I wish this video would have been the first one to pop up in my search, I spend almost an hour cussing and nearly breaking the blinds until I found this video. Thank you greatly!
Hi there, I have blind 3, the bracket that controls the chord to go up and down has snapped...I can pull the blind up but not bring it down unless I manually hold the wheel up so the chain can be release to come down. Do you have any suggestions what this part is called and where could I buy one. It's a beautiful block out blind to good to throw away
Do the four types have 'names'? Mine is the 2nd type you show but my issue is that the blind in not retracting (going up) as it's very old and sounds as if it has ball bearings inside..it doesn't have a chain, it's on an inertia type retraction? Can you offer me any advice please? I don't want plastic fittings as these crack after a short time due to the window facing South and it gets hot.
Really useful video thank you. Mine was the fourth one. Now I am completely confused about how to put them back up again. None of the bits seem to fit. Would you have any advice? I would be so grateful.
If you have a look at the video , you will notice that the end you release from has a pin that pushes into a hole at the end of the blind . Once you pushed the pin into the end of the blind have a look at the bracket at the release end , you will notice it is set up so the flat end of the pin can slide into it and click into place . Line up the chain end ad then slide the release end into the bracket , it should the click inot place .
Many thanks for the video. I've looked at a few videos to date and the process didn't work. Your last Roller Blind was the one I needed. Great to see all the options in a row. Helps you decide which version you have. :)
Thanks so much, this was such a helpful video and saved us from some sleepless nights! It was so clearly explained and very generous of you to share your expertise.
Great video covering many bases thanks. Mine is the first one (i think). I say "think" because mine seems to have a pin just like in the video, and also a smaller pin inside the main pin, but when I turn the cog wheel, ONLY the outer pin retracts and the inner pin remains and I cant remove the blind at all. I am thinking maybe the inner pin is meant to be attached to the larger pin so it all retracts together. Any ideas?
now come on over to my house....and help me because i cant get the cover over the blind off to get to it😊 ..they are cassette valance motorised solar blinds...and i cant get the cover over the roller off...
Excellent video. Clearly demonstrated and straight to the point. Definitely saved me breaking something.
Removing the blind had turned into mission impossible before this video! A HUGE thanks 🇬🇧

TH-cam listened to your feedback because it was the first one for me
Thanks so much. I’ve watched so many videos and none of them told me the right information about my type of blind
Thank you so much . After 1 hour struggle the blind came off in 1 second after I watch the clip.
I had to watch 6 useless videos before I found yours with the right type for me. Thank you!
I spent a hour trying to figure this out and the answer is 30sends in your video. Thanks for saving me mate
This video saved me!!! Every other tutorial on roller blind removal only had instructions for the first type. Mine was the third!!
Same here! Thank you 😊
Do you know the name of the third type please ?
What’s the third type of blind called?
Thank you I have been struggling for a week to try and figure out how to get mine down

I commented on your "How to for Venetian Blinds" which was really great. Again thank you for this tutorial as well. It really helped. Top job...

Big help wasted time trying to figure it out myself before this quick and to the point video helped me out thanks mate.
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! This video did the trick after watching a number of other videos that weren't my blind type. Thank you so much!
Thanks for posting video. Mine was option 4. Very helpful video that wastes no time getting to the point.
Many thanks for the video. I've looked at a few videos to date and the process didn't work. Your last Roller Blind was the one I needed. Great to see all the options in a row. Helps you decide which version you have. :)
This video is great! Saved me a repair/service call.
Thanks for this video. I was nearly at the point of damaging the blind out of frustration 😂

Great advice. Mine was the fourth type. So simple when you know how
I've got the 3rd type, still can't get it off. It lifts and pulls back slightly, but not enough to get off
Mine has one end that you can push in. Put it won't budge.
