I also made it,it was superb,but i just added 1/2 tsp of baking powder, thereby a little fermented taste persisted, but the overall item was awsome.I added lemon juice just before the thickening of sugar syrup thereby it took more time to thicken sugar syrup.It was far better than the gulab jamun made by the instant mix which is available. It was yummy. Thanks veenechi, actually i hate to cook because of the premonition that whatever I do is gonna b worthless, even if it's been a long time I entered kitchen,all of ur tips are so worth it.

Made this yesterday.. came out really well.. added 1.75 cups of sugar for syrup.. I used amul milk powder and needed only 1.5 tbsp of milk .. thank u for the simple recipe.. jamuns came out really soft
