Honestly I strongly dislike how people will go out ahead of her but yet second place was 40 seconds off of her. If you were ahead of her at any point in this race then you are most likely not pacing well or starting well.
Lol I can tell your not a track athlete because you obviously don’t understand that she WILL beat you unless you go out ahead of her and make her work for it
Sorry ,but you, obviously do not understand the thought process such goes into of any athlete being more strategic then someone else -- even that of an athlete whom, may appear to be at the top of their game . Anyone & everyone can be very well beaten -- one must just want to do that badly enough . Determination, devotion, and the dedication with the deep inner burning desire aka " fire " is all in which ine truly is in need if in order to complete such a defeat .

Lots of competition for that title. Jim Ryun, Skeets, Michael Carter, and just recently, Mondo. Several on the girls' side have made Olympic teams in high school. Swimmers who mature early have set world records. It's an interesting debate, so hard to compare across different sports and different eras.

Noticed in all her races. Shes not really tired after the race. Shes not giving it her all. As a distance runner myself......I could not stand upon the finish of any race I ran. Took at least 5 min. before I could talk. I was totally exhausted after my races. She needs to learn to put it all out there !
@@IRex-wm9pd Well i didn't say for whom. Guessing she'll want to compete for the US since she's already in the heart of Nike's marketing nexus at U of O. ENdorsements tend to be higher as a US citizen for some reason and her window is like 5 years maybe 7 max. (i'm former in-house Nike marketing)
Amazing runner, hope she has a bright future. Having said that, I think it's ridiculous that high school runs the 1600 meters and 3200 meters. When I was in high school many years ago we ran the mile and 2 mile runs. Then, they decided to go metric because the rest of the world ran metric distances such as the 1500 meters, 3000 and 5000 meters. That made sense- the 1500 and 5000 are Olympic events. But why on earth would you go metric to be like the rest of the world and then run 1600 meters and 3200 meters- distances no one else in the world runs?! I fail to see the reasoning behind that. Now we still run distances no one else in the world runs, they're just metric. At least the rest of the world still runs the mile occasionally.

@@natalietorres9206 😂 we are gonna do it girl 💪
Watched her high school career and just blown away. Awesome job
Fabulous run, Katelyn has two speeds, fast and faster, is it any wonder she doesn’t need anyone to set a pace, she in a league of her own at this stage of her career….🙂
What maturity and mental toughness not to mention so strong for a girl and young girl
she has top endurance for long distances..only thing can stop her from breaking
collage records ..is her natural foot speed...ex..quarter mile time
Right now it's best to jog even and steady ,,due to nucluer war out in the Pacific ,,I jogged 5-10light pole miles today in 30*25,,
I love watching her running
Absolutely Amazing
For some folks, it's physically impossible to run faster than a 7 min/mile.
Sorry ,but running a 7 min mile would be slower then that of a. slug. for me .
Believe my,slowest without much competition was either 5:01 / 5:02.
when,had been competing .
@@wandabailey7870 But how long can you hold it for? 5k? 10k? marathon? If you can hold 5 min/mile for 100 miles...I would pay money to see that. even a 10 min/mile is very fast. Appreciate your talents, but don't brag about 7 min/mile being a slug pace. Speed isn't always everything.
Downhill with a 30 MPH tailwind and a grizzly chasing me, maybe...
E' bellissimo vederla correre, la seguo ormai da diversi anni è strepitosa. aspetto di vedere cosa farà fra i professionisti, a livello high school è stata imbattibile, ed è anche molto carina
You doing a great job keep it up 👍
thanks for not giving the game away in the title. That was brilliant.
2 miles would be an extra 18m which i guess would take 2 ½ - 3 secs extra
Allready 4th in the world! The girl is a phenomena!
What I wouldn't give to go back and be a young distance runner again for just one day....:(
Two years ago! Knock off the click bait.
that’s how they roll
Wow! Crazy fast time!!
Maybe I should stop going to Mcdonalds..n...slow down on the fries..n sodas...n choc chip cookies.
In her, we've gotten the opportunity to witness the greatest high school athlete of all time, boys or girls, in any sport.
Lots of competition for that title. Jim Ryun, Skeets, Michael Carter, and just recently, Mondo. Several on the girls' side have made Olympic teams in high school. Swimmers who mature early have set world records. It's an interesting debate, so hard to compare across different sports and different eras.
The girl in second place ran really fast too! Too bad she was running against the GOAT🐐 ! It’s a joy to watch katelyn run :)
Wow! What a runner.
Tear up watching her run
Incredible
I realize these announcers are amateurs, but while they were saying this was going to be a competitive race, Katelin was leading the closest contender by 20 meters after only 300.
Noticed in all her races. Shes not really tired after the race. Shes not giving it her all. As a distance runner myself......I could not stand upon the finish of any race I ran. Took at least 5 min. before I could talk. I was totally exhausted after my races. She needs to learn to put it all out there !
wow....she is a running machine! amazing.
Note that Kelsey is Katelyn's teammate at NC State. Go Wolfpack!
Look for Tuohy and Jessica Hull on the next women's olympic team for track and field
Would be a neat trick since they are from different countries.
@NOTREALLY HANKAARON she won the 5000m NCAA championship this year as a sophomore
I run a 1040 softmore male. I would die to run a sub 950
@The Spammons ok dick
Hang in there, it can happen...
2 and a half minutes in and she has nearly a 50 meter lead..
Katelyn Tuohy es mi idolo tiene un futuro impresionante, ojala en los juegos olimpicos sea la mejor Dios la bendiga y adelante Katelyn te adoro

Katelyn is amazing.
Будущая олимпийская чемпионка! Уверен побьёт все рекорды!😉
I could only keep up about halfway thats very impressive
I am such a fan.
Great job
Katelyn - - if you read these comments: We really want to see you wearing at least one Olympic gold medal !
where's phenon mary cain from 3-4 years back? that's a point of concern here.
Good question, but unlike Mary, Katelyn won't be training under Salazar
Cain at 16 years old would have won this race by 100 yards.
Like it states this happened in 2018. NOT TWO WEEKS AGO!
What was the "2 mile conversion" thing they were talking about?
Machine.
