After months and months of planning, I finally launched my own etsy shop!! For now I'm selling stickers, art prints, and greeting card sets! I hope to expand in the near future and sell clay and enamel pins as well :) There were a lot of things to prepare for, but the most rewarding part is being able to share my art with you all! Sticker shop owner here too!! A couple tips, extend the sheet margins so you can fit two of the sticker sheets on one page, so you don’t waste so much paper. You can also cut out the sticker sheet with the silhouette machine! It’s a lot easier than using a paper cutter, and lastly, when peeling off the sticker paper off the mat, turn the mat over so that the sticker sheet is facing down, bend the mat lightly as you peel off the sticker sheet, this way is much easier and the sheets won’t curl up 🙂

You don't need to use a mat at all when you work with sticker paper, actually.
@@JustSitAndLaugh depends on what silhouette machine you have. I have all original portraits so I use a mat, I know with the newer models you don’t need a mat.
I prefer the type of paper cutter she's using there, i have one, and i have a Cameo 4 with the built in cutter but it's too awkward leaning behind it to cut things. The one here is very easy to use and quicker imo

Fun to watch! Rotate your sticker page and tighten up the spacing and you’ll get 2 out of each sticker sheet; cuts your materials cost and waste down!

Love your style!! You can also draw a box around your sticker sheets in Silhouette studio and have a cut setting 1 higher, and let the portrait cut your sheets for you and then you won’t need the paper cutter. Can’t wait to see what all you come up with!!

Congratulations on opening your etsy shop!! I love this vlog it's so relaxing! ❤️ just a tip so that stickers won't curl, peel off the mat away from the sticker instead of the sticker away from the mat so it won't curl you can lay it down flat. ❤️

I'm sure you've been told this by other comments, but if you take a plain white t-shirt or any Cotton fabric, you can dab it onto your cutting mat to help soften the stickiness. Doesn't damage your mat, and makes it easier to remove your cut images. Also, in case you didn't know, some warm soapy water on your mat will help to clean it when it starts to lose stickiness after uses, and brushing a little Aleens Tack-it-Over-and-Over will restore that stickiness. ☺️

little tip for when you're removing the sticker sheet from the cutting mat is to roll the mat away from the sheet instead of the other way around. this way you won't have to struggle with curled paper.

Just found your channel & subscribed. Little tip, if you put a box around your design, the machine will cut it out for you. Just use a different line color for the box so you have a 2nd setting for the cut out. Also if you turn the sticker sheet sideways, you can get 2 per page, just adjust the registration marks. Hope this helps.

Loved this vlog🧡! Congrats on opening your shop and already having sells. I'm also dreaming of opening one. I got a Portrait 3 for my birthday and love it so much too. An advise to avoid your sticker sheet to curl. Put the sticker sheet + mat facing down your table and remove the silhouette mat holding your sheet instead of removing the sheet of the mat. Maybe you've figured this out already since. Let me now 🤗

Hey, I'm not discouraging or anything but i think you could have used one sticker sheet to make two small ones also you could have folded the tray on which you kept your sheet rather than folding your sticker sheet. I just wanted to suggest.

Dehmel Trixi hi!! I had to do a lot of trial and error with my printer, but if you are doing digital artwork, definitely have the color settings in the program as CMYK, and this will produce the closest color printing, let me know if this works! ☺️
Can you please tell me if I can use the autoblade of cameo 4 for the Silhouette portrait 3 machine?
Do you have any tips on drawing so that your lines comes out really crisp and not wobbly?
Hi Kate!! I currently use Procreate, and you can adjust the brush settings by clicking on it. If you set the streamline higher, it will help you get crisper lines 😊

Hi!! I use the Canon pixma pro, and it is an inkjet printer. I would recommend inkjet for photo printing, and I print on 110 lb card stock paper!!
I am also a Small Loacal business owner, I make Planner Accessories, Sell Happy Planners & all the Accessories/Planner related stuff! I have been wanting to open an Etsy Shop but I do not have a printer for thr mailing stuff! No computer or tablet only my phone, also not sure how Etsy Works on the percentage they take in total? Any help 🙏 would be greatly appreciated 🙏 🙂

How do you have a white procreate??? I have a black one, like the background is black and all the buttons i cant find a setting to vhange it to white lol😅
If you go within the wrench icon on a project, open the preferences menu and within there you'll find "light interface" option at the top. I hope this helps!!

I currently am using an older version of the canon pixma pro printer, but the newest version on canon's website is $500!! 😊
I really want to make my own Etsy shop but I'm curious as to whether I have to print the shipping labels or I can just write the shipping information on the envelope
You can do both!! Printing labels allows you to give customers tracking, but it is a bit pricier than using stamps 😊

Hello! Your shop is so cute. I also run an Etsy sticker shop but I’m struggling to lower my shipping rates since I am not familiar with shipping letters. I just like to ask what type of stamp you use and I read there’s an Etsy letter option from Pitney Bowes too for .50c. I am just contemplating whether I should have a free shipping option or a less costly one. It might also help with my sales. I currently use rigid mailers and I charge under $3 for shipping. Sorry for the inconvenience.
Hi!! Thanks so much ☺️ Im also in a learning process with shipping and looking into etsy shipping, as their rates are 30% cheaper than USPS. For now, I am weighing each of my letter packages by ounces, and adjusting number of stamps based on the weight. I got the stamps from amazon, and made sure they are forever stamps as those are priority shipping. I hope this helps!! Goodluck on your shop ❤️

Alexis i actually did it all through the silhouette portrait programming, my next vlog is a tutorial on how to put offset borders on stickers!! ☺️

It's called the silhouette portrait 2, it's $169 but it's really great!!
What are the names of the printers that you have and what is their benefit?
I have the canon pixma pro, and this is an older version so it does make a lot of noise. I do think that the colors in this printer come out so nice, and definitely would recommend a newer version!!
