  • Welsh hymns don’t come much better than Arwel Hughes’ ‘Tydi a Roddaist’ (Thou, who gavest).
    It was composed by Hughes on the platform of Shrewsbury railway station in 1938 and it concludes with one of the best ‘Amens’ in the Welsh male choir hymn repertoire.
    Conducted by Treorchy’s Musical Director, Stewart Roberts and accompanied by Ryan Wood on piano and Clive Phillips on the organ.
