I have one from ebay being delivered tomorrow and I am so excited.
    I love your vib. 😊
I would be interested in any simple, inexpensive recipes with financial climate in mind.
This year in the UK the extr to help with the winter bills have been stopped so as well as expensive cuts of meat, would you please make some dishes that would be for the guest table with cheaper cuts of meat.
My friend can't need bread any more. Know probably not but a no kneed bread recipe would be nice. I mentioned to her I had ordered this and she remembered she had one never used.
    I have ticked and subscribed.
    👏👏👏👏👏🤗🙏⚘

LOL! I got one of these clay pots today and have a sourdough bread for slow proofing in the fridge! Can barely wait for the morning when I will bake it! I understand your excitement! So fun to watch!!

@@AdventuresinEverydayCooking First sourdough bread made in a clay pot turned out very good! Got a really good oven spring probably due to the closed and humid environment the first 20 mins. then a nice brown color the next 20+ mins with the lid off. Yes, I am happy and glad I purchased that Rømertopfen! It is also good for chicken, roasts and other things! Happy days in the kitchen!!

So im new to bread baking and so far I've used a Dutch oven but it sounds by your excitement that clay pots work much better.

You know, now that I am a seasoned bread maker... I should do a side by side test... huh? This is a great idea!

I found a Romertopf brand new, in box still boxed up with instructions and all at a church rummage sale for $10. And it's one of the fancy ones with with the greek images. But I haven't used it yet as it's summer but I'm hoping to make bread this fall. Are you still loving it?

    • @AdventuresinEverydayCooking
      @AdventuresinEverydayCooking  ปีที่แล้ว +2

YES YES!!! I love it still! It's my go to for a lot of things! $10 is great! I actually purchased two more clay pots specifically for sourdough (they are rough Erita brand) and I will never go back to baking bread another way.

Hello and thank you for the video :)
yes, having lived in italy for many years, i've picked up and use some of their terracotta wear. Mine is a round pot, with a 32 cm diameter and a 12 liter capacity. So it's pretty massive, which in turn means that i dont use it as often as i'd like.
But when i use it i mainly make ragu (for pasta dishes for example) or Ribollitta, which is an amazing tuscan kale, beans, potatoe, carrot and bread soup. But maybe, i can see, i should start baking in it as well ,D
But since you have been so kind as to share your cooking experiences and advice, i shall share one as well. :) - Here is a quite good video for the ribollita recipe from a really cool channel, specializing in Tuscan food. subs and the written recipe is available in english too.
It is the season for it right now, and it is a nice and super hearty dish , that also freezes well :) th-cam.com/video/BiQUYTBb6eQ/w-d-xo.html

You are such a delight to watch! Please show some more Romertopf recipes as you use it. We make an amazing roasted chicken in ours. Seriously the best thing to have in our kitchen.

I just bought a used one. I'm not sure about cleaning it! Do I use dish soap, just a brush and water? And when soaking, do you use cold, warm, or hot water? Thanks!!

I use neutral temp tap water! And to wash, I just use water and a scrub brush.

Is the inside of the Romertopf glazed? Does the top sit snuggly on the bottom or does it wobble. I have an oval baker purchased from Breadtopia and the top wobbles badly. I assume this is not good as it would allow precious steam to escape.

    • @LexLuthor1234

i hope the channelowner herself will reply to you, but just looking at it, the bottom looks glazed on the inside, whilst the top look unglazed throughout.
