- After finding a Melanistic Red Fox during a Guided Hunt last week in The Hunter Call of the Wild, I was inspired to hunt for ANOTHER ONE (yes, I know they're ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE to find but you can't find if you don't look)! So, because it was a guided hunt when we found the mela fox, I didn't get to keep it! So I am DETERMINED to find one for my lodge!!! So today we are hunting RED FOX in the New England Mountains for the MELA FOX, one of the rarest rares in The Hunter Call of the Wild! And what happens is COMPLETELY INSANE!!!

The "mid size" 22s, Magnum and Hornet, are pretty popular for turkey and foxes in the south.
I think EW placed need zones all over this map to make it feel more alive. Since the draw distance is small in this game, some maps can feel empty at times. I played Way of the Hunter recently and the only thing I liked was the draw distance. I never felt like I was traveling the map alone!
I had a 9 legendary diamond guarantee red fox. At the time, I wasn’t sure what it exact meant and shot it with the wrong gun. Still disappointed to this day!
I’m from the TN Appalachians, right near the Candy Fork River. This map looks just like home during the fall, including the river. I for one would love to see a GO grind on this map. Also congratulations on the “crazy rare”!!
I've had an albino coyote before but back when I first started the game and didn't know how to taxidermy. This looks like an albino fox?

in my four years of gameplay COTW I have two piebald and one melanistic fox - albino is an unfulfilled dream. BUT when we see an incentive like this, we continue the search ;-) LL as always good work!
I love the rare fur types of foxes I’ve saw them from other Chanel’s but this is the biggest one I’ve seen!

Nice Albino! When shooting two animals at once, it may help to put your blue outline on the one you plan to shoot second and just use the white outline to shoot the first. That way the second one is already lit up when you need to line it up quickly

I remember I shot an albino Red Fox in Nortwestern Hirschfelden 2 weeks into playing COTW. It was even on my friends map who just started that day. We were both absolutely thrilled 😂

Some good shooting there LL! Question, when you're shooting the bear and recommend two shots is that really only applicable to bears or is it advisable to do that for all of the more robust animals as well?
As long as you put one bullet into a vital, one shot is all you need!
Omgawwd! That was beautiful!! I love how passionate you are about finding rares in this game. Been looking since early 2021 for another albino coyote (I have a melanistic one) I wonder how EW actually make this game. It's amazingly realistic! So clever!

I have gotten 1 mella redfox and 2 diamond red foxes all where on yukon
is a piebald harlequin duck rare? I killed a diamond piebald a few weeks back and wasn't sure if it was a super rare.

I think its a perk, but it seems if you look at it longer and have it spotted, it works longer
