-the-mud ham operator those guys think us 11 meter guys aren't good enough for a radio like that of course we would only buy one to listen to 10 m and nothing else.... Walcott you guys are awesome
i bought one of these high powered radios from ranger and was not impressed. even bought a 60 amp power supply for it it gave out after one year. swr 1.1 i would never buy another one
Awesome radio, and I appreciate you showing what I wish I could afford. Thank you!
I have the 2970 N2. Why did they cut the last diget for the frequency on all the newer radios

Not on the radio subject here but Autumn's voice sounds a lot like Katina the competitive eater. From Katina eats Kilos.
Mine from here had backswing on modulation. Otherwise good radio.
I HAVE THE RCI 99 N2 THE N4 RCI IS MY NEXT PURCHASE 🔥🔥🔥💪💪💪💯💯💯👌
👍🏻
Sweet but out my budget range
