I ended up getting this driver and I love it! Can work the ball when I want but its over consistently straight off the tee. I was able to get more distance once I tuned it to my swing. Love the R1!
Matthew, thanks for braving the cold and snow to give us the first video review of the r1! ;) If you can get your hands on one, I would love to see reviews of the Cobra Amp Cell Pro and Callaway Razr Fit Extreme drivers. Thanks and keep the great reviews coming!
Good review Matt. Totally agree with you on the feel of the TM woods in general, they never feel as solid as other brands such as Ping. Glad they finally addressed this. I wouldnt mind seeing a review comparing the Ping Anser and the new G25.
Good Review! How does the R1 driverhead compare to the RBZ stage2 driverhead when it comes to distance and feel? I am currently using the old RBZ together with a Fujikura Motore Speeder VC.7.2 shaft. I am seeing a slight fade on my drives and am thinking of changing to the R1 in order to adjust it to be straight or slight draw for my normal shots. As I have understood they have changed the tip adapter so I would have to change that on my current shaft to fit it in a new driverhead, correct?
Just do what I do mate, have some patience and wait 12 months for the stock cycle to turn over and prices to be cut in half, then get on ebay and find some bargains. Just got an ex demo Razr Fit in mint condition for $120 a week ago.
Lol, thanks for the reply, I do get they have to recoup there freebies, but I'm always of the belief on any product, would you rather sell, 10 million at £50, or 5 mill at £300... You get my drift, I know will never happen... .you don't have a shop model knocking about to help some returning ailing 18 handicapper do you hehe. Cheers, thanks again...enjoyed your other videos as well, subscribed :)
Have to say, the amount of Pros that are using this new R1 is unbelievable, on both tours seen loads, is it really making that much of a difference?. The only real downside for me, is no way on earth could I ever afford one, prices for the guy in the street are bloody crazy tbh, even though I'm back playing golf now after a serious leg injury, golf has always been an overpriced hobby, actually stopped me playing when I was younger. Still a very nice review, would love to get my hands on one...:(

Another Great Video Matt and John! even better in the snow! what were the numbers like with this new R1 as opposed to the R11S and R11 drivers?
Yup good idea mate, I did that last year for the R11 3wood, but here in the UK there over £300, which is around $470, a lot of money :) still.
Hi Matthew, great review! How does the R1 compare to the R11s, do they perform any different?
yes get the covert its amazing

Did you notice a big difference in the weight compares to the r11s? Do you feel it will generate a little more club head speed?
Awesome.
Of the two, which driver do you prefer in terms of feel and sound? R1 or RBZ Stage 2?
Wot did u like best R1or nike covert

Same tacky white club with a racing stripe. If you want to look like "fast and furious" on the course this is the club for you!
