- A music video created for Iron Maiden's song "Passchendaele". The footage used is from the 1979 film "All Quiet on the Western Front". Created to tribute the soldiers of all nations who fought and died in World War 1.

I first saw this music video a long time ago. Just today I was listening to Iron Maiden's Paschendale again, after so many years. And I first tried an audio only video, but then I realized that I can't listen to this song without this music video ;) Very well made, whoever did this one. Not just random clips.
Thank you for your comment. I originally had this video on my other channel but I then decided to create this channel just for content that I don't own. I edited these Iron Maiden music videos on this channel when I lost my job and my girlfriend left me so I was trying to keep busy. I guess it is easy to rip these videos off TH-cam and re-upload. I'm working on another Iron Maiden music video since the videos are now getting some views.

i read (and own) the book "All Quiet on the Western Front" and watched (if i recall correctly) both versions. looking forward to the Netflix German-made version that will come out in the next few years.
I agree with you Wars terrible but the waste during the Egyptian campaign was disgusting the generals just keep sending the lads in my grandfather Reginald T Woodcock was there and died in November 1917 important to keep their memories alive thank you for your tender words.

This Video is better than the whole film was. Don't get me wrong... "All Quiet On Western Front" is a great book. But this 70-ies movie sucks. The movie from 1930 by Carl Lemmle is still the best.
From the remake of the film All Quiet on the Western Front. A great novel and worth a read.

@@Ks-zv6js I agree because the younger generations today won't watch older films like this now and the message of this story is highly important. No doubt a modern re-make would be full of fake CGI and it would have a shoehorned in romance.
My grandpa fought in WWI. But first he fought in Mexico in 1916 chasing Pancho Villa. He was wounded 2x in WWI but went AWOL like 4 times. Paris?

@@faven5916 Both version are great but the re-make is longer and has the horrific scene with the horses screaming.
This is not paschendaele -1917- This is 1914 battle scene. Germans changed helmet in 1915.. no more pointy thing

The reason why they didn't go for cover cause alot of the time british officers and other types of officers would punish you, and there were tons of barbed wire that littered No man's land.
