The hunt is real! I spend hours and hours each week, combing through thrift stores, estate sales, auctions & flea markets ... to bring home the goods and prepare them for selling in my Ebay store, and on Facebook Marketplace, which fully supports me.

Just bought the lovely peasant blouse & it came beautifully packaged! You inspired me to start selling in Jan. I've only sold 25 items on combined platforms, slow start but I work full time too. I believe strongly that that is a hanging lamp. The scalloped edges would allow too much dust to get in were it the other way.

It makes me happy to see new love! Especially having met in person and not online,and also prioritizing financial goals,as opposed to REALLY EXPENSIVE weddings, you know. I am almost 62. The money i see friends spending on their children's weddings is almost hard to hear. All i can think about is what a great investment that would have been towards a home... on the other hand, unable to have children, who knows what I'd do for mine. Much like my mother, I'd likely do the food and decorations myself... I have quite the spread. Thanks Mom❤...and Dad❤, for your talent and direction... I wonder if the that style of wood picture frames originated in Germany. I found many antique carved frames when haunting the flea markets and sales. Maybe Black Forest origins?
Karen, love the show and tell. Your basket in the kitchen is the style that I love....looks cure sitting on the floor. Hard to work and have peace with all the building etc....totally agree with having a dishwasher. I am going on 5 years without one and hate it!!! Love to have my items sanitized. I worked in theatre as a hobby for many many years. The first show I ever set dressed (interior decorate the set ) I had a small framed picture of myself and a friend. It was my good luck charm - I used it on every set i ever dressed, be it in color or black and white . Your story warmed my heart - I miss those salad days …. Love the lovebirds 🩷💚

For shipping your ceramics items, try going over most of the surfaces of them with blue or green painter's tape before double boxing them.

Packing glass is my favorite! First wrap the glass in paper then bubble wrap. Leave no room for movement! Tuck paper and bubble wrap..again no room for movement!! NO PEANUTS! Try it. It works for me. I love antique glass and I don't want to be the one who breaks it. Remember..no room for any movement. Good luck.

I found one like yours except it's a single dolphin under the title "Vintage Glass Pink Dolphin Riding A Wave 7 Inches Tall" they don't know who did it, and they said what you said "I think it's glass but I'm not sure. Did you see that listing? Not much help but there was another one like yours.

Adirondack Mountains and Adirondack Park are only in New York State. Now, on the other hand, the Appalachians run from Canada to Alabama, stretching about 2000 miles, crossing many state lines.

Re:the stained glass shade - My instincts are saying that as a ceiling fixture, the scalloped edge would be up side down. Don’t usually see up side down scalloped edges.
Enjoyed the video! Noticed so many of your items are quite large. I would enjoy more tutorials how you clean your items and how you package/ship those larger items.
With free piles and that beautiful basket you found , it makes you Wonder just WHY items didn't get purchased! I have found so many wonderful and valuable items in free piles as well as dumpsters belonging to thrift stores!!!! Always amazed!
Because people ask for too much money when they are selling items. Then the items just get thrown out!!

It's that time of year for fabulous curb side finds! Today, My daughter on her way to work texted me with a photo of an early 20-30's china cabinet on her street. I'm 65 & I put it in back of my van & dropped it to her house..luckily her neighbor helped me get it out of my van.

The barn doors were designed to slide right in front of the closet to the left
My dad works for post office - they literally THROW the packages to sort them at each stop... they have to move so fast that even if the box says fragile, they throw it... just crazy!

Is the glass sculpture Wyland Galleries? I know it’s been sold in Disney’s high end resorts.
We had that ceiling fixture in a house we built in 1988. Extended from a brass pole and had a candelabra type light fixture.
What fantastic success you had thrifting.....you found beautiful items, Karen.....I miss Pennsylvania, my family used to live in the Phila. suburbs and my mother I would go thrifting alot, sometimes even in Lancaster County, such enjoyable times! I always loved so much diversity in pieces to choose from by each seller...you never knew what you would find!...I miss my mother and thrifting with her so much............ Purchased my first home in August of 2022 and it came with a dishwasher. I've never used it because I love washing dishes by hand. Very therapeutic for me. Your home is gorgeous!

Oh My Goodness Karen!!!! So much joy , information and renovation along with thrift hauls that I could do an entire dissertation on this video but I will spare you all the story telling. I loved the jewelry box with the key and the pillow inside it can be used for post earrings and the mug. Everything about the mug, man diving for woman. I love it. I saw your dish washer on instagram installed, Yay!!! When it comes to plumbing, roofing, electrical I am quoting the great James Brown, "It's a man's world". haha...Now I am singing it. So wonderful that Roger knows the guys doing this work as it will definitely save a woman that doesn't know. Great video, I really enjoyed this one. Seems extra special. God love you both!!!

Love the floors. Personally I like the gold on vanity and round mirrors to go above it but all in all I really like the addition and of course U should do it exactly the way y'all like and it's so good to know your fiancee knows all the really great craftsmen to do the work. A gift from God is to enjoy the fruits of y'all's labor.
Love what you're doing w/ the addition, and I have to say I'm so impressed by how clean your workers leave the jobsite each day! When we built our house, we'd come look at the progress each evening, & it was always such a mess! So happy for you! :)
That glass lamp shade is clearly for a table lamp. If you look closely you can tell that if there was a light bulb there would be nothing to come down and go through the hole that the shade attaches to the light. I could be wrong but it's pretty clearly looks like a regular table lamp shade.

I believe Syroco is not plastic. It's a wood product made from the pulp of wood and other materials added to strengthen it. Molded into many decorative designs.

Karen, The glass shade that looks like a hanging ceiling fixture probably was exactly that. Looks to me like the low type that you’d see hang over a pool table or a table like you see a group of men playing poker (that’s a hint to Roger😉). Also Karen, the Adirondacks begin in north Georgia and extend all the way up through upstate NY. I lived in GA at one time.
I live in a new house for 6 months now and have yet to use the dishwasher. It’s only 2 of us so it’s just easier to hand wash. Plus I use silver and china and they just don’t go in the dishwasher
Purple glass dolphins on amethyst stone was found by Googling. Most sell for 20 dollars.
