For those who don't want a terminal thing to deal with and prefer a GUI option. ...Gnome-system-monitor is your friend. It's more closely related to Windows Task manager in a context.

Installing linux-image-liquorix-amd64 now.. Hopefully it'll give some positive output. Actually got this same problem on windows 10 too. Thought switching on linux distr will fix everything for me but unfortunately it didnt. And yeah, thanks for the video

hello is there any way to force a process running just to use the second core, not the first of the cpu

Yes there is a way to achieve this. It’s called cpu mask affinity

if you just would come to the point, it would be so easy. The main culprit is, that most distros do install snap packages for Firefox and others. THAT`S what impacts the cpu usage, because the operating system has to unpack the snaps prior to use a naked binary! Everything else stated above is kind of tinkering with the wrong cause!

Interesting. I assume you have a decent GPU? Or just integrated graphics?

thats correct, because Firefox or Others do not "come" with Hardware Decoding due to driver license issues (vapi oder vdpau)! This persists for ages and is not fixed proberly because even nouveau-driver does not fit proberly with integrated graphics but proprietary ones! It drives me nuts!
