i don’t know where you are from brother….but if doing mankad can be taken with the law and everything….what did shakib do wrong over there….!?! i saw teams like srilanka and india are doing mankads too….so whats this fuss about??? …it was about to effect our chances in CT….so as a captain he did everything to put the team in a better position…how is that even wrong???
@@AsifAli-mm5hybecause of their this disrespectful behaviour against other teams, nobody likes Bangladesh in world cricket. That's why when NETHERLANDS beat Bangladesh, nobody even talk about that, 😂😂
@AsifAli-mmhy My friend the difference is in the intent. I consider mankading to be within the spirit of the game when the non-striker is taking an undue advantage by staying out of the crease in order to take tight single. Furthermore, there are some batsmen do not pay any heed to the warnings. They certainly deserved to be mankaded. Here Mathews wasn't trying to do any of that, neither his 5-10 second delay would have impacted Bangladesh in any unfair way. Following such practices speaks volumes of cheap mentality of the personalities and the lack of self-confidence in the Bangladesh team.
Shoaib Malik & Misbah ..its nice to hear from you both that you never took such a bad decision that Shakib did today..it clearly shows your personality and spirit of game..
The funniest part is that Bangladesh was the 1st team to be knocked out of world cup. They literally had nothing to lose. Shakib's behaviour could have been justified if Bangladesh was still in race to get 4th position. He gained nothing by winning and instead lost all the respect for him.
In my opinion, this rule has to be changed. In such a situation, instead of declaring the batsman is out, they can impose a penalty of a certain percentage of the match fee similar to the over-rate penalty. A matter of safety of the batsman is also involved in this incident. So this rule has to be definitely withdrawn from Cricket
May be they can add in the rule if person has issues in helmet pads or any gears then this rule will not be applicable as it is a direct threat to the batters life or as you said imposed penalty fine over fine or reduce the player in power play out side 30 yard
Yes i do agree , Ahmedabad stadium where pavilion and ground is so far cricketer has to walk in the lobby before entering on the ground or give them facility of escaltor instead of walking they can come by escaltor which help him to reach on pitch in time
Maybe they can retire hurt the batsmen in such a case, and he can only come in to bat when all the other wickets of the team has fell. This would make the situation worse for the batting team and will ensure that the batsman arrives within time and faces the first ball
Why would he withdraw the appeal? He was following the rules. It's like the police asking me if I should withdraw my report against the guy who did a hit and run. He broke the rules and thus should face the consequences.
Umpire knows that, In recently Bangladesh did a mankad out Against new zealand, After giving out by the umpire then BD captain withdrew the appeal then batter called back to the field to bat. Thats why, umpire said, if i give it out then would you again try to withdraw the appeal? Shakib said no. Actually this match was a really important match for the team because of getting a chance to play the champions trophy. If they lose then 80% chances of playing the champions trophy will be gone. It is common sense that your equipment is broken, share the situation with umpire, i need to change it. Why did you come and go for change as you want, and its over 3 minutes.! You have been playing for 15 years!
lol, why this double standard? some days ago while they withdraw the mankad out then critic says they break the rules, it's not bad spirit it's simply the rule, now while they went with the rule you're saying shakib's fault, it's like shakib gave that out, why this double standard? why the heck icc even made this rule and umpire gave out? while creating this rule icc didn't check it's spirit? ridiculous.
You being an indian fan are obviously going to have a double standard... Ashwin gets cheap wicket with mankad and that's ok, but somehow moin khan appealing for timed out is bad? Chal nikal.
Sri Lankans invested in poor quality helmet & their player was not ready & angry with his helmet. But this is world cup game. Players should be alert & ready. Blaming Shakib is stupid because he followed the rulebook of @ICC. Now cry as much as you want but we won the game
Love for the SL team, they are a good bunch of players, very sorry they could not hit the semis due to so many injuries in their team, specially Hasaranga and others! Love from Pakistan to our SL brothers

@@MohammadShahidurRahman-99kmankading was k... Bro.. because its a real mistake.... the batsman does that mistake and others can appeal that.... It can be done as a warning too... But here .. its not a mistake... The strap of the helmet was broken ... Mathews had no idea ... So after reaching the ground withing 2 minutes he went to replace that.... U cant compare mankadin with this shit.. even angelo Mathews told that..... 😊
My question is if the batsman had to play with the helmet not in order because of time out and if he gets hit by a bouncer and goes into coma, who would be responsible?
mathews should be ready with all his kits. he is not sitting in park to enjoy his time.then it was spin over so no worries for bouncer in that over atleast 😂
As a professional player you have to make sure you are ready with all the equipment befor going to the criss,.. So all the player have to know the rules of ICC. Unfortunately Mathews missed it. He should have been more conscious about the rules
At that time Shakib was bowling who is a spinner so he could play the over without helmet and asked for a new helmet after Shakib's over. Common sense Bro...😂
The main point should be if Batsman wore that helmet and played first ball, and then call for a new helmet the game would hve gone on as usual even if everyone had to wait for more than 3 minutes. I think Sri Lankan batsman didn't thought about this solution.
@@Urgrannytranny but this is where the umpires need to use their discretion. They knew he came out ready and was at the crease on time. What happened was purely accidental while he was at the crease. If umpires don’t use proper judgement then it’s going to affect the game. Ppl are upset because bangla used this rule in a very dirty way
This is what can be expected from Shakib. Cricket is a gentleman's sport and the Bangladesh captain showed his small mindedness. This is of course within the rules, but should only be applied when the batsman is intentionally delaying. But that didn't happen here. Shakib is returning home after winning the World Cup but it's not for cricket it's for small mindedness.
Sri Lankans invested in poor quality helmet & their player was not ready & angry with his helmet. But this is world cup game. Players should be alert & ready. Blaming Shakib is stupid because he followed the rulebook of @ICC. Now cry as much as you want but we won the game
Why are you barking at Shakib? He just appealed. Whether it's out or not ,the umpires have to decide. They decided that he was out. People are talking as if Shakib kicked Mathews out of the ground by force. Champions trophy was at stake. Bangladesh had to win this match to quilify.
Angelo Mathew said that no other team would have done that but Mr. Moin Khan said it was a good decision and he would have done the same. For me as a Pakistani, this is very disappointing to watch. You can clearly see Shakib's decision damaged his country's reputation around the world. I would like to see PCB adding a rule in their law that "No future captain should stoop to this level as you are the ambassador of Pakistan. If a captain does something like this, then Vice Captain and other senior players would suggest him to withdraw that appeal". I have been a regular viewer of your show and I thought this is the best show. I loved it when Shoaib and Misbah said that with 100% conviction that they wouldn't have appealed. I'm sure no one would want a player whose cunning damages the reputation of Pakistan. Lastly in India vs Pakistan Virat Kohli made a point by looking at an imaginary watch when Rizwan came and I am sure Babar would never make an appeal like this ever. It's a request that in the next edition of your show, leave the foxes in the jungle. Thank you.
No hypocrisy from Moin, respect Sir, loved your cricket back in the days. What "I would have done" cannot be the standard you apply to others in a very different state of their life and career. And this match wasn’t a dead rubber at all, champions trophy qualification was at stake!
Respects to the panelists who have not supported the action of Bangladesh captain. I would like to add two points: 1. Cricket is not a jung or war. It is a sport played to imbibe life qualities of fairness and learning to accept defeat gracefully while remaining modest in victory. 2. A couple of decades ago, it was a Pakistan bowler who stumped the batsman at non striker end for having crossed the crease before delivery. In contrast, a WI bowler (Harper, if I am right) exposed the Pakistan batsman in the same way but did not stum him out. Pakistan batsman had returned to the crease shamelessly, continued the play and won the match. That is the great sportsmanship of WI players. World acknowledges the gesture of WI bowler while criticising Pakistan batsman even today.
Bangladesh may not be known for their outing in this world cup but certainly they made their name known and being the first country for reasons beyond anyone's imagination.
I remember during the final of Nidahas Trophy in which Dinesh Kartik hit the ball for a 6 and made India win the match, Bangladesh had taken a drinks break during that last over to break the flow.
if ICC had gone by rule book, point by point, dot by dot, Bangladesh would not have got Test Status at all. Its in the spirit of the game that ICC gave them test status.
Shakib Al Hasan didn't play that game😂😂😂 it was Litton Das captaining and it was he's decision to call back Ish Sodhi!! leaving Tamim Iqbal not pleased!😲.. Tamim Iqbal was in the playing 11 in that series tooo
mankading and delaying both arent the same thing.as a bangladeshi i strongly disagree about what shakib did on the field yesterday. very ugly scenario in international cricket
Few days ago Liton Das as a Captain had recalled Ish Sodhi but this time Angelo Mathews though reached before time on to the crease was not recalled by Shakib

Laws of game are solid and are there for certain reasons. Lawmakers can’t foresee every single possibility and make an exception on these and it’s always left to sportsman’s integrity that he would do the right thing when a dubious situation arises. Obviously there are certain players who don’t understand the concept and take bad decisions and then get criticised.
@manish - what’s your point - that is very infamous decisions even Australians are shameful about it - another example of ‘use commonsense & stick to spirits of games’ rather than hiding behind stupid laws of cricket. BTW the intent of laws are to keep the game moving ie. no deliberate delays. In this instance - that’s not what Angelo Matthews was attempting to do.
@@riteshkaushik That's what I wanted to convey - the action that is currently seen within the laws of the game will always be remembered as a black mark in Shakib's career. He will certainly regret his action later in his life.
You were going home anyway big guy, 5-10 secs wouldn't have made much difference. Lost the tournament but could've won some hearts today, failed pretty badly there too. Honestly, he deserves all the boos he can get for ruining the spirit of this beautiful sport.

Unbeknownst to Rex, like the other reporters, two minutes had passed before Angelo Mathews wanted to change his helmet due to a torn strap. The fourth umpire of this match, Adrian Holdstock, explained the whole process in an interview with the official broadcaster of the World Cup. It is the duty of the TV umpire to take care of these two minutes. It was the TV umpire who informed the on-field umpires that two minutes had passed before Mathews was ready to play the ball. However, whether or not to appeal the timed out was of course up to Shakib. Holdstock also announced the timing of that appeal. After the strap of the helmet was torn. So Shakib didn't appeal even after getting the chance? Couldn't stand it anymore when Matthews was taking more time to talk about the ribbon tearing? There was no way to get this answer during the match.
Spirit of cricket also means accepting decisions in a gentleman manner! Why Mathew didn’t use his common sense and why he didn’t respect the decision which is in law, specially when its about time and the same time that penalizes the fielding team. IMO both are out of the spirit but Mathews more so!
There are rules and there are reasons behind the rules. The rule exists so that the batting team does not spend too much time sending in the next batsman. If it did not exist, just like fielding position discussions, the decision of which batsman to send next could take forever. If Angelo Mathews had taken his own sweet time to move his ass and take position and the rule invoked, it is understandable. However in this case, the batsman arrived on time. Typically many don't strap on the helmet tightly and await their turn to bat. Angelo Mathews comes in and when he adjusts his helmet strap it comes off. Now this is risky, both from a batsman's personal safety as well as the fact that if the helmet were to fall off and the ball hits it or the helmet falls on the stumps, it will invoke another dozen rules. Actually, the on field umpires themselves should have called for a time-out, particularly because the batsman can clearly be seen notifying the umpire and the opposite captain about having to change helmets. For this rule to be invoked in such a case seems jarring.
Wasim has already lived his words. He/Pakistan did not let Sachin bat once because Sachin was off the field for a certain time when India was fielding first. When India came to bat, they lost a couple wickets early. Sachin was set to come 2 down or so, but Wasim as captain told the umpire, Sachin has to sit out the time he was out of the field and only then can come for batting. This way Pakistan had a bigger chance to put India on the backfoot because in those early 90's only Sachin put on a fight.
I think you are confused with SA and Pakistan, It was south africa where sachin was out of ground for some time hence he was not allowed to bat before certain time and 2 early wickets fell
@@hardrockbharatyeah today's news did talk about SA vs India match when Ganguly took 6mins to come to bat cz Sachin wasn't allowed for the reason you mentioned and Viru was in the bath 😅.I tried to google Wasim's and Sachin incident but could not find it.Wonder which year/tournament it was.

do or die situation for Bangladesh for that champions trophy spot. Mathews on the pitch ,would have added 30 -40 more runs on the board and that will hamper them in run chase. As there is a law so he used it ,he clearly said it was a war . But in the end he scored 82 ,so it is not that srilanka took revenge on him. Again if this law is against sportsmanship then why you created this law. About sportsmanship about us don't talk about it ,just watch Bangladesh vs nez recent match before Wc, even in one of the match between afg vs ban ,there was run out case and there this shakib showed sportsmanship.
and what about all the mankads bro!?!…rules are there but needed a bit of sportsmanship like starc i guess…or spirit of the game is not a concern when team india play!?!😅😅

If someone do something lawfully, even if it might not pleasing, you can't blame him. You can praise him if he wouldn’t do that in that situation. The way Angelo blamed not only Shakib but also entire Bangladesh is also very disrespectful and unfortunate. Remember, they did not shake the hands which is purely against the spirit of the game. Shakib could've do otherwise but it was absolutely lawful and all the umpires were agreed.
Both the team ruined the spirit of game...there is no rule of Shaking hands to yes Srilanka is also within their rights to not shake hand with cheaters
@@RaviKumar-ww6vc You can see you have double standard in your comment. You said both team did against the spirit of the game. Again you claimed BD team as cheater. Both the team brought disrespect to the game today, specially Angelo and Sakib, both should be banned from Cricket for a year for bringing shame to this game today.
its protective gear which means you dont care if ball hits him.. very funny u talk about law like do we take player safety seriously or not? why waste time everytime ball hits helmet and they check for concussion?? Ancient laws need to be scrapped and rewritten.
I am surprised how ignorant all these reporters and analysts are never was this a dead rubber game for either Sri Lanka and Bangladesh there is still a spot for Champions Trophy 2025 which Pakistan has qualified as hosts and yes maybe Bangladesh wont win and play badly but qualifying still matters. In Bangladesh Shakib has faced a lot of criticism for bad performance, he even said this was like war for him. Yes, I do agree he was not on the right and very unsportmanship but more than blaming Shakib you should blame the umpires more for allowing this to happen why didn't they check that mathews 5-10 left and I am sure a lot of captains would take this wicket if asked so blame it on the umpires!!!
Sakib has the right to do the right thing. He and his team was fined /punished( few times (during his captaincy) for taking more than allowed time in match. At the end ICC won't stop punishing him or his team . Every player should respect the ICC law, for unexpected circumstances like what happened today ICC must make exceptions. What happened today may not be nice but lawful. Both team under pressure, wanted to win eagerly , why should one team gives chances to other team on a battle. By the way Why do they bring defective equipment in ICC world cup, They could have brought best quality Helmet from the market outside the stadium .
Moin’s response of support and even Wasim’s sort of greyish response to this is not just disappointing but highly shocking. Loved clear cut clarity in responses from Misbah & Shoaib to apply commonsense and maintain spirit of cricket.
"Why are some people blaming Shakib for everything? Before pointing fingers at him, let's consider the following points: 1. Mathews is a professional and senior player; he should be aware of the ICC's 2-minute rule. His behavior suggested he might not have been familiar with this rule. 2. Being an experienced player, Mathews should ensure the condition of his equipment. If his helmet was defective, he should have replaced it before going onto the pitch. 3. Facing a spinner with a defective or no helmet is undoubtedly not a safety concern. 4. Once on the pitch, if Mathews noticed his helmet was defective, he should have approached the umpire for permission before leaving to get a new one. 5. This was not a simple match for Bangladesh. It was a do-or-die situation if they wanted to qualify for the Champions Trophy, and the same applied to Sri Lanka. 6. When a team has lost six consecutive matches, the captain may do everything within the bounds of the law to turn things around. And sakib did so.
During an Indian Pakistan match ( I think it was in Kolkata ) when a ball thrown at the non striker end by a Pakistani fielder towards the bowler. The bowler stumbled and collided with Sachin Tendulkar which made him slip out of the crease and the bowler holding the ball broke the wicket and appealed for a run out. Waseem Akram was part of the team then. So Mr. Akram where was your sense of fairplay then ?
Aktar was trying to collect the ball. He moved backwards to let the ball his the stumps. Sachin ran towards him. Nobody expected the fielder to direct hit from the boundary
Are yaar I am an Indian and I am saying this ke aj jo hua uske koi comparison nehi. Betuki baatein maat karo. Aj jo hua woh 1871 se kareeban 20,000 international matches mein kabhi nehi hua . Iska koi comparison nehi. Sharmnak!!!
Your recollection of the match is incorrect. That was 1999 Kolkata test. On day 4, Wasim Akram was bowling to Sachin. Sachin clipped it through mid wicket. Shahid Afridi chased the bowl. Shoaib Akhtar ran upto the bowling stumps to back up the throw (looking at Mid Wicket, and not at Sachin) and Sachin ran into Shoaib while completing the third, and Shahid direct hit the stumps from boundary. Tendulkar was short of the crease and was declared run out by the third umpire. They did look into Sachin and Shoaib collision and deemed that was not intentional as both of them were watching the ball and Shoaib was stationary looking away from Sachin when Sachin run into him. Your description of the incident makes it sound like completely different. And to just FYI, when crowd rioted for perceived injustice, it was Sachin who came outside and calmed everyone. And even in press conference said it was his mistake that he was ball watching on the third run.

There is no question of not using common sense. If something is within the law, a team has every right to use it. And laws are made using common sense. If the law that a player has to be ready to bat within the allotted time didn't make sense, there wouldn't have been a law of such nature.

It is an old idea that timed out has never been done before and doing it now will be against the spirit of cricket. I think it is very logical in modern cricket with the current laws. Because the over now has to end at a certain time, this rule affects the outcome of the game at several stages. If it takes a little longer than the allotted time of 50 overs, the last power play has to bring a fielder thirty yards from the boundary which gives the batting team an advantage. Besides, the match fee is fined for slow overrate, in this rule, if there is a slow overrate in three matches, the captain of the team will be banned for one match. So in the modern competitive world, 11 players will stand ready and a Batsman will appear and finding one of his gear is non functioning and he will kept the 11-man team wait to take all the risks should not be contrary to any spirit or consciousness. Its modern cricket and the tough level of competitive temperament.
Great Respect for Wasim Akram Bhai! But when it comes to spirit of the game, he clearly said that it depends on, team kounsi hai, situation kya hai, opposition koun si hai.... In Feb 1999 - Eden Gardens, Wasim Akram was the Captain of Pak team and bowling to which Sachin drived the ball for a couple, while trying to complete the third run, Sachin was obstructed by Shoaib at the bowling end eventually running him out by a direct hit from boundary fielder. It was a clear case of obstruction by S Akhtar, Captain Wasim could have called Sachin in w.r.t the spirit of game as he was just 5-7 fts away from wicket. But It was legendary, the great Sachin in question, India were cruising along at 146-2 with Sach and Rahul at the crease. Unfortunately, We, lost the game by 46 runs. Spirit of Game vapourizes when you have legends like Sachin or Virat in front. Nobody ever has asked Wasim this difficult one, i hope he clearly remember this mid Feb 1999 Test Match. I have utmost respect for him as always but that afternoon i felt he should have called Sachin in to the field. Clear case of opposition and situation as he has mentioned above, knew they would have lost it, if Sachin would have batted longer.

If it was Shakib instead of mathews then all ur point of view would have been different. Match was at stake and qualification for champions trophy was at stake. While already facing backlashes for bad performance of the team, as a captain he did what is best for benefit of the team if it helps them to move forward. He performed well and lead the team to good score. Hard for a captain to do everything when team is most like to lose and his own score is not enough alone for a win. In ur shoes you would not have called u all said but when in situation like that u might have had made the call. It's pretty surprising to hear Angelo Mathews express such critical opinions about another captain and their team. One might recall that Mathews was at the helm during a contentious moment in the England vs. Sri Lanka (2014) match where the 'Mankading' incident involving Senanayake and Jos Buttler occurred. As captain, Mathews upheld what some considered a divisive decision. This historical context lends a complex layer to the current discussion on the 'spirit of the game.' It's an opportune moment to reflect that controversies are not uncommon in the sport, and many teams and captains have found themselves navigating the fine line between the rules and the spirit in which they're intended. Every single team or every single player that we have seen at the international level has broken the 'spirit of the game" at some point in their career. Perhaps this reminds the cricket community to practice self-reflection before passing judgment.
Agreed... But will still say that it's no enough to defend what Shakib has done. If you start with the logic of he did so it's ok for me to do it.... Comon dude are you under 19 or even lower?
ICC must review all rules that violate the 'Spirit of the game', if they put those rules in there, then there is NO SHAME in teams/players using it. ICC must review these and remove those rules so the 'spirit of the game' can continue. Don't put players in a situation where they make those decisions due to pressure when the game is on the line.

Rightly said Moin bhai..it was do or die match for champions trophy qualification and one important thing mathews did mankanding in 2012 with jos butler, then where was the spirit of the cricket?
No! Absolutely no need for Shakib to withdraw his appeal for the "time-out" dismissal..Why, you may ask? Simply because the rule is a part of the game since quite long and any dismissal of a batsman under this rule is legitimate. Otherwise, the umpire (Mr Erasmus) wouldn't have had the good sense to declare Mathews out!! Hence, no question of being unethical or going against the "spirit of the game" at all.
In 1996 Titan Cup India vs South Africa Sourav Ganguly accidentally collided with a South African player and was run out, but South African captain Hansie Cronje called him back. Love u Hansie, we will remember you for that.
Do you think , there is conspiracy behind his death , plane crash ,people, say ,it's because of him ,entire ,match fixing scandal got exposed to cricketing world ?
I liked the response of Moin Khan. Rules are rules and people should not complain if a captain follows a rule. People should also not complain in the future about Mankad or Run outs by Wicket keeper etc
My thought is "why is it expected from bowling team to play in sprit of the game" Dont do mankad bcoz isnt not in sprit of game Dont ask for time out bcoz its not in sprit of game But batsman never play in sprit of game...very few batsman walk when they feel they edge ball and were caught, most of them stand and watch Its in rule for a reason
The decision was made by the umpire, not Sakib. So it's a very childish matter to blame Sakib. If there is any rule which is going for us why not we apply it? So simple. After all, it was a very important match for Bangladesh.

Yes i do agree , Ahmedabad stadium where pavilion and ground is so far cricketer has to walk in the lobby before entering on the ground or give them facility of escaltor instead of walking they can come by escaltor which help him to reach on pitch in time
I agree with your suggestion to change the rule but it is the responsibility of the team and batsman to enter the pitch with proper equipment.
It's a threat to life playing with faulty protection gears. There should not be any penalty at all.
Maybe they can retire hurt the batsmen in such a case, and he can only come in to bat when all the other wickets of the team has fell. This would make the situation worse for the batting team and will ensure that the batsman arrives within time and faces the first ball

The reason i believe Shakib was at fault here is because umpires asked him two times if he wanted to withdraw the appeal and he said NO.
Ese to bold krne p bhi out mt do😂
lol, why this double standard? some days ago while they withdraw the mankad out then critic says they break the rules, it's not bad spirit it's simply the rule, now while they went with the rule you're saying shakib's fault, it's like shakib gave that out, why this double standard?
why the heck icc even made this rule and umpire gave out? while creating this rule icc didn't check it's spirit? ridiculous.

Point is he was at the crease ready. The helmet was damaged while he was at the crease and the umpires shouldn’t have made this decision
The main point should be if Batsman wore that helmet and played first ball, and then call for a new helmet the game would hve gone on as usual even if everyone had to wait for more than 3 minutes. I think Sri Lankan batsman didn't thought about this solution.

Respects to the panelists who have not supported the action of Bangladesh captain.
I would like to add two points:

@1:10 this program calculated as 1 minute 50 seconds. Someone should publish the video with timing.
Spirit of cricket also means accepting decisions in a gentleman manner! Why Mathew didn’t use his common sense and why he didn’t respect the decision which is in law, specially when its about time and the same time that penalizes the fielding team.

Nahi.. agar game jeetne ke liye itna niche Jana pade toh sayad game hi khelna band kar dena chahiye..

Shakib should have withdrawn his appeal so that the issue of timing out is highlighted yet the spirit of the game is sustained.
"Why are some people blaming Shakib for everything? Before pointing fingers at him, let's consider the following points:
Very surprised that Wasim said he would have taken the same decision depending on the situation, team. blah blah.. Disappointed.

@@reetammitra2943 agree but when Waseem Akram talks of fairplay it sounds hollow

It depends on the situation, Icc should Remove this law. According to Law Shakibs appeal was Right and thats why Umpire gave him out.
Not to remove law but add unavoidable situations as exceptions ……… like today’s situation
Shame on sakib. Not a sprit of sports...some time you lost the game what wins heart....be gentle
Best part of this clip was "Nobody is Talking"
Kudos to that person who had given the reminder "Nobody is talking" when Mathews incident was displaying ... (Please listen very carefully by using Headphone... From 28 Second to 35 Second)
Who was saying “Nobody is talking” at 00:30 seconds? 😂
Director saying that to fakhar i think
Misbah
Shoaib
Waseem
All are super hero with positive attitude ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤Fakhar is love ❤
If it was Shakib instead of mathews then all ur point of view would have been different. Match was at stake and qualification for champions trophy was at stake. While already facing backlashes for bad performance of the team, as a captain he did what is best for benefit of the team if it helps them to move forward. He performed well and lead the team to good score. Hard for a captain to do everything when team is most like to lose and his own score is not enough alone for a win. In ur shoes you would not have called u all said but when in situation like that u might have had made the call. Sprit and sportsman ship being poor was also seen in ur teams and it was always when playing against Bangladesh, whether fake catch by wicket keeper or the events of final during asia cup against Bangladesh.
Shakib was well within his rights to uphold his appeal -- BUT HE SHOULD HAVE withdrawn it. it is as simple as that. it's called sportsmanship and win or lose - he would have been applauded for that. instead he has soured relations and his reputation
I'm not shocked at Moin Khan's and akram's answer..as the former appealed on a bounce catch against Ganguly and the latter was leveled against fixing charges. Other two gentlemen have clearly denied, respect!.
Spirit of cricket also means accepting decisions in a gentleman manner! Why Mathew didn’t use his common sense and why he didn’t respect the decision which is in law, specially when its about time and the same time that penalizes the fielding team.
IMO both are out of the spirit but Mathews more so!
Maling someone out by that way simply shows how they are that's not cricket yes it is a rule but if u win like that it shows cowardness😂😂
@@madhusmitasahoo6737 lol, why this double standard? some days ago while they withdrew the mankad out then critic says they break the rules, it's against their country, they betrayed their country, it's not bad spirit it's simply the rule and bla bla bla. Now, this time while they went with the rule you're saying it shows cowardness?, it's like saying shakib gave that out not the umpires, why this double standard?
why the heck icc even made this rule and umpire gave out? while creating this rule icc didn't check its going against the spirit or cricket? ridiculous.
Very good channel! Interesting discussions…. I felt the observations are fairly unbiased.
Ye srilankan bhi koi dudh ke dhule huye nehi hai...
1) Nidhas Trophy- whatever happened between them and Bangladesh;
2) In Delhi the Indians requested/begged to the Lankans to complete a game but they complained and walked off as the pitch was bad. The responsible people were punished heavily. Lankans showed no mercy;
3) Delhi Test again- the Indians were batting beatifully. Some 12th man of India came in for some reason wearing a mask. The lankans took this idea and all the fielders wore mask and the drama of air pollution started. They spoilt the momentum of Indian batting. Some fielders were caught smiling behind their mask.
4) Sehwag was on Century - one of their bowlers bowled a big no ball to avoid Sehwag his century.
Sakib made no mistake. Rule is Rule!!! This match was played in Delhi as well.
Yes i do agree , Ahmedabad stadium where pavilion and ground is so far cricketer has to walk in the lobby before entering on the ground or give them facility of escaltor instead of walking they can come by escaltor which help him to reach on pitch in time
When Sachin was run out due to collide with shoib Akhtar in Calcutta test match wasim was captain. So he can not answer that
It was Sachin fault
wow, did you look at where was Sachin running, why he chose same axis as that of fielder ?
i expected moin khan will support shakib as he himself appealed bump catch of ganguly twice.
This is hypocrisy at its finest level! If its legal in cricket, and you can appeal to the umpires and they give it out, whats the issue here? Even few years ago mankading was not deemed true to the spirit of the game and then Sri Lanka and Indian players (esp Ashwin) started doing it on regular basis and now its a norm! Just because it hasnt happened doesnt mean it shouldnt happen. Use your common sense people.
REALLY!!!
Birmingham 2014, 5th ODI SL vs Eng. Butler was batting on 21 at non-striker end and got out on Mankading. This gentleman Mr. Angelo Mathews, the captain of SL appealed for out and Butler had to go that day!! Everything comes back around full circle. One word to Mathews.... Behave.
If you listen to his post match conference he has absolutely lost it! Calling Shakib and Bangladesh disgraceful for doing something lawful in the game of cricket is nothing but disgraceful on his part! As Simon and Vaughn pointed out he could have easily gone to Shak and the umpires to ask for another min but instead of that he just took time on his own disregarding everyone as if hes taking a stroll in the park.@@babac4407
@@babac4407first see that match
He was already warned once or twice but he still left the crease so he mankad him
nothing wrong in it if u have already warned
They should remove such low level mind set cricketer from the panel
We don’t want such player to represent Pakistan
Moin khan
Pakistani players talking about spirit of game.
Remember rashid Latif catch appeal without catching the ball against Bangladesh.
Ek galat chij k wajah se doosari galat chij justify nhi hoti
Cricket has really gone down..It was a shame..
Moen khan said the real thing, others are trying to present themselves as morally high but it’s was within the rule! Interestingly None said icc should changed the rule😅
Why does your video footage of matches always come as a static picture ?? I hope you guys are aware of it. As you might be reviewing it but we see as a static image
One thing for sure, Bangladesh will be the most hated team in cricketing world after this incident and Sahikb the most hated player. I was rooting for BD earlier though post this incident that's never gonna happen 😞
Those who made this kind of rule and regulation 150 years ago should be hated but not Sakib. It was made by the elites as in those days only the elites played cricket. So you think you are much more superior than those elites.... Hehehe
@@sohelsaheen And that's the reason no one ever brought this rule into play despite there were delays in past from many players and here Mathews wasn't even late. But anyway the problem is with the upbringing and kind of role model country provides,
There is a reason we have and follow legends like Sachin and you?? Don't bother telling me.
Bro don't hate on a whole country bcoz of shakib
Srilanka team mankaded in 2014 against England when this gentleman matthhews was captain
Blame the icc rules instead
@pankajlodhi9649 it seems you're trying to say, shakib gave that out not the umpires. why the heck icc even made this rule and umpire gave out? while creating this rule icc didn't check its going against the spirit or cricket? ridiculous.

@@sajidulislamskilled couple of points? 1. Mathews took his guard on time there is no denying in that 2. Umpires asked Shakib two times "are you serious, you want to go ahead with this decision" 3. Shakib is a habitual offender everyone knows. you know it. Now it depends if kids in Bangladesh want to Idolize "Shakib" and be like him (winning the game however it comes) or be like legends of the game (Graeme smith, Sachin,) there is a reason why everyone is criticizing it and you in your defense trying to find reasons how to justify this unjust cause. But tell me if you ever have a kid who represents your nation do you want it to be like Shakib or Sachin?? Answer me honestly??
Shameless honestly from such a big player like shakib😢
Spirit of the game is nothing for Moin khan was the same in his old days…. He is big brother of that Sakib 😂😂
Shakib ke pov vo sahi kiya bcoz Bangladesh has to qualify for Championship Trophy also 🤔
You Pakistanis are always with us whatever happens. ❤ From sri lanka !!! I played school cricket since 1992 wnen Pakistan won the world cup. These guys seems never played school cricket to lean how to play this game.
Mankader team Rendia is judging what is fair or what is unfair!!
Rightly said Moin bhai..it was do or die match for champions
trophy qualification and one important thing mathews did mankanding in 2012 with jos butler, then where was the spirit
of the cricket?
after 3 warnings
Yes
Do you think , there is conspiracy behind his death , plane crash ,people, say ,it's because of him ,entire ,match fixing scandal got exposed to cricketing world ?
Yes.He was a great hero and a real gentleman. I am worried about his death as a sri lankan cricket fan who has watched him playing
why the videos you show doesnt show in your this vidoes
I liked the response of Moin Khan. Rules are rules and people should not complain if a captain follows a rule. People should also not complain in the future about Mankad or Run outs by Wicket keeper etc
Won the game but lost his name forever !
My thought is "why is it expected from bowling team to play in sprit of the game"
Dont do mankad bcoz isnt not in sprit of game
Dont ask for time out bcoz its not in sprit of game
But batsman never play in sprit of game...very few batsman walk when they feel they edge ball and were caught, most of them stand and watch
Its in rule for a reason
This show is pure class.very good .better than any indian show.keep it up
The decision was made by the umpire, not Sakib. So it's a very childish matter to blame Sakib. If there is any rule which is going for us why not we apply it? So simple. After all, it was a very important match for Bangladesh.
Bangladesh ki baccho wali harkat ki wajh se aaz tak ye team kuch ukhaad ni payi.. let's learn something from Afghanistan..itne Kam time is team me itni badi achivement hasil kr li hi ..aur unka behaviour bhi sahi hi..
