Black Hills Central number 104 is a 2-6-2 saddle tank engine built by Baldwin in 1926. Starting its career in state of Oregon, 104 worked for the Silver Falls Timber Company and the Peninsula Terminal Railroads in Portland. In 1965, 104 and its sister engine 103 were purchase by the Black Hills Central Railroad. While 103 was in storage and used for parts, 104 continued to run regular four-car trains. Now with the BHC firing up 2-6-6-2T number 108 to regular service, 104 is currently facing an unknown future of operating as it hasn't run since 2019. These videos were mostly taken in the falls of 2018 and 19 with a test run in May 2018 and regular service in May 2019.
    Enjoy the video.
