    Another level of engineering genius, seriously amazing, imagine what it will be like with your own cylinder head cast and purring away on a motorbike

      Thanks man that really means a lot. Hopefully, in my next attempt, I have a usable casting and can move on to the next step!

    Some engine breeds are dying like the konda k, LS and Coyotes, being able to 3d print cast could make this accessible in auto shops creating a library of knowledge on how to make these and completing at local machine shops would revolutionize the enthusiast space.

    Great video, you earned a subscription. ;)
    As for your cutoff saw, if the brushes are shorter than they are wide, they need replacing and that may be your issue. But if you are giving it a birthday, you may as well clean up the commutator with a bit of sandpaper. (There should be plenty of videos detailing the simple process)
    If that doesn't fix it, the problem is likely a shorted winding in the rotor which is not economical to repair.

      Thanks Mick much appreciated!
      As for the saw, that is with new brushes fitted and I cleaned up the commutator with some scotch Brite. So it's a nice copper color again, that was before I took that recording so I'm guessing not much point going any further.

      Out of curiosity, my dewalt battery hammer drill has done it since purchase, good or bad?

    "Hot topping" is a new one on me. What did you pour there?

    • @TheMotorcycleForge
      @TheMotorcycleForge  5 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @thehydroblade A356 Aluminum.
      Yeah hot topping is good for keeping the feeders liquid till the head is solidified.

      @ what material do you use for the hot topping?

    Can you eplain the hot topping

    • @TheMotorcycleForge
      @TheMotorcycleForge  5 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @tonyhill8300 It's a product you put on the molten metal, which creates a reaction that puts heat into the risers, ensuring that they are last to cool.
      This helps with shrinkage.
