I am so glad you decided to document this process and make it a series. I enjoy your process, and learning from you. Thanks!
I have a 5x10' CNC Plasma table and would be happy to help with prototyping needs.
super interesting!
Please keep this one coming. Vertical gardening is definitely the future.
I would be interested to try this myself and maybe even buy some plans.
I Just hung gutters on the flat surface section of the Greenhouse walls on the inside and outside walls and i made irrigation riser piping to supply nutrient water to drip tape in each tray and i slightly angled each long run of gutters to drain into a recovery tank to filter, recharge and send back out. Everything is out of my way for using 100% of the floor space.
I like to make things overly complicated. ;-)
@@Bigelowbrook I Have to look at the bottom line. Always.

You got a bit of wild E coyote in you, we can all relate and one of the reasons we watch your channel.
@@Bigelowbrook Ahhh, a true engineer ;)
I plan on doing (aquaponic) strawberries and lettuce in the future. Your work is very interesting to me. Hope your project is a huge success!
I always enjoy seeing your R and D videos. Looks like it is going to be similar to a vertical storage carousel.
Thank you
Keep them coming
SUBBED; Love the practical need rendered in CAD to proto, 3D test, net results !
I enjoyed your last attempt. Hope this one comes out better but either way I'll enjoy watching.
Water dispenser that uses something like a chicken waterer, the ones where when they peck it the water dispensers and when they don't no water flows, it would allow to have the water dispense only when the trays are touching the dispenser
Absolutely awesome idea as always! Great to be able to follow the design process. Looking forward to see more
Missed this one on Patreon. 🤔
Looking forward to seeing how the build goes through your "warmer" season.
Hey, do you have chooks? Would love to see them on a video if you do. 😉🤨
No chickens, but my daughter has a bunch. Maybe I'll film some of them!
I used to have a couple ever bearing strawberries that even gave berries in the snow.
This looks way more sensible than the previous design.
Love your design videos
No return to the strawberry towers 😞, I always wondered if you could take hanging strawberry towers 🍓 put them in the freezer for a couple of weeks and pull them out to fool the strawberry in to thinking it's a new growing season, to increase yearly yield.
Sounds great i would like one of those setups
Very interesting 👍
So awesome to follow you so much work so many ideas❤
Very innovative as always. Is there a way you can simulate a year long harvest season for strawberries on a indoor system?
3d print an internal end cap to make the gutter sit nicely? Or integrate the end cap into the hangar end? Complexity++;
Maybe a Stainless Split Bolt Line Tap bolt could simplify the cable connection a bit.
Thanks for the tip. I've never seen one of those before. They're a bit pricey so it's actually cheaper to go with my custom made solution.
Really cool! +1 Sub.
Also enjoyed the video inspired by the eBay dry cleaning find...
How do you ensure both wheel rotate equally? If one side of the trays are a little heavier, will it rotate faster or out of sync with the other wheel?
The bottom wheels will be connected with an axel to keep the synchronized. I haven't drawn that into the plan yet. ;-)
how did you get the sheet metal forming animation? how did you learn CAD?
I've been doing cad work for 30+ years. The sheet metal forming is just a tool I found online.
There may be a synchronization problem from left to right.
The two sides will be connected with an axle on the bottom set of wheels
what programs did you use to model this?
Autodesk Inventor Pro
cant wait to see this loaded full of berries for ya

Hi dude
Boop
You should take a cue from your grandfather's system, keep it simple. You spend way too much time designing and over complicating something simple. I do enjoy your channel.
I like to push the boundaries. I bet 50+ years ago people told my grandfather to keep it simple and just put the plants on a table. ;-)
