- In this fluid art tutorial, I'll show you how to create beautiful lacing effects using a swipe technique with yellow acrylic paint as a cell activator. You'll be amazed at the vibrant colors and unique patterns that can be achieved with this simple method. Follow along and try it out for yourself in your next fluid art project!
My paints were all mixed with 1 part paint: 2 parts American Floetrol and thinned out with about 10% distilled water.
The Fluorescent red color was created by mixing equal parts liquitex fluorescent red and decoart metallic festive red.

Arctic White
Cosmic Black
Electric Yellow
I like the movement in this, the way the white line arcs and the almost appearance of a twilight sky peaking through.
Thanks so much Jimmy! I was a little unsure of that white line at first but it’s growing on me! 😃
Turned out amazingly good. Love the colours, the cells and the lacing. And no cursing? I'm effing proud of you lol.
Haha! Thank you Paul! Yea, not sure how long the “no cursing” will last 😂
So pretty. ❤❤❤
Really spectacular❤
You are truly talented
Thank you so much! :-)
this is sooooo so beautiful!!!!!! great job with the tilting 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 with some other artists on youtube I get really upset when they tilt almost half the paint off the canvas😹😹
Thnaks so much Elisa! There have been times when I tilted too much off but not as much with this one.
I love the electric yellow swipe color. This one is so colorful
And all the different color lacing just wonderful. What a creative idea😊
Thanks so much Daisy! :-)
So striking colors and such a stunning piece. I Love it. You've inspired me again to go out of my comfort zone this time with a different color cell activator I can't wait to try it. Thank you and keep up your inspiration. 😍
Thanks so much Gail! As long as the cell activator has a higher density than the rest of the paints, it should work. :-)
@@manolimotion thank you 😀
😮😮😮❤❤❤
Love the colors - Is yellow the new orange? Shame that the black & white lines didn't hold up, but I agree with loving the unpredictability. Fluid art is "out of my comfort zone" all on its own.
p.s. I noted the lack of cussing but decided not to bring it up. Then, of course, you did. Just like fluid art - unpredictable.
LMAO! It took every fiber of my being to not drop a curse word! :-)
@@manolimotion I'm heading to my paints soon so I'm sure I'll be dropping some for both of us.
Haha! Well good….let it out! 😂
Super joli peinture 👏🎨

Hi there. Could you please tell me what makes the cells in your images so nice and big? What do you use?
Where do you find ready to pour cell activators?
What is the cell activator recipe you use
Where do you get the swiping tools you use ?
Hi Mari, you can get those tools anywhere. In this video, the first tool I used was just a spatula that is used for baking. The smaller metal tool I used was one I got at a local craft store. The main thing is to make sure the handle is angled. :-)
@manolimotion thank you. I did purchase all 3 bottles of your cell activator, waiting on delivery. For some reason I can't seem to get my own mix right. Can't wait to see if its worth it. I love your videos, keep it up ! 😊
@maristoneman5320 Thanks so much! The mixes can be tricky. Please let me know if you have any questions about it once you get it and I'm happy to help to make sure it works for you! :-) My e-mail is manolimotion@gmail.com.
