As a huge Saosin fan, I just want to say you're going to be sorely missed by me. I know you're on to bigger better things, but your style of playing was a huge part of that band. my favorite memory was when you guys were touring with UØ and Tim was home sick so you stepped up and played their whole set as a stand in. My two favorite bands and you blended them together. So awesome.
I was a poor boy, I struggled to go to school, struggled with myself, my father did what he could for my family. I was always wondering why does this happen to us? Then one day, one of my friend lent me his psp, and I discovered this song while playing MX VS Atv. I don't know why because I could understand the lyrics and the meaning of the song even though i was 7 years old and not speaking english. I could recognize myself in this music. You guys gave me hope. I'm so thankful for what you did. May God bless you guys😇🙏🏼
Justin. Thank you for your inspirational riff in Saosin back then. You are filling the gap in that band, we miss you in saosin. Will wait for you to come back and reunion
I think he became a full time member but i'm not sure, i heard he was working in other projects, so couldn't find the time to be in Saosin, which is quite a shame but oh well. Their former singer Cove is from my area in California, which is pretty cool lol
@@ColonelCampbellAI2024 They aren't that good. Seriously, Soasin is a lolcow of a band. Justin clearly had the most technical proficiency. And Anthony Green should have just ended it all after rejoining.
@@ColonelCampbellAI2024 Disrespectful? Maybe. False? Nope. Justin was the most talented person in the band, hands down. The drummer was great too, can't say the same for the rest.
This song is amazingly fun to play. You play the guitar extremely well Justin. Love that Ibanez too. Gonna get me a RG prestige some day for sure. Keep rockin Saosin! You guys are amazing!
Just after 9:30 look over his right shoulder (picking hand side)...nice little ghostly orb there lol...for those who believe that is. Nice quick tutorial brotha! Miss you guys! Keep the dream alive!
After hearing great songs from three different front men I have come to realize that justin and beau have a huge impact on the band. chris and alex too:)
this is great, ive been trying to learn this for too long, i almost gave up... till i found this. can you please make a video on how to play the instrumental version of its far better to learn.. by far my favorite song ever
He's using a $2400 unit, so best of luck getting his tone. Your best bet is just cranking the gain with the bass at 6, the mids at 7 and the treble at 7.
Thanks. I will try it with my broomstick when I get to shower in the evening...just kidding. "Very simple and very useful" video, just like you said it.
There's nothing cooler then a band member playing the song he created. dude your awesome.
+Pain couldnt agree more
Definitely 😏🤘

Around 2008 right? I was at that tour in SF...so sick.
I don’t under why they didn’t give you a Grammy for this awesome song, glad to have found it on burnout paradise

yo bro how are you nowadays?
Justin was definitely a full decade ahead of his peers with his lessons. still love these videos to this day can always improve. great content.
ive been playing 5 years and i took a few monthes break and now this is tricky. saosin riffs are tricky
its awesome that this guy actually takes the time to personally teach people how to play the songs he plays. Thank you
Justin. Thank you for your inspirational riff in Saosin back then. You are filling the gap in that band, we miss you in saosin. Will wait for you to come back and reunion
My God, i watch this in 2016.
I'm a huge fan of Saosin
+Aditya Mukti - He left Saosin to join the Used about a year ago.
***** really? how about anthony green? he comes back to saosin but justin then left
Yes Anthony Green is officially back in the band, they have a new album coming out this year, i believe their first single was released a week ago.
so whether justin move to The Used as tour member or totally move and leave Saosin?
I think he became a full time member but i'm not sure, i heard he was working in other projects, so couldn't find the time to be in Saosin, which is quite a shame but oh well. Their former singer Cove is from my area in California, which is pretty cool lol
God 10:57 -11:05 sounds so majestic
Missing this dude in SAOSIN. He was the real talent of the band. You're 1 of the best guitarist from 2000s era, Justin!🤘🎸🖤🎵
Considering the pleasant skill of all the members, that seems vaguely disrespectful.
Col Campbell AI 2024 she was kissing ass in hopes of attention

R u indonesian?
@@ColonelCampbellAI2024 Disrespectful? Maybe.
False? Nope.
Justin was the most talented person in the band, hands down. The drummer was great too, can't say the same for the rest.
I wish more artists would do this. I love it when people share their music for all to enjoy!
one of the very best and most inspiring musicians - on and off stage - to me!!!!!!!
Not only Justin, the whole band is underrated.
Legendary riff
What I like in this genre is the variety and technicality of riffs in a single verse of song,
I met Justin in 2006 at a show in NYC before they got on their tour bus. Nicest guy ive ever met.
he's a very under rated player. he's extremely talented
please come back to saosin
Really amazing that you would take the time to make such a video, RESPECT!
Justin, you're a legend. Wish we could hear from you.
Hardest song I've ever tried to learn! Thank You!!!
i miss this guy.. and that crazy alex wish u have a channel to kept us updated
I don't know anything about playing guitar but its a blast to watch you play. Keep rocking dude.
Time flies, but I still love this video and also love Saosin
This song is amazingly fun to play. You play the guitar extremely well Justin. Love that Ibanez too. Gonna get me a RG prestige some day for sure.

Probably this is the coolest song of then along with bury your head
one of the best 12mins of my life
I love this song on MX vs ATV untamed ps2
nostalgia
It was on PS2?!
So stoked about this video! Been writing out of inspiration from this record recently!
Come back to saosin sir!! anthony green and sound of guitar from you is very match.. come on!!
2011, wow, I´m old. Great editing, btw!
you rock! saosin is my idol band since i was 10.. i like the music trend of u guys... :D
One of the best songs ever
no days without saosin .\m/.
I think justin's hooks are what turned me on to the band the most, that and cove's ridiculous vocal range :)!!!!!!!!
Same here brutha
Love this, so nice 🔥🔥🔥
Love the riffs! You guys rock.
I really hope you read this. Get Alex on here to show us the drums too. That would be super awesome
haha I just noticed that Justin's guitar says "Listen to Bill Hicks." Haha I am a huge Bill Hicks fan and seeing that on his guitar made my day.
Awesome stuff Justin!
Follow and Feel is definitely my favorite song by them
beautiful set up by the way
thats really amazing. great video.
After hearing great songs from three different front men I have come to realize that justin and beau have a huge impact on the band. chris and alex too:)
2022.. still a fan of Saosin..
2024, just saw Saosin last week! Still my favorite band!
wow major props justin, thanks a lot.
At 8:25 are those pinch harmonics on the 7th fret 2nd string and the following notes?
No, all natural harmonics. :)
+justin shekoski Thanks! A friend of mine just showed me how those work. :D
justin shekoski Who was the bass player in saosin and i would like some bass lessons on collapse
more lessons, please? I request "its far better to learn" (mostly for the intro/verse riff - for your and beau's parts) please? 😊
Can I get your Silverburst ?? and its amazing how you gave Skype lessons 10 years ago and its relevant today as a mainstay.
damn this guy is good.
you are an incredible guitarist :)
time to re-learn the song the right way now...thnx sooo much
this is great, ive been trying to learn this for too long, i almost gave up... till i found this.
can you please make a video on how to play the instrumental version of its far better to learn.. by far my favorite song ever
Hey from Indonesian sir 👌🏾🇮🇩
Hey hey!
This vid came out 9 years ago this dude was ahead of the game using a axe fx
I hope this dude gets the help he needs
what happened to him exactly? I genuinely don't know.
OMG Beau should post lessons as well!!! And you should BOTH do a 'Voices' lesson as well... together. :D
What is a little tail on the second part of the intro before the walk up
I don't need Saosin now! I just want to listen how Justin is playing his guitar. His hands are dancing! I'm in love... xD
also, the chorus harmonics are very similar to that of the chorus their song Seven Years
love how you set your delay, any tips or settings you can share?
Thanks man this is awesome :) now I can play collapse off by heart :)
Why you left saosin.. I really miss show you
you guys NEED to start playing shows again. Come to Maryland!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! play at warped tour next year!!!!!!!!!!
Any other songs with riffs that has a groove like this?
The brief moment at 11:02 where the harmony is heard without the loud (nonetheless impressive) drum part is pretty awesome.
And now i'm watching in 2024..
FC From Thailand ❤
please do one for "it's far better to learn"
In OKC, I hear it a lot. Their genre isn't, 'popular' or 'accepted'. It's mainly rapper's, R&B, and Country, that are listened to, here.
@SweetAngie143 What you're looking for is a 5 on the G string.
Thank for tutorial 😍
2023 move to 2024 , im always u'r fans from indonesia dude ♥️ , not saosin but its you.. yeah im fans justin
Will you make a 'how to do a guitar spin' tutorial? (:
@Sum41kills it's an Ibanez RG. Probably the 350MZ model :D
Never seen a band do this, really cool. Is there any reason you guys blocked all your tabs on ultimate guitar though? :[
I’m really trying to learn this but it seems he s missing a note at 3:40?? (Like added without telling us
I have never heard someone say that Saosin wasn't talented...
Good shit Justin.
I nearly cried watching this =']
TTHANK YOU SO MUCHHH!
Does anyone know how im suppose to make the amplifier sound? i just cant get the same sound
does he still do lesson?
What make and model is he rocking in this video?
He's using a $2400 unit, so best of luck getting his tone. Your best bet is just cranking the gain with the bass at 6, the mids at 7 and the treble at 7.
Thanks. I will try it with my broomstick when I get to shower in the evening...just kidding. "Very simple and very useful" video, just like you said it.
what song that the video played at the ending?
anyone can tell me what gear he has in that rack? I know 1 is a mesa amp and the other a line 6 unit and also a fractial.. whats the others?
Good song choice!
Where did this style go? 😭😭😭
To the 2000's.. I miss it too
What's the ending song?
The song's name is move slow. If you're still interested th-cam.com/video/FMN72Brl-g4/w-d-xo.htmlsi=8ucR8fa6-_PSx7ov
Justin will always be the better of the two guitarists. At least he was there for the Saosin reunion.
what effects are being used?
this is so fucking cool
Hey Justin! What kind if pickups do you use??
Is alex going to do lessons? Or Skype and stuff?
Does his guitar say "Listen To Bill Hicks" ?
Yeah it does
all but I Never Wanted To which is in Drop C and Bury Your Head which is in Db Standard
