What a beautiful morning we are just getting started for the day looks like everyone on your side of the world is up and catching the train i have coffee brewing and i think of you guys having so much fun thanks for taking me with you see ya soon your friend Cindy from Orlando Florida ❤
Thanks! The Grand Tour was not supposed to become public today. I am keeping that one for better viewing days, this period each year ratings drop so it would be sad to see such a big production being ignored. Sorry..
Your videos keep getting better and better! Loved the entire trip and as usual, I followed along with Google maps enjoying the sites at each station including hotels and restaurants!! Now on to the Grand Tour which could take me all week!!! Thanks you so much for all you do!!!
Thanks! Sorry for the GT, was not supposed to be live today. Each year at this time ratings drop so it would be sad to send such a large production into the world right now.. please be patient.
Spring has sprung about 3 weeks ago here in Puebla, Mexico. It´s been 27°C - 30°C daily high temperatures, sunny but a lot of haze in the air from the nearby volcano El Popocatepetl. You can't have everything (like your cool trains but cold days)... and if you did, where would you store it?
Ah, Springtime or as Shakespeare would have us believe - 'The only pretty ring time'. (It was a lover and his lass). That opening has to be the first time you have included a tracking shot of a passing train. I was watching the people waiting for your arrival and thought 'I used to be one of them (in my own country, of course)'. Thank goodness those days are over. And while on the subject, in the station data only for Utrecht C is the passenger count defined as 'NS'. I wonder why the distinction. Finally, how DO you put up with such a noisy fan?
We have to :-( Usually I switch of the fan, but while filming I need the air fliw to cool the camera. The passenger count is for NS trains only. At stations with different companies I add the NS to the count.
@@CabviewHolland I noticed that many videos ago - and all the speculation it has generated. Might he answer be that 'that is the natural contour of the ground'? It is what it is.
"... to make tourists to understand ..." Hm, human beings are difficult creatures. When you try to "make" them do something, many simply revolt against this. "Help" might be a more encouraging word to fellow humans. On another paw, I thoroughly understand the desire to use a size 20 clue bat to beat the information into the dumb animal's brains. {^_-} I now have a very large screen, 140 cm about 76 cm from my face, that does HDR decently. The colors seem a little more vivid than need be. The subtle details pop out if you look for them, especially in the darker parts of the screen. It looks more "real" to my eyes that I can clearly see the ballast between the ties deep in the shadow of the train or other objects. I think I and my ageing eyes like the screen. {^_-}
I will change the info to 'help' next time, thanks for making me understand ;-) I notice that there are huge differences in how TH-cam videos are displayed between tv screens, devices and monitors. Samsungs tv sets need a lot of tweaking with the quality settings to get realistic colors for instance. I hate this, as I put a lot of effort into the grading. Furthermore, TH-cam renders an SDR version for non-HDR displays, which I have to account for while grading. I always try to get the most realistic result, but I am toning it down a bit now.
@@CabviewHolland I fiddled with my display some more. It looks somewhat better. The arithmetic involved tells me that at high to maximum brightness levels ( 512 to 1023 ) bits 8 and 9 (0 to 9) have very minimal effect on the video. At low brightness levels ( 1 to 100 ) the lowest two bits have huge effects. At that end the lowest bit changes the signal level by 1% (level 100) to 50% (level 1). So that is the end that really shows HDR's subtle effects. HDR is also usually used to give super bright highlights with modest improvements of the lows. I see it as a personal preference for the type of material how the added two bits per color per pixel is used. The bright effect would enhance the viewer's appreciation of your drive into the bright Sun burning your eyes (and maybe monitors) while night time rides would still be dark but show wanted detail when outside lighting is low. At the moment I'm not sure I have a preference. This monitor is a gaming monitor. I got it for size (my old eyes like that) and modest to decent HDR capability. It's not a top of the line monitor in the matched color gamete sense. The added color range is nice. The BIG screen gives bigger text for my playing around in Visual Studio creating bits and bobs of code for myself. {^_^}

I love the sound of the fans spinning up in the cab. Reminds me of my beloved 143...
Unfortunately they are not the motor/chopper cooling fans, what you probably are referring to..
@@CabviewHolland Unfortunately, yes. That'd be so cool! Especially in a modern multiple unit!
Well done. You went by so many of my favorite stations and a place I was just visiting a few hours ago.

Starting there after the 59 minute mark. What is happening there? Wasn’t there once a yard?
Yes, they are building a fly-over.
At around 1:09:35 there is what looks like a huge dip in the four parallel tracks. Is there a good reason for that?
I have been wondering about that for 16 years now. Spoke with Prorail about it, nobody seems to know.

Allebei.
