    I was glad to see your Leatherman saw being put to good use. I used mine just last night to cut a sound hole shaped like Australia!

      An Australia shaped soundhole sounds difficult. But the Super Tool does have a nice saw. In fact, I’m planning on building a travel ukulele with only a Leatherman Super Tool and maybe one drill bit.

      That sounds like all my builds. 😉 I taped a silhouette to the sound board, drilled the outline, then attacked it with the Leatherman saw. I finished it off with needle files.

    That wood you used on the back looks beautiful! I also love the sound of it, the body is definitely a major part of the tone, and the strings, too, sound great!

      Yeah. That cherry wood that I used on the back does look nice. Especially after some Tru-Oil finish.

    2 things:
    1) your guitar keychain tool helped me fix my car today so thanks!
    2) where do you buy your wood? I'm assuming it's not a place like Lowes or Home Depot

    • @CircuitsAndStrings
      @CircuitsAndStrings  5 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      That’s awesome that you were able to use the guitar tool. What did you have to fix?
      I get my special wood from a few places. This cherry was from Rockler. The spruce was from StewMac. I’ll also get some from LMII. Lately I also keep an eye on back and side set on eBay. The last rosewood tenor was from an eBay set. And the back and sides on my acoustic double neck was from an eBay guitar set.

      I had to replace my headlight housings and the tool was the perfect size to help remove the bumper

    I was bidding on a scroll saw on eBay and it got too expensive to buy. Decided to by the same one new and they just upped the price! Guess I gotta wait a bit longer.

    Hi! I bouth the same kit but this will be the very first instrument I build! Would you be so kind as to tell me how to know exactly where to place the bridge? :0

    • @CircuitsAndStrings
      @CircuitsAndStrings  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I installed the near edge of the saddle exactly 20 inches from the inside of the nut. They also sell this template that could be very helpful.
