It gets hard to know as an outsider what is true to the culture under Chinese occupation if that is the context for this video because the emphasis may be more on pleasing a certain crowd than dancing for oneselves, and as an outsider i am not in a position to know. Although i have met some cool Tibetans in Australia including singer Tenzin Choegyal. i am actually a bit cautious about whether folk performing the dances are even definitely Tibetan. No offence to the dancers in this case, i simply don't know. It's Tibetan tradition i want to support, not a simulacrum of it, so i appreciate what you pointed out. i wouldn't know about the butt, but i think i know what you mean about the speed.
TIPA, Lhamo Association Nepal, Gangjong Doekar, Thangtong Lukar are professional artists and there many non Institutional dancers who dance during occasions.
