    I remember the first date I had with my ex husband. He told me Jayz was his favorite and I told him I had a track he hadn't heard. He thought I was lying until I played this. After that he was in love. He said I was the only girl that knew what Reasonable Doubt was on my own. Even though we are divorced now, we had many great years together all because of listening to Jay Z on our first date. We walked down the aisle to this song. Dopest wedding song ever.

      @@makaveli236215 People loved Jay back in like the late 90's early 00's and then over time for some reason it became cool to hate on him. Remember, most people are followers and can't think for themselves.

      Folks tried to forget about Jay around this time. The fans wanted him off of his top spot in the game. I’m not shocked they act like this song, or Supa ugly, doesn’t exist.

    • @Roy_MO
      @Roy_MO 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@nate8604 not like the fans it was the industry they was tired of Jay, he took over the game they tried to use Supa ugly as a protest to kill jays career I remember how they started doing a radio protest that Jay insulted nas baby mama and didn’t have respect for women, my only problem is where was the same energy when 2pac made Hit em up! It shows you how they was bias I’m glad people can listen today and see how it is for themselves!

    • @nate8604
      @nate8604 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Roy_MO Jay suffers from the ugly man syndrome. He can’t disrespect women, because he should be lucky if any woman, attractive women specifically, ever got with him, to the eyes of society that is. Nas called women bitches and hoes too, but he’s the pretty boy, so he can get away with anything. Same with Pac, as you said; those men were deemed attractive, and/or sex symbols. Jay was compared to a camel….lol.

    I want this beat so bad

  • @camronshean1758
    @camronshean1758 3 ปีที่แล้ว +16

    The producer of this song Ski Beatz said "I made that beat for an artist that I was working with in North Carolina named Mr. Dolo. He put out a mixtape called Carolina Blue Vol. 1. He was on that beat and he was killing it. But Jay was in town doing a show in Charlotte, and he said, 'Yo, you got any beats man? I'm in town. Come and see me.' I just had the instrumental version of that and after he heard it, the next week he was flying me to New York to lay it down. That was classic but it never really saw the light of day because it was a hidden track on the Unplugged album. It's funny, I speak to Dame about it a lot and he be like, 'That was my favorite song that Jay ever did and I was mad he didn't want to shoot a video.' They wanted to shoot a video and do everything for that, but for some reason Jay didn’t want to do it. I have no idea why."

      It’s called Don’t You Know that track was garbage and the album version on the Paid In Full soundtrack is wack too. Both of these came after Super Ugly. Both were never played again.
