Considering how big and clunky monster hunter weapons are I was surprised to see him animate them and make it work
The transition between SNS to CB and then to GL was really clean and smooth

This is what I love in Stick Figures, They only exist to fight no matter what season of the year it is.
The sticks r still fighting; the fighting will never end.
I watched this once, then watched some of it in 0.25x speed.
(Im kinda taking notes)
•Its incredible how simple yet effective little things like a couple lines for speed are
•Even wind (impact?) animations when attacks land makes a huge difference in the finishing product
•not every movement has to be animated, over animating can make hits seem less impactful/weak. I notice that, in this animation movements are fast (not under animated and not over animated)
•for more impactful hits, stay on one frame for longer with slight screen shake
•you can literally just use rough lines at some points for barrages/speedy attacks
•effects dont have to be super animated, slash effects can be one or two frames and still look good
•blur is a hella useful tool, blurry beams/pillars for impactful attacks is amazing. Same with blur applied to dashes paired with the lines I mentioned before
•drawing shapes for tween-ish effect is amazing! If a character attacks a wide angle, simply combining (smooshing?) the two positions makes it seem really fluid
•screen shake starting from low to high is amazing for the buildup of a move
At my current skill level I couldn’t really find anymore things to appreciate and learn from this yet
