Callide Oxyfuel Project launch

The Callide Oxyfuel project marks the beginning of a new generation of coal fired power stations. CCS is an integral element of the Australian Government's strategy to increase energy security while reducing carbon emissions.
Minister for Resources and Energy, Hon. Martin Ferguson MP, and CS Energy CEO David Brown speak at the 14/11/08 launch of the Callide Oxyfuel Project at the CS Energy facility in Biloela, Queensland.
The project is a joint venture that comprises of CS Energy, Xstrata Coal, Australian Coal Association, Coal 21 Fund, Schlumberger, J Power, Mitsui & Co. and IHI corporation.
