I think it's called "The River of Wellbeing/ The River of Integration" by Dr. Daniel Siegel. It's for adults but has been adapted for use with kids' mental wellbeing too. Let's get to the hot potato Coach. Pound for pound, are MMA fighters the best fighters on the planet? Has it been proved?

Any style that has full contact sparring with a healthy dose of conditioning is good. MMA makes you well rounded from the ground up, so if you're weak in one area, you've got other areas to fall back on

Watched a video of Jon warhammer summat who was in the ufc but like bottom of the barrel ufc fighter.
Anyways, watched a video of him beating up a 6 foot 6 heavy beast of a doorman. He beat him like he was nothing.
Bear in mind he's a ufc fighter that no-one has even really heard of.
He was nowhere near the best and beat up that guy like he was nothing.
Just saying. Don't know if it helps your question.

Best fighter ? GSP answered this one in a masterful way: tonight, fight night, you win, you're the best tonight. In a few mouths, you face another one and lose ? He's the best at that moment, so on and so forth. GSP never allowed the concept of THE BEST to go to his head, not even giving one once of thought to it.

A lot of it is true, but there are outside factors you simply can not control. A family member you have to take care of, natural disasters, financial problems due to accidents, your country being invaded and so on. You simply aren't always allowed to live the life you want to live. I had to set my dreams aside for almost a decade because people depended on me. Recently I picked up where I left off training for a 100 mile mountain race.

What great advice Coach, some of us know but it's always a good reminder. Also love the psychologist's analogy about the river. Can I ask you what martial art would you recommend at 42 Years old? I've wanted to learn Wrestling since the dominance of Khabib era. I've been recommended to take on BJJ and have tried a class and loved it. I was thinking do BJJ for as long as I love it, then go onto Wrestling.
I've lifted weights (Compound Lifts) and still do since I was young 16ish. I used to play football for years and done boxing when I was younger but never had a fight. I'd say I'm fairly strong but definitely not conditioned for martial arts yet. The reason for me asking is a part of me feels a bit old, I've never been in or had a fight apart from school time. Think the fact that I'm 6ft 2" and fairly big no one ever tried it on me, but I want to be able to handle myself If ever I need too. On other question Coach, do you meditate?
