Morning Alex, loved your sew along. When I’m sewing I have my garment facing the way you do. I find it easier to keep track of the extra fabric, so you don’t accidentally catch it underneath. Hopefully I’m explaining what I mean. Oh yes some major machine envy happening. Thank you so much for sharing and have a fabulous day. Val ❤️🇨🇦🇬🇧
Thank you Val 😊 I tend to sew wrong side up (and from the widest to the narrowest point and smaller piece up/inside) because the only proper course I had was for industrial sewing, but I think there's as many ways as there are people 😊 Whatever works best and makes us happy is the 'correct' way 😁 I'd probably be the most lenient teacher ever 😉 x
Wow 🤩 that was a fast make. I’m so slow with a hundred pins 🙄😂. I’ve just had a cover stitch and found your channel in really enjoying it thank you 🥰 B🐝x
Thank you 😊 I move fast, I'm hyperactive (and pins are definitely not safe for me 🤣), but it is a good, relatively quick make (it probably takes under 2 hours even for someone who likes sewing slowly) x
I think that's about the right amount of time 😁 you can enjoy it enough but not get too bored or tired 😊 I like to make some projects last (though I do move rather fast 🤣)
I love the little t-shirt that you made and the fabric is just gorgeous too. I can't get over how quiet your overlocker is, my little Brother one is so noisy
Thank you Allison ♥️ and yes, it's my quietest machine (and I tend to buy quieter ones anyway), it is such a relief after some domestic overlockers (I actually have a brother overlocker, too 😘) it's pretty amazing, especially as it's a big, powerful beast 😁😁😁x
@@GingerheadCo I hope that it is easy to thread, I have a 30 year old Baby Lock and it is so hard to thread and to get needles for it and the needles are expensive too, so I cracked it and Spotlight had 50% off all Brother sewing machines so I just got that and I am happy with it. One day I will get the Juki 1000 that threads itself
@@Allycat3270 it's very difficult to thread 🤣🤣🤣 industrial machines are generally more difficult to thread 🤣 but so far I'm managing 😉 I'd keep the 30 yo babylock, if you have it serviced it will work 30 more years (at least), they were made to last. I love old babylocks 🤓🤓🤓
I had never thought I needed a cover stitch machine before, though I admired the look, this up close camera is very inspiring! I have NO space for another machine😢
Haha, I'm a bad influence! I don't think you need a coverstitch (though whether you want it is another matter 🤣) you can use your decorative stitches to do all the topstitching - even a zigzag looks nice 😁 I love machines, but I think people can create the most beautiful things with a basic machine (as long as it's got a good quality straight stitch 😊) x
Oooh a sew-along! Very well done! 👏👏👏 It was fun to watch you sew, for some reason. You're very meticulous! Is this your first people garment sew-along? Was fun, thanks ... you made it look SO easy haha. 💚💚💚
Thank you Jan 😊 I've made quite a few sew alongs for humans, although most are for self drafted patterns 😊 or hacks of patterns (even this one is slightly hacked 🤣) x
@@GingerheadCo Now you mention it, I do recall a t-shirt for HedgeHubby (and matching for Brian?) ... I guess I don't completely sleep thru life! Just mostly ... 😹😹😹
@@janmiller1850 no worries Jan 😘 I don't expect you to watch or remember everything I do 🤣🤣🤣 and the other videos are always meant to be more general (not pattern specific, more for how to use the coverstitch for various patterns and so on) 😊x
Bonjour Alex! Fantastic tutorial as usual looking very good this shirt and easy, love the way you use your coverstitch! Have a beautiful evening! Christine 🇨🇦
That's a nice tee shirt but I think that Juki is the star of the show 😂
The juki is ALWAYS the star of the show 🤣🤣🤣 for a person who claims not to be brand loyal I have a lot of juki machines 🤣😳
I didn’t know I needed a cover stitch machine in my life so badly lol xx
I have been told I'm a bad influence 🤣🤣🤣 (nobody really NEEDS a coverstitch, we just want them 🤣🤣🤣) x
Excellent sewalong. I have serious overlocker envy!!
Thank you Kathie 😊 you're as bad as me with machines 🤣 x
@@GingerheadCo I aspire to be as bad as you, Alex!! 😁🤣

I’m loving the fabric of the Tshirt 💐 great little sew-along thanks for sharing 😁 x
Thank you Michelle 😊

Excellent sew along, Alex! The t-shirt is so cute and I love the chain stitch detail on the cuffs.
Thank you Laura ♥️♥️♥️

Gingerhead & Co yes I usually take about one and a half to two hours according to how well behaved the fabric is. 😀

I think it can be made in under an hour (no rushing or stressing) 😁
Hi Alex. Nice t-shirt. Thank you for sharing 👚❤️
Thank you 😊
Love your enthusiasm. Could you hold things still for five seconds, in front of the camera, so we see the detail.
Will do 😊
