This is definetely an alternative reality/universe/take on the events from CB. Otherwise the fight is pointless as you canonically cannot win(You're fighting against a guy with infinite quick load ability, thats just Undertale all over again). So its just a reference, even if that boss character(supposedly) is the protagonist of the first game.
Hello, thank you for this video, I really apreciate the fact that someone has finaly made such thing. I understand the critics of the mod too, but you also have to understand that I didn't have much time before release, so a lot of stuff has been used from other games like Black Mesa. The 0.1.0 version which I'm currently developing introduces a lot of new features and original assets, almost everything from Black Mesa has been replaced with custom made assets, and a lot of bugs have been fixed too. I just want to inform you that a lot of bugs you had in your walkthrough I saw for the first time, even with the same circumstances I haven't encountered them while testing. This can be simply and briefly explained: Blitz 3D. This is the engine game runs on, and apparently the worst game engine there is, so it's sadly no surprise there are so many bugs. And if you ask me why didn't I develop the game on something different, I would just tell that I wasn't that experienced with other engines when I started security stories. With all that said I hope that you still like the game despite all of the bugs, and I also hope that you will be able to play version 0.1.0 of scp-ss a lot comfortably. Best regards, Wolfnaya - NWI, Leader
I don't really meant to criticize the shortcomings that your mod has, since it's still in development, and in my perspective this mod is more like a friend group project that you guys do in your free time. You guys definitely put alot of effort into making this mod, which is admirable, but maybe you guys put your faith in the wrong game engine, in the wrong game even cuz SCP: NTF's development progress is slow as heck, and it probably takes longer than the development of the original SCP: CB to finish and till that time, many people won't even remember it exists, let alone an interesting mod like what you guys have here. So what i was trying to say in my video is that though your mod is quite alright, you guys has potential to do something better than that, it doesn't have to be SCP: CB or SCP: NTF alikes, take SCP: Ground Zero for example (if you have played that game), that game started off as another SCP: CB clone, then the devs took a step back and made a total different game with unique ideas which got huge praise, if it weren't for the fact that the dev lost their source file, that game could have been something bigger. You guys had the chance to do something like that too, it doesn't have to be the same old SCP: CB gameplay with new stuffs or SCPs to play around with. But as i have no rights to decide what you guys should make, just take it as an suggestion. And to be frank i'm pretty sure someone somewhere really manages to beat this mod, they just don't upload stuffs to youtube, but i do hope your mod can make it to some more influencial youtubers, i mean this mod can be pretty bad but at least in a goofy way, so just keep up with your great works.
@@Flopamine thank you for the good words, it means a lot. Of course, now I'm more advanced with unreal engine, so my future projects won't be necessary a scp projects, but they will definitely be better
@@wolfnaya0 hey, im also an aspiring game dev. I really liked your ideas. Its an awesome project ! Dont get discouraged! I have faith that you will do something big
Did you know that this game will take a very huge update? This game will be updated with unreal engine 5 and its name gonna be "scp classified stories"
Half-Life = SCP : Containment Breach Half-Life Opposing Force = SCP : Nine Tailed Fox Half-Life Blue Shift = SCP : Security Stories Now SCP has Full Expansion!
alotta the music is taken from black mesa and scp 5k so if you dont find the song you like from the soundtrack yeah look thru one of those but you can find the soundtrack on wolfs channel
recently I played the new version 0.1.0 of the mod, I can say it's little better than the old versions but worse (in terms of lag, seriously man and it's impossible to play this mod with lag, so much so that I give up so much on the old versions and the recent version, I don't know why the dev didn't fix the lag a long time ago in this mod)
Blitz3d is an old game engine so it sure has a lot of limitations, they're working to remake the game in better engine like unreal or something if I remember correctly, just wait until they release something.
you should probably ask the devs for that, i already deleted the mod's file so i can't check the credits where they may have the names and author for those songs and music
the reactor chapter seems to be completely broken for me, I can't even start it, the game just crashes in loading screen after you press the elevator button to the reactor area in HCZ. I am kinda wondering how you could get it through there, have the same version and both patches applied. This by far was the worst bug I have found, because it doesn't let you progress (getting into reactor is crucial for the story campaign) and also seems to be corrupting the save file, because after you try to load it it will crash everytime. I tried to noclip to the reactor area, but I have no clue where the rooms associated with reactor are (those for Chapter 3), I tried to fly all the way up and down and found nothing
Download SCP: Security Stories thru link in description, also download patch 1 and 2 cuz the game will crash even more without those. Unzip every file then put and replace files from patch 1 and 2 to main SCP: Security Stories folder. Then you just need to add SCP: NTF on steam to your library and don't exit Steam as the mod runs by it, you can now start the game by running the exe file in SCP: Security Stories folder.
@@Flopamine Yeh I know it's a mod, I can see that. But there are 5 versions on mod db, so that's why I asked what version is it. Also you didn't write what version it is in description, so dont go with "its a mod, just check description" on me. Already checked that. Could tell me you dont remember, then I would understand. However that is no longer important, since I figured it out. The reason for the question was, that I was confused why I play classic gamemode instead of main story. So I went through 3 versions of it, trying to figure it out. All because of the menu selection screen, which I didn't understood quite well at first, but then noticed the top right stats of what I chose. So that's why I asked. Kinda ingenious selection screen imho.
I thought you was asking about the NTF version on steam or sth, and because I didn't get confused when playing this mod like you did so that was a misunderstanding. If I remember correctly, all I did to install this mod was to download the latest version, which is a big file, then download the 2 patch files and apply them to the main game file. gauss rifle is also in crysis and half life lol
