Those guitar riffs at the end of the assault portion are NASTY, if this is what PD3's gonna sound like, then we oughta make another "OST King" throne for Gustavo, that man is COOKING.
I understand why people think this track doesn't really fit the Texas Heat theme, but honestly for the level it's made for it fits super well. It really feels like a Corporate espionage track with rock mixed in and i love it. (Also that part at 4:05 oh my looorrrrrd absolutely amazeballs) Also thanks for your unofficial uploads, really dig how you start from the Control phase to Anticipation to Assault and then Stealth, that should be the standard format for listening to the tracks outside the game.
This one is such a fucking bop, especially that weird ass scratch sound. I asked the host to wait a bit before leaving just so I can listen to it a bit more
Your "weird scratch sound" is actually made on a guitar! It's a type of "wah" guitar if I recall. It was a really common thing around the 80s, especially when cops were involved.
not even 35 minutes ago and here we are listening to the new track edit. in my personal opinion on first listen, it does not stand out from the rest of the ost but it does stand out within the texas heat campaign. i guess the idea with this track was to make it fit with the big city theme of the hostile takover bundle which is defo a positive. i give it a 7/10. not unique but certaintly not unoriginal. this is what the majority of EDM from the ost is and that's perfectly fine.
It's taken me a few listens to really feel this one. It's very, very good, but it does stray from the theme of the previous two Texas Heat tracks, which I really loved. This feels like a track straight out of the game's original run, pre-Silk Road and that certainly isn't a bad thing, it just doesn't stick out to me as much as Trailblazer and Trainwreck.
Yeah that my thing about that song. Trailblazer was such a fuckin ride and Trainwreck was awesome on its own. This song however, it feels like its holding itself back. Its like a prelude to something. Something BIG. Something final. And with rumors that the next heist will be the ACTUAL last heist of Payday 2, maybe Gustavo is prepping himself to the send-off Payday 2 deserve. And we all know Payday is nothing without its killer soundtrack
i dont think it is as good as the last 2 tracks of the campain (bc I just love the banjo there) but it a fitting addition to the normal heist tracks. reminds me a lot of the original OST that the game came out with
Similarly to Trailblazers (copying my old comment): "Because it sounds more varied and action-packed this way. And because official soundtrack doesn't always follow St-Co-An-As either, evident from many tracks by Simon. People usually skip Stealth straight into Control/Anticipation anyway (judging from YT statistics and personal experience), just to get to the juice. Not to mention that other people usually quickly upload tracks with the default in-game order, while I try to do edits that I want to (and do) listen to myself. And that how I imagine Simon/Gustavo would splice them." Tl;dr: it just feels like a better listening experience to start with the bang and end with the chill part.
@@CrimeNetArchive to be fair, I made that comment before Tijuana Music Pack was a thing. Not to mention that Gustavo cuts stealth sections by a lot to make the beginning not sound too lengthy: Deadeye - beginning, 30s. (in-game length ~1m30s) Bonebreaker - beginning, 5s; ending, 30s. (in-game length ~1m10s) Dirt & Dust - no stealth part (in-game length ~1m40s). Underground Lockdown - stealth intro only (real length ~1m40s). Trick of the Trade - beginning, 30 seconds (real length ~2m50s). Cakewish - stealth intro only (real length ~1m20s). Sucker Punch - beginning, 45 seconds (real length ~2m30s). His official edits are great, but I personally want to preserve all of his tracks because some stealth sections sound really good, but they're also very lengthy and don't sound right when they go on for minutes at the start, but they're great as an ending. Sucker Punch stealth, for example, takes 2 minutes and 30 seconds and it also is a great part of the track, cutting it feels bad. Generally speaking, I honestly don't see the issue with stealth being at the end, since people rarely transition from stealth into assault in-game, it's just a game restart most of the time, lol. Separate parts for separate enjoyers. And I feel like prioritizing Assault because that's what people love about Payday soundtracks. Anyway, if you want the in-game phase order - check out KMD OST's upload: th-cam.com/video/vS4pwufmcYk/w-d-xo.html
@@CrimeNetArchive Ohhh, sorry, I'm dumb and didn't read the name, late night. :D Yeah, it's good to have the in-game order for those who prefer that. No offense taken, I understand.

I have to say, Simon is a GOD when it comes to stealth tracks but Gustavo is definitely becoming my favorite when it comes to the loud tracks
when i heard those guitars for the first time i put the music at full volume and shredded the cops, idk how Gustavo made even more peak

Sounds like Chaos Theory💀
This is actually a 10/10 for me lol
Same
that 15 second little riff between 3:05 and 3:20 bops
This sounds like the soundtrack to a fighting game that released in the early/mid 2000s on the PS2
It slaps

He's one composer in payday anyway
Oh, I remember you. Good to see you here, sir.

I find this a very suitable music for
"GO GO GO!" while running and shootin

Sounds cool at 1.25x

Is there any chance you can upload one of these for sly gloves (it's a stealth track)
Done.
Why put stealth at the end? Seems like a weird decision
