    Rest In Peace to John Singleton. This was another hilarious and eye opening review, this film can teach you a lot about life situations and it was a great ending where Jody got back on the tracks in his life.

    Another classic right here. I never really looked at baby boy like this, cuz growing up in a black household Baby Boy was on all the time and instead of taking the movie seriously it kinda became a meme and comedy. Like the scene where he gets jumped and he’s walking back into the house off his bike. He was so extra lol. But this is a pretty good movie and I’m glad y’all are doing these classics

    I can't thank you guys enough for doing my request! Love all your commentary, love all the discussion in the comment section. Love me some Singleton and love even more that this was Cory's first time watching! 👊
    Favorite line of this episode "The best sex is not with a keeper!" - Cory. You said it bro! 🤣

    When John Singleton wrote this he originally wanted Tupac for the character of Jodi, that's one of the reasons you see the huge Pac poster on Jodis wall in his room....of course if Pac had the chance to do this movie it would be an entirely different movie and experience!

    Even though Jody is full of himself sometimes Juanita could at least apologize for accusing Jody of planting weed in her garden but at the same time Jody needed to get a full reality check by Juanita and Melvin such as taking full responsibility and accountability for his actions such as being a "real man". Watching Juanita and Melvin telling Jody off was so satisfying.😍💯😎👍😏

    • @KisstheReviews
      @KisstheReviews  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      100% Jody getting checked are all the best parts of this film.

      @@KisstheReviews Facts. It really infuriates me that Jody was selfish, inconsiderate, and immature for his age such as blaming everybody for his problems and not being a real man for himself and his family and was always interfering in his mother's business. At that point Juanita was fed up and Melvin spoke a insightful and articulate representation of Jody's intentions which infuriates him.😍👍😎💯😏

    I remember seeing this and liking this, and thought it had a compelling message, but my favorite John Singleton film is probably Higher Learning. I know it’s filled with cliches and stereotypes, but as a guy works in college admissions now, and was a student back in 95’, it really showcased a lot of realism to college campus life back then. That benefit concert seemed so real for the time:)

    Baby Boy is one of the greatest hood movies of all time. It was something new, fresh, unique, inventive, stylish, cool, edgy, hip, and updated such as the concept and theme due to it's witty and clever dialogue and humor, comedic moments, emotional resonance, performance's by the cast, motivational, powerful, and inspirational life messages. It also gives a insightful and articulate representation of how to take full responsibility and accountability for your actions such as making good decisions and choices that will impact your destiny in life. I recommend this movie to any young man that will teach you the true and powerful meaning of what being a "real man" truly and dearly is. It was decent. To this day I still watch it and I consider it a classic. It never gets old.😍💯😎👍

    Jody was such a dickhead for taking Yvettes car and going to Peanuts house after she had the adobo. Smh he was also so bad to Melvin. Melvin was trying so hard to be cool and give Jody some tidbits on how to grow tf up. He kept saying Mel was a killer like Henry was but Jody wasnt acting like it from the way he was disrespecting Melvin.

    When Melvin was Smashing Jody's Mom doing The leap Frog 🐸 jumping sex scene on The TV 📺 It Was a Interview by Mike Tyson. I could imagine 🤔 Mike Tyson played Melvin then Tupac play as Jody , Ice Cube as Rodney maybe Lisa Raye McCoy could played Yvette Maybe Regina King as Peanut , For Jody's Mom have Angela Bassett . This Movie 🎥🍿 would've Hit Different 💯💯💯💯🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🏆🏆🏆 . IDK 🤷‍♂️🤔💭 Maybe exist in different universe

    Baby Boy has to be the most greatest unintentional comedy of all time I swear that movie is hilarious from start to finish. But outside the humor this movie is a perfect representation of bum ass dudes. Growing up in Baltimore I know so many bum dudes like Jody that thinks the world owes them something, no job, and having multiple baby mommas and never holding themselves accountable. It’s heavily realistic in that aspect John captured that well.And I know women that settle for dudes like this and continue to go back to them, it’s an ever ending cycle. Jody lowkey was the villian the entire film if you think about it all the circumstances that happened is caused by him

    • @KisstheReviews
      @KisstheReviews  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I could absolutely see that. I think 2 more watches and a lot of this turns funny.
      Wow! You’re correct…he did make a lot of his own problems which makes sense given the theme of the film. Dudes like him are everywhere! Appreciate you commenting!
