Welcome to Surf Fishing! Peg locations for the drop loops are two equidistant triangles 5" apart. The two top pegs are 16” apart. The spool peg can be placed anywhere as long as there's enough space for the spool to turn freely.
I used rig boards to accommodate my customers for many years now I use small pill bottles that are moisture proof easy to store and easy to throw one to an angler in need sweet and easy
Great video !!! What is the measurement (drop) to sinker and what test line are you using for your rig ???? Thanks !!! Looking forward for more great how to video...
Tisis a great Idea but maybe I missed some thing =.It would be very helpfulto give the meaursments where you place the pegs on the board in example the firt peg is set at x amount of inches from the end of board.
how are you putting tension on the spool so the line stay tight like that? might be a dumb question but Ive watched 4 videos on these things and no one has said anything about it
Great!! I would like to make a continuous spool of rigs so I can spool one off as needed while surf fishing. How much space between last and first droppers should I leave for sinker and swivel? I am thinking 36" so that there would be 18" line outside T and B droppers to attach sinker and swivel? More? Thanks.
Nice! I like that idea! I think 18 inches on each end is good so that you have enough tag for your swivel and sinker rigging. Also, try a single drop rig especially in clearer water, some people think that the double drop can scare away the pomps. The double drop is nice because you have a chance to double up when the school runs through and of course for different bead, float, bait, and depth combinations.
Good mrng. Hope you are well. Truly enjoyed your video. I would like to purchase a peg board from you sir. How much would you charge me for one of them? I would want the board a little wider. Because I will have a commercial role of spool. Can you get back to me and let me know if you can build me one. This would totally help me with speed as I make 50 a night the old fashion way. Thank you sir.
Thanks for the comment! 5" triangles will get you a dropper loop that's around 4.5" long. Really depends on how tight or loose you tie it down, but approximately four and half inches give or take.
Greetings! Here’s a link to a business that offers a really nice rig board. Not sure if they can customize one for you, but perhaps they sell something that will accommodate your needs birdofpreyfishingtackle.com/products/pompano-rig-tying-board
Great video!!! Was just watching th-cam.com/video/inCvRMrmmXw/w-d-xo.html. I couldn't comment there, so will do so here. Of the endless videos showing how to tie various knots, you have the absolute BEST photography! It is well lighted, slow enough, visible, etc. GREAT JOB! And I really like the board too. You have a new Sub.
Really like your video. I'd like to make my own rigs, new to surf fishing. Could you post dimensions for peg locations?

AWESOME! Thank you! Another fun little winter project I can add!
I made mine the other day. Huge time saver.

Since the line is wrapped around the pegs it stays nice and tight
Good
Glad you like!

I will have to disagree with how you are putting your hook on.
Everyone makes rigs just a little different. Thanks for the comment!
Yep, the line should enter from the hook side instead of the back side when using circle hooks
