Discovered BRT in 2005 when I was 15 or 16. Always been a staple in my collection, in my top 10 of all +500 bands that I cherish and honor to this date, completely unique in all aspects. Like others, this gives me Altered Genesis vibes, brings forth goosebumps. What an absolute masterpiece this album is! Time to plug this beast into my HD800S + tube amp in HQ and do a session.
The new BRT is killer - best one since Altered Genesis according to me. I will always hold the Mr Hustler era as truly "special" for me but the current vocalist is a fuckin' beast. One of the best vocalists I've heard in today's DM scene, actually...absolutely amazing vocals and some surprisingly good lyrics too.

Yet since "Nu Metal" & Metalcore became a thing, people either write "0101" berimbau riffs (thanks Max 🙄), or tonal nice-y melodic ones. Down-tuning the guitars is a crutch, but doesn't actually make things heavy. If you listen to Slayer in the piano, it sounds like a horror film soundtrack, which is what Metal was always supposed to be.

i wish the youtube bitrate was higher, cant hear much of the nuances in the guitar playing, which makes it even heavier/darker sounding. love love love this album!!
