For people who say this isn't actual dance, it's only because this is a technical skill exam. The kids are being tested on their flexibility and specific moves, not on their overall dancing - Akin to doing soccer drills rather than actually playing a soccer game. Also, this isn't for ballet...this is for classical Chinese dance. That's why there are aerials and different elements one would not see in ballet.
I had a friend from China who could do the splits in all sorts of different directions... she told me she took ballet in China and I just though “how intense could it be?” And now I’m here on this video, shitting my pants
Skating Lessons the flexibility and amount of videos I've watched I could've gotten this flexoble is killing me ( btw I got my middle splits last week!)
its not acrobatic ballet either im a Chinese dancer and that is the flexibility requirements before we start dancing we have 4 years of flexibility practice in dance academy before we even start ballet this is just basic technique required
EvelynPotter #Coffeeandash But these kids don't have a childhood. These kids are psychology abused (or as my mom would say, being encouraged). That's just how it is in China, it's all or nothing. You either go the tradition route of books, or you go to an athletics academy or you become a disappointment.
"psychological abused" is personal opinion and subjective. You know Jackie Chan and Sam Moo from Hong Kong, they have gone through the same kind of training when they are young according to one of their movie. You can say that they have been physical and psychological abused. In your life, there is always give and take. You can not have them all. They may not have a childhood but a lot of them have a bright future. I am not promoting this kind of hardship should be part of my own children's life. I only have a lot of respect to those kids.
This is actually Chinese traditional dance practice as well as practice for Chinese MINZU dancing which is dance froms from many ethnic minorities. It requires a lot of flexibility as well as having acrobatic tendencies. These children are actually the standard :) But I agree, every dancer is amazing.
@@magou_0128 Standard for a dance SCHOOL, not a dance CLASS. I guarantee if you danced 5 hours a day since you were a kid, you'd be able to do these things too. Not to mention, these kids had to have some potential to be admitted to these types of programs and for parents to think sending them there is worth it.
Nefertiti Lmao they have other means of watching other shows, even not from youtube. And they have their social media platforms that even some other people use, that aren't from China.
Arina Nam Jin Kim I’d say the same thing if it was a bunch of little American girls in the same exact clothing with the same exact hair doing the same exact drills almost right down to the T. /).- it’s about more than just the race.
And then there's me an inch away from splits and being like if I get my splits that would be the best thing ever - turns out it wouldn't, for that I would need all three oversplits and an incredibly flexible back
I already achieved my splits. To be honest, it didn't take me that long. What I'm talking about is my side splits. I still can't achieve the front one even though it's been 7 years of dancing for me.
Juliette Davies All I have is an over split in my right leg... I don't even know how I managed that, because I want to die when I stretch for left and center. 😂
And then you remember Victoria, Jia, chengxiao, winwin and jungjung have all been trained in China dance schools.. Its not a surprise at all that so many chinese kpop idols are so flexible
as a professional dancer that has danced for the some biggest artists and most esteemed dancers of our time, i would have failed this exam lol. with that said, kudos! ya'll better twirl.
April Peeples you most definitely could if you started at like 4 years old. Also you can reach flexibility similar to theirs if you dedicate from now on, especially before puberty sets in.
Pancake Noodles it depends what you intend to do and what your goals are I'd you want to have fun and be flexible then yes she is just a number. If you intend on competing professionally then... Sorry but age matters. It's not like expect a 60 year old to be as good as a 13 year old who has been doing it for the same amount of years.
Maria Sindile - everyone has natural limitations even in kids. Sure, flexibility can be improved, but genetics plays a role as well even in kids (based on what I read).
these kids must train for many hours a week. their control is insane. I've been dancing for 14 years and I can't picture myself doing half the things they just did.
Creative Cookie lol that's true (I'm just going to say this but I'm 11 too) @Rezwana Hossain I'm 11 too but I could probably be able to do that if I keep my flexibility in the future since I am Chinese in a class taught by Chinese born and raised teachers
This is amazing. My 4 yr old daughter just started learning chinese folk dance here in New York, USA and the training is intense. I hope she can be as good as these girls one day.
Don’t put too much pressure on her. Coming from an ex-dancer that trained 4 days a week 4 hours each. Dancing can put a lot of strain and stress both on the mind and the muscles. Also getting to this level isn’t only done with skill but also with intense dieting and muscle and flexibility training.
China maybe wasn't the strictest county, but china's education is the strictest in the world. Believe me, you can go search about Gaokao, and you'll know what I mean...

Literally just watch this in awe and amazement. These students are really skilled, will love to meet their trainers/ teachers/ dance instructors. They also need credits my friend.
It's so synchronised i swear its just one person video edited. Their flexibility is insane, but the music is very technical and takes all the enjoyment and passion out of the dance.
I'm not trying to be a hater, but because I am Chinese and I did dance there so I believe I have the right to say that, the way that they teach people is efficient, but it will make people who started because they like dancing, dislike dancing
Damn...I wish my child had this acro class offered at her studio...this is essential skills to have as a dancer...their control and condition is sick!!!!
If every dancer did this type of training when they go back to the school they were in originally they would be so flexible and be hated by the other jealous dancers
I did traditional Chinese dance for five years when I was little. It was not nearly intense as this as I was learning it as more of a hobby than training to be a professional. Even then the flexibility excersizes were insane. I had troubles doing splits so my teacher will stand on me(a nine year old) and use her entire body weight to force the split to happen. We also did our splits with one leg on a chair, which is pretty much half our height at that point. Unfortunately I am so naturally not flexible so by the time I got to level 8 exams(there are 13 levels) I was kinda kicked out of dance bc I wouldn’t be able to pass further levels without being able to do all the splits. Oxana Yakhanova так он/она написал что это не балетные движения..
Thanks for the explanations, I was just wondering if they really practiced classical dance ^^'
But why are they in pointe shoes? If that's not ballet
Leyla Rustamova I don’t believe they are wearing pointe shoes
my spinal cord was broken after watching this
Belle Jacinto 😂😂😂😂😂😂🤸🏾♀️🤸🏾♀️🤸🏾♀️

Régine J just imagine old ladies with terrible attitude👍
Régine J dance teachers are always old ladys because of the experience... so i dont think they can do much nowadays haha
I remember my gymnastics coach (she's sort of old now) tried to do a cartwheel and then failed and screamed "MY ARTHRITIS"
Wth GC HAHAHAHAH OH MY GOD
Teachers usually arnt as good as the students at least at their current age. You don't have to be able to do the exact thing to teach it
.. my final exams suddenly feel pretty easy
No One ikr
No One hi 👋 ARMY 🌝

this is the dance-equivalent to staring at a word for so long that it isn't a word anymore
its not acrobatic ballet either im a Chinese dancer and that is the flexibility requirements before we start dancing we have 4 years of flexibility practice in dance academy before we even start ballet this is just basic technique required
'just basic technique' i'm somehow ashamed of myself now😅
How is this basic
Tfuq how is dis basic? I can’t even reach my toes. Lol but wow....I feel ashamed cuz im not Chinese enough.
Chumamabangedchupapa I’m sorry you can never be Chinese and we don't want you... And y'all should know that Chinese don't only live in China
The rudiments of dancing before they actually start classical ballet
I think those flexible guys in American got talent show, means nothing comparing to these 11yr olds.
omg yes like they say the kids in got talent are good... thats far away from this

Unimaginable.
Lauren Gibbs c’est sur !!!!

as a dancer i can 100% assure you that these girls are covered head to toe in bruises 24/7
Dancers or sychronized contortionists?
Olivia JJL dancers I believe that are studying Chinese traditional dance and i think this is some sort of a technical exam on their flexibility
Kat _HJ this person was not asking a question lol they are just saying those girls are very synchronized
Olivia JJL in china this may be their way of dancing, every culture is different
Both.
Lee MAya because they are also going in time with the music lmao
dancing exam military grade....
I dance for the Royal ballet in Copenhagen and even I feel a little scared and intimidated 😂😂 like are you sure this isnt military training

You're welcome Creative Cookie!! I just realized but both of our names' initials are C.C.
The only thing I can do is the standing up part
They are so synchronized, it almost looks scary!
dayum jeez, flexibility goals....lmao the girl right smack in the fronts always a bit off XD
Christine Kwan 關嘉欣 probably since she can't see everyone, so her timings off. she was still insanly great though :D
or she's in the front cuz she the only one on count and everyone else a bit off
Christine Kwan 關嘉欣 Or maybe she's the only one on
Anthony Dee I was thinking the same...maybe she's the only one on the right count🤔

Beautiful, powerful, synchronized... im in complete awe..
Took me a good 3 minutes to realize that these were children.
How tf do they remember all this

When girls say they're unique and different from other girls😂😭
That's basically a fast yoga program.....and acrobacy. ..amazingly well done.
I've seen some flexible ass people but this is just-
Literally just watch this in awe and amazement. These students are really skilled, will love to meet their trainers/ teachers/ dance instructors. They also need credits my friend.
To agree with 101kittykoo, this is the basics that Chinese dancers need in order to dance. This is just purely technique.
This is crazy beautiful! The amount of dedication put into this!
Imagine all the hardworks and the pain 👏👏👏👏👏
I swear I saw my old math equations watching this
man i wish i was as flexible as them :(((
v a l you'll get there if you work hard enough 👍
Are they aliens? 😊 👏
As difficult as this looks, this would honestly be a dream to learn how to do. They're posture is so beautiful.
More like a gymnastics school than a dance school
this is so synchronized and the arrangement is so in line lol oml
Time to go stretch....
THEY ARE TOO FLEXIBLE!!
All I can do is splits, and cartwheel 😂😂😂😂😂
Dance is not just about flexibility it’s also about dancing and art
BadHairLife duh, which is why this is simply a technical exam. they are training for chinese classical dance which is literally the epitome of art.
hmm yes ur right, dancing is about dancing very wise words
It's so synchronised i swear its just one person video edited. Their flexibility is insane, but the music is very technical and takes all the enjoyment and passion out of the dance.
I mean it’s just a technical exam, not a dance performance so enjoyment and passion is not really the point

Lol, these kids are so lucky, most asian parents would not even let them dance they would be like "NO YOU ARE GOING TO BE A LAYWER OR DOCTER"
If every dancer did this type of training when they go back to the school they were in originally they would be so flexible and be hated by the other jealous dancers
Those kids were doing awesome.. While I am here only scrolling and watching videos on TH-cam.
It’s just their dance style if they saw like my dance style they would find it hard cause they have only trained in this style c
It is so fantastic and crazily hard job! No comment! Bravoooooo!!!
China is intense man, in my ballet class I fall and laugh and talk over my teacher about 50% of the time😂
*Cries in "I dance but clearly my flexibility is trash"
Is that the Beijing dance academy? What the fuck they were do flexible!
no
Vincent Wong
They're pretty standard, in Chinese expectations that is...
Just imagining that karate flip spilt hit in the air! Holy shit I will die from that kick in a intense way.😂😂😂
This isnt a dance school final exam rather than an acrobatics school. Most Asian dance schools teach Vaganova, and rarely RAD
I wish all schools did this, think about how flexible and skinny we would all be
I hope nobody fail
I did traditional Chinese dance for five years when I was little. It was not nearly intense as this as I was learning it as more of a hobby than training to be a professional.
