He brought in Mutoumbo to replace Theo Ratliff. Mutoumbo was a one-way player.
Ratliff not only was he a great defender he was also that second dependable scorer that we lost when Ratliff got injured, which Allen never got again.
Brown panicked and made the wrong move. Larry Brown destroyed our team then blamed Iverson for the mess that was made.
Then, after losing in the NBA Finals the 76ers failed to make the proper adjustments and Allen, (with the help of David Stern) gets labeled a bad player, who was a ball-hogg, poor defender, & locker room cancer.
Larry Brown ran his offense through Iverson. There wasn't a play drawn up for any other 76er at that time. Everybody else was EXPECTED by Brown to play defense, yet Allen led the 76ers in steals.
I don't know how steals aren't a part of playing defense. Steals are the rewards of playing defense. Steals are like interceptions in Football.

I’ve been watching sports commentary for about 28 years when skip left ESPN it forever changed sports commentary. They’ve both gone on to do great things but it’s just not the same. I watch Stephen a maybe once or twice a week if that and the same with skip. When they were together I never missed a show. That was my before work routine get up and dressed make a cup of coffee ☕️ and watch them for about an hour and head out. The good ole days
