I love your color choices for the succulents! I might not use colored pencils too often but I too take a long time to color my pictures! Hope everyone in the comments is staying safe!
Hi Erin, you were one of the first channels I started out watching when I started coloring. Its funny, I use to play WOW for many years. I don't play any more. My son got me playing pokemon go these last couple of months.
It's take a lot of practice to shade. Thank you are your tutorial in this video. I think it is all this you hear time and time again it's just something I really need to practice to get the hang of it.
Really pretty! I’m such a slow colorist when I use pencils you are much faster than me lol! Idk how people bang out so many pictures in a week or so, maybe one day but if I’m happy with the end result then I don’t really care how long it take! Take care Erin!
I started coloring a page with you as your video started and I finished right when you said buy. So I think I color really fast. I like hanging out with you.
Hi Erin.... I know you were in a hurry to go at the end of the video, but you mentioned how you keep track of all of the WIPs you are doing. I am trying to come up with a plan with what will work best for me and before I spend $17 on sheets from a seller at Etsy, I am looking at all my options. So if you don’t mind can you do a short video of that. Thanks!
I love coloring with my colored pencils and spending time layering and shading and making look as good as I can. Usually. Right now, I was finding it very tedious and I just wasn’t happy with the results. So I’ve taken a break from that and I’ve been coloring in fairies in dreamland with my bic mark it’s and crayola pipsqueaks markers and gel pens and I am having a blast.
Hey we both use the same off-brand no-name eraser! I talked about in my last video how probably no one has it, but guess I was wrong haha. I couldn't get my hands on a Derwent one so finally snagged that one and loved it. Excited to try my Castle Art's - just got them today.
@@SimpleArtforAdults Yes the Afmat. I could never find the Derwent in stock, or they wanted a ton in shipping. So, I bought it and love it because it is USB for charging! The number of replacement erasers it came with was insane too.
Your succulents are pretty, yeah....catch twenty two....I have three Creative Haven books...paper is slightly better than createspace.....but.... I really love using my #65 card stock for PDF’s...only have ran into a defective piece a couple of times. Paper in coloring books - it’s hard to find good paper, it’s out there....just finding it with the subject matter one likes, is hard...I guess that’s why I love PDF’s.
I learned not to use a reddish purple on the tips as should have stuck with a lighter violet, then for inside shading a darker purple but not too bad and succulents are my very favorite and hard to find tutorials and yes, the paper is not good 😪!!
It's flammable, and even though it doesn't have much of a smell, there are still fumes that can be bothersome for some people. I get it, but I feel like for those people who aren't bothered by it, and for those of us responsible enough to take care of our things and put things away properly, it's fine. I loooooove this method and I just found a NEW ONE I'm gonna share soon.
These videos make me feel less lonely, like I have friends in the room ! Love your videos.
love the tip to use gamsol in a copic marker! gonna do that for sure
The picture looked great even in the beginning to me. Shadow just takes time to build.
Thanks! And yes it does. I'm still learning how to do it and which method I like best.

When she says "we're still in the ugly phase, it will be ok" and the picture already looks way better than anything I've ever done 🤣
Oh pfft. I highly doubt that!
Hi Erin, your page is looking good hun!

You are an excellent teacher...thank you:)

I get joy from eating food. Especially donuts :)
You comment this as I eat a giant fried chicken breast and a salad the size of Rhode Island.
And I WILL be having cheesecake for dessert. 🤣
@@SimpleArtforAdults For the next 24 hours you won't be blown away at least!

Already coloring in a second page in there :P No rush on yours, you have busy days!
I've heard them say kitchen paper as well. I like kitchen paper.
Your shadows look great. I really like how this looks
You know the shading is right when it looks like your reaching behind a leaf to shade it. It really takes on a life of its own
That was a great idea with putting the oms in the copic marker..your succulents are looking great..
Thanks!
I use a water brush full of oms. Works great an I can Chang tips
I tried that with a couple different ones and WAY too much came out for me, so I switched to the Copic. Crazy how we all have our own preferences!
Simple Art for Adults I has no problem with that but I used a Derwent brand you really have to squeeze to grit any out

Ah yes! I totally forgot! Yep, the next video that goes up (tomorrow, I hope), I'll show you my little journal.

Yep! Sometimes we just gotta switch it up! I've been trying all kinds of media lately too!

The Ohuhu or the Afmat one? That Afmat one that is rechargable is so fantastic. I loooove it. And now I'm going to go watch your videos lol.

I refill my markers/dobbers with mineral spirits, they last for a couple of years.
I've heard of people doing this, too. Or adding alcohol and glycerin to get more out of their markers once they've gone dry.
@@SimpleArtforAdults I remove the wedge end and fill them with an eye dropper, usually with Isopropyl (rubbing alcohol).
I like your coloring and the way you explain things could you do a tutorial on how you color skin especially faces 😂
I'm not confident in my face coloring skills, but I'll practice a bit and then I'll do it. :)
And thank you!

I have this book and you’re right, the paper is weird. It’s too soft or something
I don’t get it...why would it be dangerous? I think that is a great idea!
