I was going to build mono quantum team (I don't have sparkle) but they straight up powercreep seele & sw, with so much HP inflation, OMG even aventurine just straight up better sustain than fuxuan... this power creep kinda disappointing ngl remind me of HI3rd
@@estebanmn6620unfortunately, Seele's Eidolons are actual garbage, the only decent investment in Mono Quantum is probably an E2S1 Sparkle, even then, Seele's Multipliers just can't keep up with the HP Inflation, it's quite unfortunate honestly
who tf thought that was gonna work???? mono-quantum wouldve been a payoff if another quantum dps actually came out, seele was never gonna cut it. (plus, seele never actually worked well with mono-quantum because she was too reliant on bronya anyways)
I think the Erudition characters are the only ones unaffected by power creep. When looking at the enemies in the MoC, they all have high HP, making it impossible for older DPS characters to finish them before the cycle ends. Herta and Himeko, who were previously considered bad, have gained value thanks to PF, and even other Erudition characters benefit from this.
Also, The Herta likely will want them on her team. Erudition will be one of the 3 paths in Amphoreus, Soo.... Lingsha might be summon but not the way the 3.x summons will work (based on the Livestream). So I have my doubts but okay, she is a good sub DPS and abundance so... Maybe (although I feel like the abundance role will be sometimes bypassed with a healer summon).
Yeah it's quite funny how the vast majority of buffs that enemies apply that you'd want to dispel are unremovable, leaving you with either nothing at all or only negligible debuffs to remove.
@Galahad-n4d Speaking of HuoHuo, after Robin was released and I noticed their synergy, I realized that she would eventually have her own team. I remember having debates with Gallaher mains, trying to prove that HuoHuo would get another team with Robin even before Yunli’s team was released, as well as one more team in 3.0. Only after that will her lifecycle truly come to an end.
Kinda surprrised for the lack of a ruan mei there. She can play into basically any team archetype in the game, and is always at worst in the top 5 of the best characters for said team. Break basically doesn't exist without Ruan Mei, simply because of her weakness break efficiency, but also ultimate that delays the enemies from recovering, and grants res pen. On top of that she also gives speed unconditionally. I think Ruan Mei will probably not be best in slot in many teams for the coming meta, but she will remain a very versatile support, and practically a must for any break team.
well he said he is considering her Fudge and Lingsha. so he selected the least viable one and farms comments. Imo Fudge will be most valuable unit cos its possible we will get a break niche support in the next half year.
Nah, she's not that mandatory for break/superbreak anymore...for Rappa, HMC+Fugue is generally better, and for Firefly, Ruan Mei+Fugue is practically the same as Fugue+HMC...only Ruan Mei is superior with BH. Also, RM is better in Firefly's team if the enemy has a toughness of 200+... To put it in perspective, before having or not having Ruan Mei was a 50% loss of damage xd
@@quansz i think alot of people are still on the assumption break will be good. Lingsha is the most viable as she isnt solely tied to break and summon. While rest are tied to break and If i learned anything of dot it will be abandoned. Fugue was made so you can use RMC and not stuck with HMC
There's no character resistant to powercreep there are just a few that have more resilience against it... not a single dps is future proof and will never be
@@ancalyme Sparkle atleast had the benefit of being able to played alongside Robin for hypercarries, and Bronya couldn't work there usually due to skill point issues but now Sunday took even that from her.
As both a teambuilder AND casual, there are three major things that I've noticed that all characters in HSR rely on. SPEED ENERGY MECHANICS and DAMAGE AMPS SPEED is what made Ruan Mei withstand the test of time. To this day, she's the most consistent unit to provide a flat 10 SPD on your team, BY JUST EXISTING. Asta does this too, but it's locked behind her Ultimate. ENERGY MECHANICS are what made units like Feixiao and Acheron so fresh to play. They are what make Huohuo, Tingyun, and Sunday so flexible. They are what made Argenti and Yunli so appealing on their respective releases. DAMAGE AMPLIFICATION (DMG AMP for short) is what 2.X and future versions try to diversify. In 1.X, we received DMG AMPs in pure hypercarry comps. In 2.X and further, we received DMG AMPs in multipurpose sustains and establishing comps like FuA, Break, and the upcoming Summon gimmick. Units that cover all 3 of these things will be hard to powercreep no matter what.
Everything is correct, but I would also add the mechanic of 100% Advance Forward. This mechanic ensured Seele’s long-lasting viability and will allow Bronya to continue being used, for example, in teams playing for 0 cycles.
@@17mikeTorenoI think "AV manipulation" is what ur looking for. Speed buff is one of them. And then 100% AA. Lastly 100-200% AV delay for enemies (which still doesn't exist yet in current roaster)
@@Salientspeaker56 Yes but you're unlikely to be getting much more than 12-13 spd. from Ruan mei since not many people have 170 spd or 160 spd so rounding it down to 10
Personally, I think the characters whose meta is already established will most likely be resistant to Powercreep in their respective niche, take for example Fugue or Ruan Mei, while Break could (and probably will) become a less relevant Niche, whenever u think about Break, u will think about those units and there is really no incentive (by Hoyoverse) to powercreep them unless they intend to make Break relevant again by adding new units that belong to that niche. On the other hand, characters who are in niches that arent well established are more likely to be powercreept in their niche when those niches do become relevant, take for example Kafka in DOT or Jade in HP Decay, while those niches currently arent in good state, when it becomes relevant in the future, they (Hoyoverse) will most likely launch characters that do simillar to those respective characters (a new DOT enabler or a new character that can mark and decrease the health of a specific ally), but better than what we currently have. Another example is JY with the Summon meta, while it's cool that JY is relevant again, he most likely will be powercreept by any new Remembrance Main DPS that comes out, and end up being a (somewhat) irrelevant character again .
Truthfully, I thought that this game was going to go down the meta route of Genshin, but unfortunately, the power creep has been pretty strong and really disappointing considering how much more expensive characters are in relation to other gacha games. I hope they slow down, because at this rate rerun characters are just not worth getting.
"the only character that needs a lot of sp is imbibitor lunae" my man forgot the OG gambler, qingque. if dan heng IL drinks sp, qingque *guzzles* it, especially if you don't have eidolons. that aside, i do mostly agree with this, but i'm not sure how i feel about ruan mei not being put in the list at all. she's a very versatile support who can easily slot into any team, which in a way would make her resistant to powercreep. though i do understand why she would not be the top support pick, since we're shifting away from break meta to summon.
So much for Kafka's supposed immunity to powercreep. Atp i wouldn't be surprised if the start of DOT meta is with the release of a straight up better Kafka😭
@@HazZzel- they made fugue because hmc is a 4 star and this is their last chance to make real money off the mechanic before it gets replaced in the new metas of 3.x

Congratulations on the sponsorship, EOD!!! Now, about video. I agree that they show some hints on what we should prepare, similar to break team where most is not all break units are weak to fire imaginary and physical (rappa firefly and boithill soecific elements) i think here we can also see this shift with ice quantum and imaginary. I also thing Aglaea will not be as relevant as people expect and hee powercreap will be at the courner and the only long run relevant character will be the herta but we will se
I've been following you since 1.0. It's crazy how JY carried me since then. My boy Blade fell off, but JY with constant game powercreep stood tall thanks to indirect buffs.
I just started mid this year and got Acheron E0+Jingliu E0, Robin E0S1, lost 50/50 on FuZuan, missed 50/50 on Firefly, got Yunli E0S1 missed on HuoHuo (realized I shouldn't pull for everything and focus on characters I really need), and got Lingsha E1S1+RobinE1, I was just pulling characters and wasn't even watching youtube vids. I think I got lucky in terms of which characters I got as I had near 0 information on what was good or not. Next patch I want to be informed and plan ahead. I have over 300 pulls saved, originally for FF rerun and Fugue, but now saving even more for 3.x. These videos are great help for the future.
If you have blade then hp support is coming in version 3 if you want to play remembrance meta pull sunday now as he will synergyse with 4 other units that will come in version 3 if you are willing to risk sunday and pull for firefly you can do that but make sure get at least sunday in minimum pulls because he will irreplaceable untill the end of 3.x
I think you are right about putting Lingsha at 7, hell she might even swap with HuoHuo in my opinion given her sheer versatility and use cases. You can play her in follow up, she will soon be arguably the best sustain option for one of the 3.0 DPSes, she is bis sustain unit in break, she plays amazingly in Pure Fiction and Apocalyptic Shadow and you can even turn her into a Jade Driver or the main dps of her own team with Sunday/Fugue. While HuoHuo has seen major fall off recently when all the top dpses don't care about her energy utility, and her lower skill point positivity coupled with lower sustain capability than her peers That being said she will rise up to relevancy again in the dawn of 3.X but this lack of flexibility and power across the board is what holds her back from being that high in the futureproof list, imo. And Ruan Mei should be here instead of Sparkle. She has been kicked out of BiS in a few teams, but she has shown she stood the test of time firmly, and is inarguably the 1.X unit with the greatest value and would still do the most for your account if u were to pick her up now. Her kit is still very much insane even moving from 2.X into 3.X. Damage buffs, keeping enemies delayed, weakness break efficiency and all type res pen to name the notable ones. Sparkle, yeah, she does provide an abundance of skill points and is the only character to raise the maximum Skill Point count but so far we really haven't seen them lean into a need for that, and her futureproof strength has fallen into real slander and questioning ever since the bird siblings Robin and Sunday have come out back to back. They've effectively kicked her out of BiS nearly everywhere unless you have an E2 Sparkle comparing with E0 of those 2 in very specific scenarios. Sparkle I feel is just the most shafted of the limited harmony units. She has the weakest overall kit. A few things I could point out already is that her Light Cone is deceptively not big of a need on her, and that she is the only action advancer harmony that only does it at 50% and not a 100%, effectively putting her at a disadvantage from the get go. She does not have the same versatility as any of the others, her E1 is not even close to as good of an investment as Ruan Mei, Robin or Sunday, making her more expensive if you want to go vertical with her, and the 'niches' she is in are niches that are either not valued as much at the moment or are literally being accomplished better than her by other units. Ruan Mei meanwhile is still the most versatile support in the game, able to play into every single composition and archetype if needed, and is and has been the core of break/superbreak teams, which have been running rampant in the meta for a long time now. I expect them to take a backseat in 3.X but definitely not permanently, as break is a core part of the game. Even weakness locked enemies have gimmicks or conditions that make them playable. Even though E1S1 Fugue can replace her, you would much enjoy using them together and that doesn't account for the cost difference that an E0S0 Ruan Mei provides nearly the same, let alone if u were to grab her eidolon or more.
The thing about Lingsha… don’t most Break teams not even need a sustain? They have a lot of action delay already… and kill quick anyways. For that reason I’m not sure how needed she really is. Plus we have Gallagher.
@@lucassa5083 I can see the argument for HuoHuo still. And maybe Aventurine as well. It all really depends what kind of characters they want to put out. Any situation where we want energy for the team (Aglaea) is going to be a net positive for HuoHuo's viability and value
now with leaks coming out that she *might* be herta's bis teammate it feels so good and satisfying to see people crying that they skipped cuz they thought she was ass. i was a new player when her banner came out and she was the next 5 star i wanted after i got ruan mei so i'm happy she can supposedly shine in the way she was supposed to. im just sad i couldnt get her e1 in time so im hopeful she gets a rerun soon
Nobody really resistant to powercreep but Herta 4 star, Acheron, Robin, Ruan Mei, Aventurine, Bronya, and Huohuo have stood firm in terms of usability imo. They can easily adapt to new characters being put on their teams and the things they offer are timeless.
If you put Herta 4* here even tho The Herta is coming then I have to put Clara here too, cuz Svarog clapped Hoolay like it's nothing in MoC. Even tho Yunli works better in general, but in general case you would rather use chars like Acheron & Firefly anyway.
@@jerryeljeremy7790 I think Clara is really good but anytime the enemies don't attack much her performance tanks she is more like Himeko where she can excel in very specific scenario and not really good outside of it. Acheron pretty much works like Clara with Jiaoqiu, but the enemies do not have to attack anyone specifically or attack at all so she can gain stacks to "counter" them easier. You also have Yunli directly powercreeping Clara too while fixing some of her issues. So far 4 star Herta has remained unchallenged in PF even after all the new limited Erudition units. The best ones like Jade and the Herta have 4 star herta as their best support because her attack frequency is unmatched so you have that keeping her high value as well.
@@jerryeljeremy7790 the thing is smol herta actually plays REALLY well with big herta, ofc big hertas best team mate is jade but small herta is not far behind and probably one of her best team mates lmao , this is unlike yunli and clara
Acheron is quite save. The best support she has is jiaqou but theres always a nihility unit that could be better. Any future nihility unit will be goid for her and she doesn't rely on gimmicks to do damage like break @@xii_____iiu
7:49 Do people still use fu xuan these days? I don't own her so i wouldnt know but I mainly see aventurine, lingsha, and huohuo used as sustains nowadays. I also feel like as enemies continue to get stronger it's gonna be harder for fu xuan to effectively sustain teams
correction the more aoe damaging enemies we get the harder it becomes for her to sustain. We are in a content in which almost all the new enemies do aoe. Hoyo can change this at anytime. Aventurine is strong but imagine if hoolay was ST. Who would sustain better fu or aventurine for that scenario. Fu will struggle in heavy aoe. Aventurine will struggle in Heavy ST. Both are good but each have their own weakness.
Before Linghsha she was my only premium sustain and still use her with Acheron and other DPS to give the the Crit Rate buff. When you are in the end game sustain is not a problem because you can do MoC with Gallagher that is worst sustain in general, but what you want from just sustain is to give the team buffs to do more damage and clear enemies faster. Now that I have Sunday with Fu Xuan I guess I can make some odd builds with just 60% Crit Rate.
I use her exclusively with my E2 Acheron. That team is Acheron, E1 Jiaoqui, E2 Sparkle and E2 Fu Xuan. I like her here over my E2 Adventurine solely for her crit rate buff (cd too with E1) and her effect res buff, my Acheron team never gets cc’d because of her and she has a revive at E2. My other team is a similarly invested Feixiao team. Currently deciding between putting a Firefly team of the same caliber together or going all in for Aglaea because I love her design. I can zero cycle and clear absolutely everything to the max rn tho so I’m not too sure if Firefly is even worth it for me or if I should just pull for characters I like moving forward
I don’t own aventurine or Fu Xuan since I’ve been thriving with luocha as my only limited sustain since 1.1 and chilling in terms of clearing everything well
Sunday and Robin might be great now, but what’s stopping them from being the next 'meh' units when the devs drop another shiny character? 😅 Personally, I’d rather invest in characters I enjoy playing than gamble on this meta lottery. What about you all? Are you team 'follow the meta' or 'play your faves'?
Although I think that Break Meta is going to end to promoted the summoning mechanic, I still think that break teams will be able to 3 star end game modes. The fact that there are THREE dedicated supports for this mechanics (Gallagher being an honorable mention) makes me think that the break teams are more support reliant than dps reliant. If that’s the case, we’ll seeing break teams for a while as we know that supports usually have longer staying power.
Lingsha i’m not sure, bc I feel like fugue or rm have more value when it comes to break, soon with rmc being a thing fugue just goes up in value, exo toughness is also very busted especially with a rappa, rm is basically what makes the break team being able to break, plus the res pen is actually quite powerful and can’t forget the turn delay. Lingsha does have a 4* variant in which he is very good at his job. while she does have more flexibility as a sustainer, seeing how it is more easier to make new abundance chars than preservations, she might get powercreeped idk when but it is something I’ve been seeing lately.
let's please stop the cope that gallagher is anywhere close to lingsha, if it's not apparent now, it will be very quickly. People are already asking for Lingsha rerun xd.
@@sandeepinuganti8791 i am not? I’m just saying the fact that abundance has a higher chance for getting powercreep than preservation due to how difficult it is to add a new form of reducing or avoiding damage, and they tend to be the most powerful ones, unlike abundance which is mostly hp recovery, huo huo is an example of a hybrid abundance which does have a lower chance of getting replaced, meanwhile lingsha has a summon which is very good and also acts as a fua, but we can’t avoid the fact that she mostly heals, cleanses and has a singular debuff. Also with Gallagher I said he does very well at his role as a sustainer not glazing him.
I think they will move more and more towards very niche and specific synergies, similar to zzz where you have best in slot team members like Acheron pretty much needing Jiaoqiu to keep up right now. So you’ll need to plan to pull for multiple characters together to have a viable team and not just get the generalists characters that one-up each other. It makes it harder for low spenders to keep up with all the characters they like but it will be better in the long run since it’s harder to power creep those niche characters. So I think you’re right characters like jiaoqiu, sparkle, Sunday that have very specific niches will remain relevant as long as they continue to release characters that play into those niches.
As i low spender (bp+supply) I am so happy with my choices! I have all the mentioned characters and especially Jade was so looked down upon but she has been so good for my account.
As a diehard F2P who joined in 1.3, I’m not upset that I pulled characters I don’t use too often now, like Jingliu or Fu Xuan. They were what I needed on my roster then, and made it more fun to play the game at the time (it was getting tough playing with Lynx as sustain and 4* Dan Heng as main DPS early on). I didn’t have too much trouble building my Firefly, Acheron, and Feixiao teams even as F2P. I’ve found that I can usually pull a base copy of every 2nd or 3rd new 5 star character, so it’s quite possible to stay on top of the meta as a horizontal investor. Sure, my Feixiao team would be better with Topaz and my Break team would love Lingsha, but I have no issue full-clearing MOC with March 7th Hunt and Gallagher. I’ve learned to consider carefully when pulling reruns, though. My worst investment by far was rerun DHIL (+Sparkle) - he was already exiting the meta, so I didn’t end up using him much. But I was very drawn to him when I started playing HSR (and now he’s even having a mini-resurgence with pre-Remembrance Sunday), so I regret nothing.
The real problem for a character like Dan Heng IL begins, if a dedicated support (like Sparkle) doesn't push the DPS to a certain limit so that he is able to beat endgame content (E0S0). So you probably need some vertical investment as well to prevent powercreep.
Imo, Hunt March 7th will last for a long time, especially for F2P players. She can play as a SUB-DPS into FUA teams with Ratio, break teams (which is arguably the cheapest archetype in hsr) with Gallagher and HMC, while also buffing the team. One thing i also noticed while teaching a friend of mine is that her mechanics (SPD, fua, advance forward, rainbow toughness, etc) can help new players learn more about HSRs combat system.
Of the current Big Three (Acheron Feixiao Firefly) Acheron is technically the only one without a fully synergistic premium team for her archetype. She hasn't really hit her 'peak' yet. Feixiao has the FUA complete set (Aventurine sustain, extra turns and buffs from Robin and Topaz). Fugue's release gives break teams the final piece to replace HMC with, a superbreak enabler with exo-toughness. Acheron technically only has Jiaoqiu as the highly synergistic debuffer - her other teammates are all currently multipurpose supports and sustains. When we get a dedicated sustain who is able to consistently apply debuffs (like an equivalent Aventurine for DOT) Acheron will delay her eventual powercreeping.
After pulling on black swan for E1, a part of me feels like waiting until the anniversary is your best bet because those characters end up being really good. Seele is still going somehow. 7:47
It's so sad that few DPS characters are highly resistant to power creep with some of the developer and fan favorites being the few that are very long lasting (I'm thinking Acheron, Firefly, Feixiao, JingYuan maybe?). Some of the other DPSs even kinda drop off by the time of their rerun. I've started pulling mostly supports because of this. Now, I have nearly all the supports with only 2 DPS characters since Penacony 😅(Feixiao and Acheron, does Jade count?). I still play 1.x units in the 3 modes and they have served me well, namely Dan Heng IL. But when I cannot full star and end up just slotting in Acheron or Feixiao even with wrong weakness I do better. I really wish some of the older units could get a leg up like Jing Yuan did🤞. However when the HP sapping meta or new DoT meta comes to make some older units better HoYo will prob just introduce some characters that are better than the old units😑. Still, playing old units if you got the light cone and have their best supports and are well invested then they can work with some effort. Holding out hopes for the great 1.x chracters!( My perspective as a Day 1 player )
Imo fugue or rm should be the one for the BREAK category. Idunno why lingsha is the one for break bcoz lingsha ain't gonna do her break damage without superbreak (which is the core of break teams) If the category is either healing or summons then ok but putting lingsha for BREAK????? What's her contribution for break?
The best resistance to powercreep is to have aspects of the kit that you can gain from and others can benefit from. Topaz is very resistant since it is dependent on follow up attacks and can help other units with follow up attacks. Feixiao depends on high frequency and can attack with high frequency. These units will always improve if a follow up attacker comes out, or a high frequency attacker comes out.
I remember a lot of people advising skips for Jade because they were hyperfocused on MOC and Jiaoqiu because they thought he was a narrow Acheron team only character. Funny how the perception of them has changed to be a lot more positive.
Honestly, characters like seele may be buffed in the future, but i dont think that she will ever come back into the meta in any meaningful way. It really sucks that 1.X characters need heavy amounts of investment just to not be able to clear endgame content without the top supports. It makes pulling for "meta" more rewarding because it takes less time and investment to get them to do high amounts of damage. I think hoyo is never going to help with older characters because they dont want to directly buff a character. We may never see the day a f2p seele will be able to easily clear end game content 😢
Out of any archetype DoT is incomplete archetype also one of the oldest Archetype(1.2) except summon like jing yuan and yet break is the newest(2.3) among all which will be completed with fugue. So think support and sustain as core, DPS and sub DPS as shell. You can change shell according to your environment but you can't change core which defines your archetype. Hypercarry has sparkle and fu xuan or huohuo. Debuff has jiaoqiu and Gallagher. FUA has robin and aventurine. Break has ruan mei, fugue and lingsha. Summon has Sunday and might be dedicated sustain for summon in future. DoT has 0 support and 0 nihilistic sustain. They should make VV relic set which 2pc-5% energy and 4pc- reduces 30% res shred corresponding to equipper element when equipper use any skill. Which will be good for acheron too
I started playing this game when Robin / Topaz banner was ending and ever since I feel like I was chasing the meta. I got some old units I wanted (Huohuo, Fuxuan) but still I feel discouraged for wishing for older characters cause I have in the back of my mind that they will get powercrept soon or already are. Well I still do pull for the characters I want and enjoy, but I wish that there was a way to still be able to use the older characters for longer than a short period of their rerun time, where they usually they adjust the content to be relevant for them (example Jingyuan rn with Aglea coming up next patch)...
Hot take, I think Sunday will be power crept to oblivion because he has one major flaw. Like Bronya and Sparkle, he is a hyper carry and can only support 1 unit (including their summon). And just like them when we get multiple remembrance dps, we will need a buffer that can supports 2 dps in a team. Ultimately Sunday will be benched for that unit. Yes, before that unit comes out, he will define the meta. But as soon as the other unit comes, it's over for him.
The character that is most resistant to powercreep is none other than the best bartender in town, Gallagher. He has the most overloaded kit and OP LCs imo 1. He is SP positive. He can equip multiplication LC which is a 3* LC so he can generate sp faster 2. He can equip QPQ to give allies energy 3. He applies debuff which is also a break dmg increase and an atk down 4. Has a cleanse (tho single target) 5. Has 50% eff res due to eidolon 1 6. Has weakness break efficiency due to eidolon 6 This makes Gallagher fit into almost every team, except Follow-up team. He might even fit into summon teams if summons also have energy, is sp hungry, and might consume their hp every turn Others may think Lingsha powercrept Gallagher but there are things Lingsha cannot do while Gallagher excels at like being sp positive and utilizing QPQ more effectively since gallagher gains another turn when ulting
Eh i thought this, now that super-break is kinda falling off i no longer think this. Its clear the firefly teams output is not there. Gallaghers healing isn’t the best, his dps isn’t that great either, his break is good but hes getting a little out scaled by bosses.
on powercreep, although sunday is basically a direct sparkle power creep, i remember seeing a video by waveman dubbed the "bronya theorem" - basically, because hsr isnt played in a void and unit strength is based on the units around it, often times, when support units like bronya, or now sparkle, are power crept, they have more sustainability still because you just play both kind of along the lines of how even with power creep, the unit elevates the entire niche so the power creep isnt felt as hard also JINGYUAN IS BACK BABY I GOT SUNDAY AND HIS LIGHTCONE (lost both 5050s somehow but was lost kinda early like 50 pity or so) AND TRYING FOR HIS E1 PLEASE I NEED HIM
Unless hsr makes super break / break irrelevant in upcoming 3.x( which seems unlikely), chars like firefly , boothill teams will be definitely at 2nd most strongest after , of course the summon teams which we may come to expect as meta in upcoming patch. EODs explanation of limited chars being best at their niche is sound because we have not yet come across a situation where hsr has repeated the certain niche gameplay that may show old char being less effective than when they were first released. ( I hope it makes sense haha )
Every guide I go to, I'm told the same thing over and over, and now that I'm on guaranteed (rip Sunday) I think I'm going to wait for the rerun banners for Lingsha and Robin. They are the last two puzzle pieces I need to have at least 2 full teams for every end game mode. After that, I'll try to get Sunday again.
As a f2p, I feel like every time I finish building a good team for a character, someone new and powerful comes out. News of 3.0 comes out right after I got Aventurine for my Feixiao team. Now I’m reconsidering skipping Sunday for big Herta. I feel like big Herta might be powercrept in 3.X but Sunday should stay strong throughout 3.0 due to the focus on rememberance.
I think enemy composition is new style of play needs to added to your list. Currently units like himeko, herta, argenti, jade, and rappa all can do more if there are more enemies on the field. There are also threads that hitting more units is going to be a win condition like the current banana boss is APOS.
There is a fast and often category, but what if there becomes a slow and charged category that rewards damage in specific windows like an enemy will get buffs if it takes a certain amount of hits. This can buff JY LL and DHIL and also reshape the meta.
I think part of powercreep is how much they release new supports. Part of the reason powercreep is seen as being as bad as people say is because of the synergy they have with new supports. Like feixiao with robin, acheron with jq, and so on.
Beauty about this new path is that we don't know whats in store for the remembrance path. Maybe, they can buff dots in the future, follow-up, break, or crit based teams. We just have to wait an see. We can get possibly some utility based remembrance units, dps, or sub dbs. We just have to stay open minded. Prob a big disclaimer, whatever they showed on the stream is just a part of the characters of what's coming for the rest of 3.X, we'll ofc see new 4*'s ND 5*'s that weren't showen.
As a new player I always worry about power creep - do I pull for a character I like or a character that will be able to last longer? I get the welkin but I still need to think carefully about who to pull so I don't go broke. Love how informative and objective your videos are!
Lingsha over ruan mei for break is crazy, we already have e6 Gallagher which performs close enough to lingsha. But it's been over a year and we don't have a unit that does what ruan mei does. Also you forgot about aventurine he's the best sustain rn and getting better by shielding summons, and he can debuff eith his ultimate + FUA/trend
I'd be very surprised if Ruan Mei got truly replaced any time soon (even by Fugue)... she does so much, without even needing her lightcone or eidolons. I do agree about Lingsha though, I kinda like her and might grab her on her rerun (had to skip her last time).
I feel like one reason for powercreep in general is how fast characters come out, we get 2 per patch and thats just too fast for any real relevance, by the time youre done building one character another comes out, then another then another. I wish they slowed down character releases or maybe buffing old characters but thats even more unlikely to happen
The only character I believe has been truly power crept is Clara. Even Seele still manages to clear endgame content and still fills a niche roll in a niche team. Seele is the proof that actually investing into your team instead of pulling the flavor of the month can pay off.
I think the main problem is the lack of other alternatives to Kafka and Swan, every other DoT unit basically sucks, which I felt in Pure Fiction. we need more DoT units, it’s such an interesting niche
I was so happy when Acheron revived Silver Wolf on my account, but now that said account has matured, Silver Wolf has again lost quite a bit of value for me, especially now that my Acheron is E2. Even with Dr. Ratio I tend to get better performance using Topaz & Numby. Hope she gets another revival of some sort from Hoyo.
Couple of things -although sparkle gives skill points Sunday is also very sp positive on his ultimate, because of summon/immediate push I would say he outranks sparkle pushing her out of meta completely. -Ruan mei is still more useful in dot/break, even more than jiao qiu in dot since only his e2 can be in standard dot
The only character I regret not pulling is Huohuo. Based on the leaks, upcoming characters are have higher ultimate cost (200+ energy). Maybe this due to the arrival of Sunday. I didn't pull for Huohuo because I'm saving for Feixiao and Robin next patch and I already have Aventurine, Fu Xuan and E6 Gallagher. Man, if I just waited and pull Huohuo rather than Fuxuan (she's still good though)
Most likely, in 3.0, we’ll get a 4* character who can provide energy recharge similar to HuoHuo. This character will probably be either free or very easy to obtain. I’ll also speculate that in the future we’ll have a character who can reduce defense and provide energy recharge. This character would fit into Aglaea’s team, replacing the Trailblazer of the Path of Remembrance or Robin. Additionally, they would also play in Yunli’s team and synergize with her E2.
Out of the big 3 2.X DPS. Feixiao I feel will keep going strong due to the premium FuA is ridiculously good but eventually she may start to drop Acheron is special, her trace and kit makes her get better with time. I don't believe she'll ever be in the position such as how badly Jingliu fell off. It seems like even against Ice weak enemies she just can't do enough damage. The HP inflation doesn't help either. Lastly my main Firefly, I believe another break DPS could come and unsurp her as the top break DPS but until that time comes she's so comfortable and can reliable n can easily stomp content. As long as enemies don't lock their TB n they're weak to Fire (that hardly matters anyway) regardless of the HP inflation she'll keep cooking, sure she isn't No1 anymore at E0 S0 but she's still very very strong. Her E2 will make her almost immune to powercreep like Acheron's.
Here I am reminiscing how my jingliu blade luocha combo stomps 1.x content, now it is not as effective in clearing content. But sustains like luocha is still one of my favorite as I still prefer him over fuxuan for harder moc content to keep the team alive. Just got Sunday and his lightcone and hope that rememberence units will be the meta to stomp 3.x content.
Honestly with how HSR is going we'll see more character archetypes that should be more resistant to powercreep. Very tragic that Kafka seems to have been benched even though she was sold as a future value pull. In particular I'm looking forward to how they cook with the summon archetype annd how many variations we can get of kits.
Despite being 4-stars, I still think Gallagher and March 7th Hunt are up there. Sustains don't come by often and for me he competes with Houhou. March 7th competes with Topaz as well for my follow-up team.
When it comes to powercreep resistance, my bet would always be on supports. For Abundance, Lingsha and Huohuo would last longer than the others. Except Aventurine, i don't see anyone else filling in that spot for a Preservation character just yet. Harmony is a bit more resistant, with Sunday, Robin, Bronya (for non-Sunday havers), and Ruan Mei (for break). Break would still be around for a while, depending on the new characters in 3.x. Firefly's fire weakness plant is very useful and puts Ruan Mei in a good position to avoid powercreep. Fugue is another indication that Break team would stay relevant for now, even after Remembrance MC comes out. Except Firefly, DPS can come and go very easily. I wouldn't invest in them so much and instead save more pulls for more support. My mains now are Firefly, Acheron, and Jingyuan (since it's Sunday's banner now) and I'd be set until the next meta DPS comes out.
I'm F2P, I only pulled for E0 limit characters and I never pulled limited LC. I'm pulling for the characters that I want and suitable play style with them. My teams are FUA (FRAT), Acheron (with Jiaoqiu), Break (FF, RM, HMC, Lingsha), DOT (with Kafka, BS), Jingliu Hypercarry, Seele Hypercarry, Jingyuan Summon (with Sunday), Clara (counter), and Herta Himeko Jade. Most build of my characters are decent and I am interchanging characters when needed to clear game content. Currently I can full star MOC, PF and AS. It doesn't really matter if you get 0 cycle or 10 cycle. Plan your pulls and build characters you have, that's why leaks, and advance server content is important so that you can plan ahead. Don't just gamble your pulls 😂 my next pull will Fugue (a character that have built-in super break), next will be The Herta for my Jade.
This game is starting to create specific enemy win conditions that you need to play into. The Choir is weak to break, Hoolay is weak to high frequency attacks including counters, and the banana team is weak to AOE. HSR can easily shift the meta by making enemies that have a specific weakness.
I hope in 3.0, there is a 4* character that can be a placeholder for Sunday. I don't think I can get him now as there is not enough resource for me to pull. Might make it if I do quests and open chest and stuff since there still time but losing 50/50 is always an unavoidable aspect in this game at least for me.
I think the sheer power of harmony units is the biggest issue with power creep at the moment. Jingliu for example, barely benefits from their multipliers and thus falls off. Blade, doesn't have single support truly made for him. Jing Yuan before Sunday, didn't have a proper support. Break without Ruan Mei? Significantly worse. Acheron without Sparkle? Far worse. DPS might be the best sellers, but harmony units are the actual team cornerstone and meta definers.

Real. Even after Yunli and Boothill, my Argenti remains solid. In fact, with the new relics and Sunday he's better than ever
I wish they would make dispelling enemy units more necessary in the game to make luocha and pela more rewarding to use
Yeah it's quite funny how the vast majority of buffs that enemies apply that you'd want to dispel are unremovable, leaving you with either nothing at all or only negligible debuffs to remove.
Please god no lol
The mara-struck soldiers are good enough for me honestly it saves so much time 😆
People praised Silverwolf a lot, and now she is ☠
She’s really not lol
@Galahad-n4d Speaking of HuoHuo, after Robin was released and I noticed their synergy, I realized that she would eventually have her own team. I remember having debates with Gallaher mains, trying to prove that HuoHuo would get another team with Robin even before Yunli’s team was released, as well as one more team in 3.0. Only after that will her lifecycle truly come to an end.

@@lycerisrico8943this is always my biggest regret 😭, seele silver wolf and sparkle
If only they made SW’s type application team wide instead of single unit she would’ve stayed relevant till now for all hyper-carry teams.
@@ixirion*most viable
Nah, she's not that mandatory for break/superbreak anymore...for Rappa, HMC+Fugue is generally better, and for Firefly, Ruan Mei+Fugue is practically the same as Fugue+HMC...only Ruan Mei is superior with BH. Also, RM is better in Firefly's team if the enemy has a toughness of 200+...
To put it in perspective, before having or not having Ruan Mei was a 50% loss of damage xd

She was already outperformed in value after Robin.
As both a teambuilder AND casual, there are three major things that I've noticed that all characters in HSR rely on.
SPEED
ENERGY MECHANICS
and DAMAGE AMPS
SPEED is what made Ruan Mei withstand the test of time.
Correction, ruan mei gives you 10% speed not a flat 10.
@@Salientspeaker56 Yes but you're unlikely to be getting much more than 12-13 spd. from Ruan mei since not many people have 170 spd or 160 spd so rounding it down to 10

We went from resistant to powercreep to resistant to powercreep for up to 7 patches (maybe) 💀
Don't worry friend, thenext step is resistant to powercrept up to 3 patch (hopefully)
it’s hard to imagine an aventurine powercreep. he’s the zhongli of hsr fr.
My QQ has been killing it with Sunday, Sparkle and Fu Xuan. Also my FF team has been absolutely coping without Ruan Mei
So much for Kafka's supposed immunity to powercreep. Atp i wouldn't be surprised if the start of DOT meta is with the release of a straight up better Kafka😭

So hyped for new remembrance units, Sunday + Robin core will be absolutely amazing
While HuoHuo has seen major fall off recently when all the top dpses don't care about her energy utility, and her lower skill point positivity coupled with lower sustain capability than her peers
That being said she will rise up to relevancy again in the dawn of 3.X but this lack of flexibility and power across the board is what holds her back from being that high in the futureproof list, imo.
The sheer ammount of energy that remembrance character are gonna want, make huohuo more solid than lingsha even though i dont like huohuo

If you put Herta 4* here even tho The Herta is coming then I have to put Clara here too, cuz Svarog clapped Hoolay like it's nothing in MoC.

correction the more aoe damaging enemies we get the harder it becomes for her to sustain.
I cleared moc 12 with.... Luocha and fu xuan .... So I think they aged fine to me ... The new ones are good but the olds ones still relevant

All of Robins buffs, including her Ult work on Memosprites sooooo I hope you pulled her.
I've been playing since day 1 and I follow you since you had around 3 videos in this channel :D HI
And still I only have the break units- help
Love the video EOD! Keep up the great content, they’re always a great start to my day in the shower
Just wanna let you know that the new color scheme looks great! Keep up the good work!
Idunno why lingsha is the one for break bcoz lingsha ain't gonna do her break damage without superbreak (which is the core of break teams)
If the category is either healing or summons then ok but putting lingsha for BREAK?????
I have a feeling Fugue's exo toughness + colorless break (ownself + giving to others) will last for a long time.
I still regret pulling SW and her LC during her rerun.. I thought weakness placement would be unique to her and she’d make seele good again 😔
He has the most overloaded kit and OP LCs imo
1. He is SP positive. He can equip multiplication LC which is a 3* LC so he can generate sp faster
2. He can equip QPQ to give allies energy
3. He applies debuff which is also a break dmg increase and an atk down
4. Has a cleanse (tho single target)
5. Has 50% eff res due to eidolon 1
6. Has weakness break efficiency due to eidolon 6
This makes Gallagher fit into almost every team, except Follow-up team. He might even fit into summon teams if summons also have energy, is sp hungry, and might consume their hp every turn
Others may think Lingsha powercrept Gallagher but there are things Lingsha cannot do while Gallagher excels at like being sp positive and utilizing QPQ more effectively since gallagher gains another turn when ulting
so he's like "the wolverine" in any team except followup
@@SeongJeonHwan I don't know what "the wolverine" means but I guess yes?
Eh i thought this, now that super-break is kinda falling off i no longer think this. Its clear the firefly teams output is not there. Gallaghers healing isn’t the best, his dps isn’t that great either, his break is good but hes getting a little out scaled by bosses.
wait until enemies cannot be debuffed and watch his sustain became nonexistant
@@blueraine21lol never. That'll practically kill off DoT's permanently against said enemy. Not to mention Acheron too.
on powercreep, although sunday is basically a direct sparkle power creep, i remember seeing a video by waveman dubbed the "bronya theorem" - basically, because hsr isnt played in a void and unit strength is based on the units around it, often times, when support units like bronya, or now sparkle, are power crept, they have more sustainability still because you just play both
kind of along the lines of how even with power creep, the unit elevates the entire niche so the power creep isnt felt as hard
also JINGYUAN IS BACK BABY I GOT SUNDAY AND HIS LIGHTCONE (lost both 5050s somehow but was lost kinda early like 50 pity or so) AND TRYING FOR HIS E1 PLEASE I NEED HIM
also if dot will get buffs it will only be in the later patches of 3.x, similar to how follow up got a lot of love in later 2.x
Get that RAID sponsorship bag! Playing since 1.0, excited for 3.0 and more EOD content!
Yes. Jing Yuan T0 with Sunday. Thhe General returned to glory! (Day 1 player).
It feels like any support in the 'fast/often' group will always be good because of the nature of turn based games, but I guess we'll see
I think enemy composition is new style of play needs to added to your list.
Hope she gets another revival of some sort from Hoyo.
our general never falls off
Goat fr
Okay I really need the welkin moon so I'm commenting xD thank you EOD
Couple of things
-although sparkle gives skill points Sunday is also very sp positive on his ultimate, because of summon/immediate push I would say he outranks sparkle pushing her out of meta completely.
-Ruan mei is still more useful in dot/break, even more than jiao qiu in dot since only his e2 can be in standard dot
Amazing video as always EOD 💛
I skipped huohuo to pull fu xuan on her rerun bc she was the best sustain back then. Now she is benched
Out of the big 3 2.X DPS.
Feixiao I feel will keep going strong due to the premium FuA is ridiculously good but eventually she may start to drop
Acheron is special, her trace and kit makes her get better with time.
I pulled Silverwolf, Sparkle and Fu Xuan thinking mono quantum would be insane... hopefully they release another 5 star Quantum DPS
I came from the community repsone about powercreep video and heard giveaway so here I am :D
I remember back in 1.4 when Jing Liu was PEAK with outstanding DPS, now she is still good but not as good as others such as Acheron or Feixiao
i saw in my dreams that robin ult can AA memosprites of the summoners as well, robin will continue to dominate 3.x as well
Despite being 4-stars, I still think Gallagher and March 7th Hunt are up there. Sustains don't come by often and for me he competes with Houhou. March 7th competes with Topaz as well for my follow-up team.
Love the new animations dude !
Lingsha top 5 imo, I feel like her having a summon might come in handy. She can fit into Break, FUA and she's basically an erudition unit
I'm concerned abt the hp scaling makes me think twice abt getting dps close to each other
I think the sheer power of harmony units is the biggest issue with power creep at the moment.
I was here... And currently I'm working on a Jingliu+Loucha+Fugue+Ruan Mei team.
My Luocha been carrying me ever since his release. Granted I use destruction characters still for most non fire clears I need.
There is no charecter who is resistant to powercreep, it's about how long they stay relevant ╮(. ❛ ᴗ ❛.)╭
