I would love to take this game on but it will be a huge project, funding will be a huge issue bc you will need all custom assets and the map is huge. This game unfortunately just does not have that many fans anymore that would want it so i don't think we will make back the amount we spend on making the game, we would really have to focus on getting new people exited about the game so that will be trailers and all that which will be a big gamble. Then you cant forget Ubisoft wanting their shitty cut bc its all their stuff, but most likely i just see them turning down whoever is asking permission to remake the game bc they are scummy people. I just don't see this project working out but if Ubisoft itself or a big company took this game on they could def pull it off, don't see them doing it tho. Will have to hope other indie devs takes it on that has a bigger team and budget then us, this game will just be way too expensive to make and wont make as much back so i don't see anyone doing it, best we will probably get is someone just making mods updating the lighting and textures but who knows maybe we will get lucky :D
this is very ground breaking thing for DPL and one of the best thing that could happen. the fact that film director isn't present there was always every big shame for me but free cam can fill this hole and we can now creat at least decede clips like in previous games and also my new machinima/clip but in full hd is now in work

It did kinda go viral in Dec 2021 when RandomGamingInHD made a video titled "Here's why you should spend £2.14 on this underrated PC game." which got 537k views. It got more exposure to the game and a handful of people began buying the game.
This is amazing, It's awesome how they can discover what the hexadecimals value in the value mean and how to modify them making a cheat menu for the game! 👌

Buddy I need help. There's an Easter egg in this game I found when this game first came out and I've never been able to activate it again, or see it on TH-cam. All I remember doing was driving a sports car in the 70s era at max speed into a wall, and my car glitched through the map. But... A cutscene started to play, of this big orange glowing eye, or a portal of some sort. Like... It had no reason to be there. It looked like a window to hell. Do you know what I'm talking about? I wish I was lying, but I'm 29 now and it has been driving me crazy since the game came out.

in my opinion this game would be the best for a great remake. With lot of potential.
Story wise yes, but I would only keep the 2 era idea and start from scratch. I still prefer the ambitions of DRIV3R

Ermaccer did experiment with a cockpit view (or let's say first person view in-car) but I don't know if he will release an update for the DPL Hook
