I moved To DS from Biloxi,MS. in May 2024. I came here In April and put in my application. Paid my app fee and deposit. And got approved very fast. I absolutely love it here. Everybody I have met are very friendly!!!!
I live in the Juban area.. I am 64, and My daughter and her family live near Hammond, And So now I am so much closer to my family. I found a very nice place for ages 55 and up. It’s only a few years old. And very nice apts. I feel very blessed to call Denham Springs My new hometown…. Every thing you said is the truth!!! Now I wish My other children would move here too!!!! Maybe they will someday….
Been a DS native most of my life. Got a lot going on for it. Not bad, but I much prefer my rural areas
Is there flooding?
In certain areas there’s a higher risk for flooding. Lots of Denham were affected with the flood of 2016 but there’s also plenty that stayed high and dry
Lower lying areas like river road closer to the amite river are prone to it during heavy rain, but the 2016 flood, which I was in, was once in a lifetime event and not really a common occurrence
