I just took delivery of my new ‘21 Road King Special a few weeks ago and the first thing I ordered were those same drop guards featured here. I do a lot of police rodeo type training and I can tell you these are the best guards on the market today. I often drop my bike while training and these guards give me the confidence to focus on training and not fear damaging my bike.

Good job Robert. I just got a 21 roadglide limited. Coming off a 17 ultra limited. I am getting used to the motorcycle, learning to turn it better. It does feel very nimble once you get it going. I do feel like my turning radius is larger. But I'm working on it. My wife says I can turn it quicker, still in the break in period.
UPDATE! I installed the Drop Guards a week after this video was published. I practice exercise 4 and infamous u turns and figure 8s everytime I go out. I am now the boss of my motorcycle. I've gotten used to full "lock" forks in both directions making turns during practice. Last night I was practicing right hand tight circles and as I was learning how well to lean and really maintaining that feeling, I dropped the bike on the right side. I kept my foot on the floorboards, didn't have a death grip on my handlebars and the bike simply laid down and it slid for a few inches. I lifted up the bike simply and this morning on inspection AM SO EXCITED TO REPORT that THE ONLY IMPACT WAS INDEED THE DROP GUARDS ON FRONT AND BACK. BEST PERFORMING WELL INSTALLED PRODUCT I'VE EVER EXPERIENCED. I DON'T WORRY ABOUT DROPPING GIVEN MY CONFIDENCE AND PRACTICE BUT THIS WAS THE FIRST TIME I SAW IT IN ACTION. THANK YOU ROBERT! PRELOAD AND KEEP IT LOADED!
My 2018 Heritage had the engine guard when I purchased it. It didn't have the saddlebag guards and I wasn't gonna buy them. Then I found out the saddlebags cost $650.00 each plus tax & shipping. I bought the saddlebag guards, $150.00! :-)
The “chrome” drop guards are polished stainless steel. If you drop the motorcycle and scratch them, you can sand and polish them back to the original finish.
Robert. When picking the bike up from the left side, try turning the bars to the right lock. This moves the front wheel contact point more under the centre of gravity.
Thank You for the "Aruba Lift" , it works easy. Dropped my V Stromo a few times with difficult lifting until now, once on the way to the Shroud of Turin Museum in Alamogordo where I hit my knee , Pete the Curator was on the team that went to Turin in the '70's and showed me how they pulled soil&pollen samples off the Tablecloth from 1st Century Jerusalem, made my pain real but minor in relation , Peace3ed

I didn’t get the drop guards for my 2019 RK. My husband recently passed away and I lost all confidence in riding and dropped it on a slow turn. Just a small scuff on the engine guard underneath. I made the decision to trade it and get a 2021 RK. Rest assured the guards will be ordered.
I bought the drop guards to specifically protect my lowers and saddle bags (mine are stretched on my '19 SG CVO), so I'm bummed to see that my lowers are still exposed to being damaged.
It would be worse on the lowers without them. I was told to adjust the way I have them installed and the lowers won’t touch the ground. I’m going to give that a try. 👍🏾
Hey Robert, I have drop guards on my bike and they are the best thing if you do slow skill work and jay has a awesome product. The lowers do touch just a little. Nice thing to add to protect them and I think it looks great is Black auto door edge trim. Not sure how to upload a picture of my bike showing it
Thank you for another informative video. After your Drop Guards install video on Angel, I ordered and installed the gloss black on my ‘19 CVO SG. They do just kind of blend in and provide a little better piece of mind. One observation with the install on Violet. I could be wrong, but it looks like you reversed the curve direction on the installed saddle bag drop guards. Was that intentional? I have mine mounted the same way you did on Angel and it appears to conform to the curve of the saddle bag guard better. My Drop Guards did not come with instructions, so I had to experiment with the saddle bag guards to figure out the best direction to install them so they matched the curve.
Robert, I have been watching your videos and I am a subscriber to your channel. Love your content and it's very informative. I recently had an uh oh moment at a gas station and had a Brain fart, didn't put the kick stand down. I'll be buying the drop guards soon. I know this is an old video and you just got Violet back, but it looks like your saddlebag guards are on the wrong sides. I could just be imagining it, but it looks like the curve is going the wrong way. Could be entirely wrong, but when you did your close up, it looked like it was high and curving the opposite direction of the bar.
