Barbra made me tear up acknowledging that she thought Judy the greatest singer. How in credibly humble of her when she herself is superb! I think she is being sincere and genuine and this is why it is such an emotional moment❤
I love both of those women. 2 Spectacular voices. That duet was the greatest thing ever captured on film. I've watched it an uncountable number of times.
Dear Miss Barbra....she is warmly appreciative of our beloved JUDY......miss Barbra is a class act....I wonder if Judy Garland knew how much she was soooooo loved and appreciated????😢
Judy had this incredibly emotional and vulnerable quality in her singing, and I think that's why Barbra regards her as the greatest vocalist. Technically they are equal but I understand why Barbra thinks Judy was the best.
Of course singing is "subjective", but by no stretch were Judy and Barbra equal ... Streisand was far better (as her record sales and countless accolade bestowed upon her suggest.)
Seriously, you don't think Judy had the same record sales & accolades & movie box office & concert revenues & love from critics & public as Barbra?! Puh-leezzze!
@@GjpgrD You can't compare sales and revenues from different eras. Judy was a huge movie star in the 1930's; Barbra's career didn't start until the 1960's.
Two great legends and beautiful singer. Love their duets together. Both just brilliant and so talented. Judy was the greatest entertainer ever. Barbara is a legend too…over 60 plus years in the business. ❤❤❤
Back in the 1970s, Streisand did an interview with Playboy. She was asked if she had the best voice of pop/jazz singers. She said, “What does that even mean? The best? You mean higher notes or lower notes? Hey, we’re all different, but for an actual voice, I’d have to say Aretha.” Barbra was pretty humble, even back then.
BOTH superb on this duet and when they open up with the belt "From now on....." Lord that came from another Universe and don't care if anyone says HYPERBOLE
I've been a Streisand fan for years and have seen most of her interviews. She had mentioned many of the things she talks about in her book during her past interviews. I doubt there's much in her new book that I have not already heard her talk about before. There's nothing riveting, in my opinion.
Any time the phrase "Greatest ____ of all time" or "World's greatest ____" is used by Americans, we're really only talking about our own culture, in our own era, and our own individual opinions. I'm willing to say that Judy, Barbra, Aretha and Whitney all were great singers. I can't say that any was better than the late opera star Mirella Freni. I can't tell you if any was greater than the 19th Century singer Pauline Viardot, because I wasn't there to hear her. There's no point in setting up a contest.
I would love to see actor Nick Nolte doing a duet with rapper Cardi B. That would be a duet that would break the internet. The passion would probably be illegal In most countries.

Well, she WAS the greatest singer. Streisand had a wider range, but didn't/doesn't have the emotional depth with her singing that Garland had.
I love when she said, No I have to stay humble. Something lacking in the world today.
I love how Judy's been gone for years but we always bring her up - everyone just loves her.
The dead in Christ will rise first.
That was such a rare, special moment and song, sung by 2 of the greatest, brightest, and best singers of all time
Every time I hear Judy and Barbra together it’s just a flood of tears. Joy, sorrow, memories, everything! That says GREATNESS to me.
Aww I love how Barbra referred to Judy in present tense 0:18.
Love Barbara,🤗, Barbara is so graceful and humble. Love from South Africa 🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦😘🌹🌹💝

Omg. Amazing interview. Thanks barbs. Love how respectful and real you are.
I adore this woman!!!!!
Absolutely ADORE!!!!!❤️🙏🏽
Them ladies were/are gifted with quite the pipes.
Dear Miss Barbra....she is warmly appreciative of our beloved JUDY......miss Barbra is a class act....I wonder if Judy Garland knew how much she was soooooo loved and appreciated????😢
This is really an awesome interview. I don't think I have ever seen Barbra so relaxed.
A Legend talking about a Legend. This will not be seen so often in the future. We are running short of Legends
Legends are no longer with us.... a legend has passed on.
being interviewed by a legend.
THANK YOU, Barbra, for doing this with Howard… Gawwwd how we love the insights ☺️
They're on equal terms;
She knows how great she is in her profession--- And he knows how great he is in his profession

Agree 🙌

2:45 She and Judy ARE the greatest of the greats! All others are footnotes❤
They are simply two of the greatest singers of all time.
When they sang together, it was a great moment in time; and we feel their respect, beyond their differences,in communion✨✨✨
Barbra is incredibly generous in her affection for Judy Garland . . . such a class act.
I love how Howard refers to 40s as being young 0:48. Makes me feel better about my life.
Streisand is the greatest singer of all time. There is no close second. But great to hear her affection for such a wonderful and vulnerable mentor.
Nonsense.
FALSE
Judy Garland and Ella Fitzgerald are the two greatest, but Barbra Streisand might be number 3.
Judy sang with some of the best singers of her Era and most of the up and coming new best singers..across color lines..
Two great legends and beautiful singer. Love their duets together. Both just brilliant and so talented.
Judy was the greatest entertainer ever. Barbara is a legend too…over 60 plus years in the business.
❤❤❤
Judy Garland was a fantastic singer.❤
Judy could do it all, and did. She remains the singular greatest talent we have ever seen. There is no argument to be had.
It took a long time, but Barbra is so natural and mellow now, without the need to be self-conscious.
What lovely respect and honesty. Go, BJS!
It takes growing up poor and working hard to be still this humble when she is still one of the most successful artists of all time
Pleaaaaase post the whole thing!🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
POWERFUL AND PROFOUND 🌹🌹🌹
Great interview!
Babara and Judy ❤❤❤❤❤
Barbara is just the greatest
Agree. She is my absolute favorite.
She and Miss Garland sang a gorgeous duet later in that same show.
When Barbra said that they felt each eachothers pain,WHY don't interviewers pick on the interesting stuff ?! Ie asking her to elaborate on that!
Back in the 1970s, Streisand did an interview with Playboy. She was asked if she had the best voice of pop/jazz singers. She said, “What does that even mean? The best? Fabulous!
How do I watch the whole interview, please?
7o‘clock
I have seen some things on t.v. just as good but nothing better than that duet.
BOTH superb on this duet and when they open up with the belt "From now on....." Lord that came from another Universe and don't care if anyone says HYPERBOLE
Good question, Howard. Judy was a legend. o
So awesome that Howard got this interview
Howard: Do you think you’re the greatest singer of all time?
Barbra: MEeeEEEE???
Judy was not one of the best. She was the greatest talent of a
Barbara Streisand ✨☄️🌹
When Babs pronounces the greatest. Nuff said.
Barbra is so smart intelligent and beautiful love her
❤
Most likely, yes. She said that the editor asked for some blood.
❤️❤️❤️🎼🎼🎼❤️❤️❤️🎼🎼🎼❤️❤️❤️🎼🎼🎼
Miss Strisand I love you and I have All your records. BUT judy is the greatest singer ever.
I love Judy but I love Barbara’s voice much better. No comparison for me.
Does her new book spill any T? Cause the stories she's sharing in these interviews aren't really delivering.
I've been a Streisand fan for years and have seen most of her interviews.

And it's usually just pop culture icons, many of whom received a huge push from the powers that be, for one reason or another.
Great point.
🎉
I would love to see actor Nick Nolte doing a duet with rapper Cardi B. That would be a duet that would break the internet. The passion would probably be illegal In most countries.
Now we need Cher, Meryl Streep and Diane Keaton on here ASAP!
he didnt come in for this?
Trivia: Judy Garland played the little girl on The Wizard of Waverly Place.
Barbra was the greatest, but love Judy too.
yo Kira, where's Fizgig?
Could Howard slobber a little more?
Howard I love you but you sure know how to kiss ____.
Howard doesn't ask very good questions
agreed
No he does not.
I can't believe he's still around!
Howard is a Hugh Gassol!
Barbara failz
Neither one
And.......Céline Dion ?
Janis Joplin is still the greatest singer of them all
Euh... no!.very good yes...the greatest?...no.
Janis Joplin is light-years behind Barbra and Judy...
Whitney Houston has entered the chat
@@ktipbomb7888 Not really Whitney at all but ARETHA FRANKLIN YES!
LOL
Is that Howard in drag or really Barbara?
Ha Ha Ha Funny Funny Funny
Babs is an absolute legend of course but either Whitney Houston or Aretha Franklin is the greatest singer of all time.
Barbra, Whitney, Aretha, Judy are in the same category of "the greatest singers". It's art. There isn't something as "the greatest singer".
@@patricedecourcy4505 That’s fair.
Legends are dead.
Definitely not. Even Whitney deferred to Barbra
YOU'RE ALL WRONG! The greatest singer of all time is William Hung.
Aretha Franklin has a better voice.
But they did different things. I’d say they were both the greatest in their artform. Judy was a torch song singer.
Judy had a vulnerability in her voice that is beyond compare.
A different voice - perhaps if she had also done more films her repertoire would have been different as well.
