Back at Idlewild about 5 years ago (Paul was still with Innova), I was walking across the vendor area and Barsby comes out of the throwing net and we both kinda stop and stand next to each other as the next card is teeing off. He leans over and says “someone needs to call the Innova office and tell them Paul’s warming up on these Prodigy baskets” lol
Barsby is alot like Matty-O. They both have been able to compete at the highest levels for a long time now but just haven't won as much as you would have thought they would. Although the big separator obviously is that Barsby has the World's win. I guess it just shows how much talent there is in the disc golf world. Super competitive.
Such a cool dude in person too, met him at delaveaga disc course when I first started playing and he let me play through the hole with him. Gave me a few tips on my backhand upshot’s. Didn’t even know who he was at the time until a friend pointed it out after haha
One day I walked out of the local shop, The Nati, At Mt. Airy forest. It was the year after Gregg won worlds, I could not believe it but we came face to face. I introduced myself to Gregg trying to not fanboy out lol Gregg was so kind and real, took the time to speak with me and chat. Such a cool dude and a real one. Favorite disc golf pro hands down.
Look up king of the lake playoff 2010. Gregg chained out on a 400ish playoff hole on film. I was there but didn’t see it. I was in the parking lot haha
I watch all your vids but don't always comment. Keep up the great work! Progress is slow, but your channel will grow very large over the next few years!
Barsby is such a legend. His style is probably one of the most entertaining to watch where whenever he's 200 ft out you gotta think "that's a birdie chance".
My friends actually call me Luke Barsby because I've had so many sick throw ins from 90'-175' even 250' out. He's definitely one of my favorite pros to watch. And I saw him at BRP in Minnesota earlier this year on a practice round just a few holes behind us. He also won that tournament that weekend.
One of the Biggest things I think you failed to mention is Greg Barbie is also a fantastic human being, who is very respectful to spotters and those helping out with tournaments a very humble person. A lot of touring professionals, unfortunately are not like that.
th-cam.com/video/wSzT5MIXUYg/w-d-xo.html Ledgestone 2020. Round 2, 12th hole, 3rd shot. One of his craftiest on-film rollers. Topper: it's the second of two exceptional scramble shots in a row.

Imagine Big O wins worlds this year.
My favorite to watch and root for. He always appears to be having a blast and has remained one of the most entertaining people on tour.

Absolutely my favouritest player, an absolute legend.
Hell yeah, awesome video! Thank you for putting it together. Barsby is easily one of my favorite players.
Meeting barsby was one of the best moments of my life, he literally just talked to me like I was his good friend. Such a fun and awesome person💪
My favourite player by far, no one I'd rather play a round with. And he's a metal drummer too which is rad.
Gregg is an absolute legend and my favorite player of all time!!!
Gotta love him, Philo is another one. Class act legends

His throw ins from 200ft and closer are stuff of legends. He’ll probably be a HOFer in the future.
Met him once and he was such an awesome dude

Really like his playing style!
Is that....Thomas Gilbert at 3:02? All the way back in 2017? Still showing up in every single disc golf video on the internet somehow?
I'm just happy to see him wearing a Fallujah shirt
My hero ❤️ 🥏GB👍🏼🌞🇩🇰
this dude with those pit vipers looks silly
The People's Champ
He could have thrown OB left and still won, but he made sure he didn't Dickerson it.

In a sport populated by mostly quiet boring dudes you need a Gregg Barsby or a Matty O or an Ohn Scoggins to make it somewhat entertaining.
