What a joke, Valve really are taking us for fools and making a load of £$£$ by doing it. Don't expect it to change unless it hits their bottom line. Why do you think they put rentable skins in the game?
If Valve continues like this, it would be easier for them to ban legit players, they will have less work..

Back in the day having 1 cheater in a game was bad. Today having at least 1 legit player in a match is a problem.

I wrote to Steam Support asking about the cheater problem, and about reporting them, this is what they wrote back...
We have also received your report and will investigate to see if anything malicious occured. Please note that there a number of things taken into consideration before taking action on an account, and while action may not be taken instantly community reports are regularly reviewed by our team.
In the future, if you are matched with suspected cheaters, your best course of action is to continue reporting them in-game.
Reporting cheaters will always be benefitial as it provides important data we can use to improve VAC.

To be honest that's not a bad idea. Maybe make the Anti-cheat in a way where all the detected cheaters will only play against other cheaters which easier to work than making banned accounts. Eventually, the cheaters will be frustrated.
How do they even enjoy playing with all those cheats.. it feels like a coping mechanism already

cheaters are the biggest income of CS2 rn (exccluding OhnePixel and Anomaly). They need to give cheaters some time before the ban to let them enjoy they cheats so make them buy new account.

That is not true, Valves business model is selling keys, cheaters don't buy keys or even skins
@@S4NSE But they do, some of them have inventories worth more than your normal legit player. Cheaters aren't scared of VAC. The detection method isn't working and valve is way behind the cheat devs.
