Thanks for sharing mate! i broke my neck surfing in 1998 and am a quadriplegic as well. i think sharing our story is important for everyone in the world to inspire and educate them! i was a bit nervous about starting a you tube channel and opening up, but im glad i did! keep up the great work and i hope your ok
Hi I'm a new subscriber. I love How positive you are! You are a beautiful Soul. Keep up your positivity, you bring strength to other people who watch videos. Thank You for sharing!!!
The daily meditation and goal setting seems like a good idea :) I might try that myself. I clicked on this video to research for a quadriplegic character I want to write in a comic, and came away with some good advice for my disorganised ass :p
Oh interesting! It must be the same quote that you've talked about in previous videos. Yes wishing for proper care, after I move out of here. You only can get so much here. But it's OK I'm used to it
Yeah it looks like home will be around 1 to 3 months from now. I finally finished all the things that I need to do and it's just a matter of waiting for the government to finalize everything. Super excited to start my career
Yeah that would be super cool! Would be nice to me and some of the people I've met or got a quaint it worth on TH-cam. Yes they can be a hassle but now you know a better way
I've got Spina Bifida I also have Kidney Disease. I've live in a skilled-nursing facility for 5 yrs and I know exactly what goes on in a facility like yours. We're also on LOCKDOWN because of the Pandemic which REALLY REALLY SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!
Oh my dear my heart goes out to you! It does not have to be that way I'm actually getting discharged next Monday. I have been here 11 months and it might take that long to get out but it's well worth it honey. I can't imagine five years, To be honest I could barely imagine one but i'm glad that i'm extremely adaptable because there's a lot of people that can't mentally handle these kinds of situations. You're a fighter my dear and let me know if you want to know the process of getting out.
Good afternoon from Indonesia Alex.. I wish my home was close with ur home.. So, i can help you there.. May God bless you there and here I will pray to the Lord for always protect and give u a health life 💙💙
Thank you so much honey you’re so sweet actually one of my nurses from India and one day I will visit most likely in a couple years. Maybe we can meet then
That is a very good question Joshua. The answer is no. There are a few different options as quadriplegic. The first option is what I do. This auction consist of doing a daily battle program. Every morning I wake up at 4:30 AM I need a suppository. After I do this I go on the commode chair and whatever happens that day is what happens for the whole day 98% of the time. When you do this you don't need to worry about having accidents throughout the day. It is a one and done kind of deal... The second option it's not going on a program and just letting the body do whatever it wants. A lot of people that do this or even on more laxatives and I am on. Honestly this is a terrible route because once you afterward diapers and rely on others to help you throughout the day. Instead of once a day like I do... Then there is the third option and that is where do you have this colostomy bag. This item is connected at your stomach and you don't even use your butt anymore. Honestly in my opinion this is a last resort as well because you want to keep it as natural as possible until you absolutely can't. But for people that do the third option as well they don't use diapers either unless if it's for urine related things. For me I cannot pee myself. That's why I do catheters every four hours and that just works great!
