People with a conscious struggle greatly with decisions that effect others, the predator's don't have that problem. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God."
As a man, for the first time ever, I thought about the witch hunts that happened but from a woman’s perspective. That just turned the idea from “wow people were so stupid back then” to “omg that must have been utterly terrifying”. Imagine being an innocent young girl who got accused by some boy she wouldn’t kiss or have sex with as being a witch, hiding under your bed at home while a mob screams your name outside with burning torches in their hands, knowing you will soon be dragged out and set on fire while alive. It literally sounds like a nightmarish horror film but it was true.
Men were burned too. I think of it more as the persecution of the marginal, the unpopular and the noncompliant. Women were by some degree more likely to be victims, of course.
Just so we’re clear, witch hunts happened after the Middle Ages. If you cried “Witch!” in the medieval era, even the church officials (though I hypothesize most instead of all) would look at you funny. You’d think this was a highlight, until you realize this only made homicidal cult activity, (which was actually a real concern in that time) abundant. Shame too, because they were actually an intelligent era. I suppose pride got the better of them in this situation.
@@tombingham7455 I would NOT call the Middle Ages in Western Eurasia an 'intelligent era'. Not only did most of the populace regress into a less tangible worldview, but the elites (nobility) conspired with the Church to keep the peasants illiterate, ignorant and bound to the land in servitude (slavery in some places.) That change happened at all is probably largely due to the intervention of Yersinia pestis, frankly.. And one thing is for certain, for those who have studied the era seriously - it is fucking WEIRD, both what happens and the way in which people viewed the world/universe..
@@jrodowens Churchianity did ruin a lot of good for many people. But it’s influence wasn’t as notorious as a lot of “sources” claim it to be. 1. For starters, there’s no possible way the church could have a hold on people’s literacy, even if it wanted to. That’s something passed down from generation to generation. Paper may not have been initially as abundant as it was in the previous era, but reading still would’ve been useful for reading wooden signs and text etched in stone. Plus of that, we have evidence that shows the medieval people actually had higher standards of literacy than we do (to be considered literate, you had to know Latin in addition to your own local tongue). TH-camr Shadiversity explains this in good detail. 2. I’m not going to say serfdom didn’t happen, but that wasn’t all there was. Other positions were needed and/or available, such as blacksmiths, architects, bakers, doctors, scientists (no, they were not burned at the stake as school likes to preach), inventors, musicians, bartenders, authors, mercenaries, sheriffs, etc. 3. Not all churches worked against people’s well being. In fact, the more Christ-like ones helped people from being unrightfully persecuted from hyperbolic churches, and even helped women obtain rights. In fact, by the time the Renaissance rolled around, when law fell to more Roman standards, women’s rights drastically decreased, not increase. Women could no longer join guilds, nor partake in military action, and most likely couldn’t hold their own land. 4. Despite Moors and other people of foreign background roaming about medieval Europe, they did not care about race. There weren’t even human rights issues regarding color. In fact, statues of honor were made for dark-skinned individuals (such as knights). Racial slavery didn’t happen until the Renaissance. 5. The medieval era contributed well to the modern era. We have them to thank for refined metal, glasses, clocks, chimneys, chain mail (scuba divers and some legal authorities use it), the printing press, etc. Heck, we would not have organized schools and colleges without them. A lot of misconceptions of the medieval era come mostly from our tried-and-failed-gap-filling (to compensate for a lack of concrete knowledge at the time) from the 19th-20th century, and some of it comes from intentional history rewriting from the Renaissance and the Enlightenment that would ultimately contribute the undermining of that thousand-year time, hence why it is called the medieval era, which means “middle of the ages”, even though that’s not what they called themselves. Regardless, we should be careful when studying this era, as there are one-too-many archaic rumors and myths that have yet to be dealt with even in our own “Age of Information.” Note: The medieval people did have various views of reality, but not all of them were far-fetched, nor universally agreed upon. Plus, not all kings were out for a “power grab” and some actually cared for their people. Unfortunately, as human nature would have it, this was not likely common.

I just listened to a podcast on hidden brain about delusional thinking, how sometimes it can be a healthy way to cope; yet other times it can be a detriment to mental health. The biggest takeaway from the podcast was the quote "Studies have found that the most grounded and logical people are usually those with depression" (I'm paraphrasing). Anyway...that hit me deep.
Well, some delusions are not so delusional at all, in practical terms, pertaining to their consequences/outcomes. For example, if they're merely simplifications of something that's basically roughly true, as in: it's predictable and observable in reality and in the allegedly somewhat delusional model, alike. So, conversely, more detrimental delusions are perhaps mostly such ones that let us believe something that does *NOT* happen/exist in reality. Hence it obviously matters if our delusions are of a practical kind, or rather more confusing/destructive ones instead. ... As for depression and logic though, maybe that's just to do with the fact that *reality is depressing.* (Sad/tragic/disheartening stuff happens in it.) So the depression might be a consequence of rational thinking, not the other way round. Although admittedly, the sobering effects of depressions might in some cases help us think clearer than say when we're highly delusional.
It is time for strong minds who have already looked within and seen themselves to look outwards, assess the situation, and find each other. None of us can do this alone. This is our chance of a lifetime.

I agree with you to an extent. But whence the population who is under the mass psychosis becomes violent, its possible for that to be a point where we can't turn back. Anyone denying their fears is silenced and killed or contained. People can be influenced to fight for their ideas that can be psychotic to a point where reasonable people are seen to them as just in their way. As with the violent BLM protests, I feel that more people are beginning to feel that violence is an appropriate end to a means.
@@francisbeckmeyer1546 Interesting. The change we want to see in this world doesn't come as easy as we hope and that's why it's easy for the masses of people to become restless and move to violence. Learning/intelligence does not protect one from psychosis or mass psychosis. It is a defense mechanism to say that as an absolute. You feel better thinking only less learned fall victim. That is not true.
At least in the UK, the Behavioural Insights Team et al. have deliberately induced this psychosis... You can read their papers on capitalising on conformity, fear and other psychological techniques
At this point there’s been so much research into what the human mind is capable of and how far it’s willing to bend that it’s scary what these people (*these people* as in intelligence agencies, researchers etc.) can do with that information. Because it is unavoidable, regular minds not aware of this ( and who would be without seeking it) will be doomed to fall for it. Unfortunately there’s always more zombies than humans. I see posts like this and wonder if the psychosis is the attitude being expressed in this very comment. What could be interpreted as _the greatest threat to humanity_ may just be our hashing out the flaws of ethics and morals before we progress to the next age. Since it is based on a psychological fear of what they have hidden in themselves, you can't reason with them - we're screwed!

Try Ingmar Bergman’s Seventh Seal
Regardless, we should be careful when studying this era, as there are one-too-many archaic rumors and myths that have yet to be dealt with even in our own “Age of Information.”
Note: The medieval people did have various views of reality, but not all of them were far-fetched, nor universally agreed upon.

Yes. I believe it. People with depression are incredibly strong minded.
Hence it obviously matters if our delusions are of a practical kind, or rather more confusing/destructive ones instead.
...
As for depression and logic though, maybe that's just to do with the fact that *reality is depressing.*
(Sad/tragic/disheartening stuff happens in it.)
So the depression might be a consequence of rational thinking, not the other way round.
Although admittedly, the sobering effects of depressions might in some cases help us think clearer than say when we're highly delusional.

The deaths from starvation in the third world due to lockdowns in the 1st world will outnumber Covid deaths by the millions. That's not to mention Covid deaths being inflated a bit and the test used not being extremely accurate. Even if you think the death toll is 100% accurate.....the response will kill more. As you claim to care about lives.....you will kill even more.
We’re living this right now
The March Madness of 2020 was my first realization of Mass Hysteria
It was tik tok for me.
Well to be fair. March was the time when no one knew what was going to happen. The fact that we now know and continue the lunacies is the problem. People arent able to admit when they are wrong.
@Fuckdasociety 3 lol keep it up. You've been used because your little brain just wants to shout orange man bad.
@Fuckdasociety 3 the economic and social consequences of the hysteria surrounding it are far worse than the virus itself.
@@tongpoo8985 If there where any virus to begin with. It wasn't isolated by anybody. Influenza type A and B was found in it's stead when searching for a covid sample. This is an influenza strain. Nothing new under the sun. It's an attempt of mass manipulation and subjugation as it always was the game of those in charge.
An ineffective and devastating descent into the collective shadow....

I’m hearing “mask psychosis” and here we are.
Imagine if everyone had hallucinations, delusions, and paranoia.. I'd be terrified
Yeah... I can relate to this feeling. Call it morbid curiosity but maybe I shouldn't watch this vid right now.. lol
@Dirty Joe I am so sorry you had to go through that. I'm sure that was scary and awful. I hope you're better these days 💕
@Dirty Joe Damn bro, fucking CIA. But yea I feel you, for 5 years I was convinced a certain organisation had their eyes on me
As one who had been on antidepressants and experienced the terror of coming off them abruptly, I can say that should any such drug or chemical be slipped to the masses for a time and then discontinued, the chaos that would ensue would be monumental.
Look up Mark Fisher
yeah so thats why there will be a mass shortage of anti-depressant anti-psychotics etc.
Batman Begins final scenes.
This is exactly what is going to happen to our world in a very short period of time.. It has already started

Can you explain the meaning?
I'm not sure :0
@@Octavio12341000 if you observe carefully your entire life and the blunders you think you made, the decisions, etc., what you see is the fear of failure, of not being as good as the next person and hence not being accepted by society. if you observe still deeper, you will find more than the failure, you're scared of actually succeeding, being much much better than the next person, and that pissing off all the mediocre people who play the crab game will mean you will be utterly lonely at the top.
fear of success, the real internal fulfilling success of the highest order is deeper and more powerful than fear of failure. anxiety is - what if I AM CAPABLE OF BEING THAT GOOD, which means i am responsible to live my greatest life, failing which i fail myself.

I find myself dealing with this very thing lately and you just put it into words. We must fight not to succumb to either of the madnesses. Thanks for posting that quote!

I find this to be true...I have a seething anger and hatred in me for anything that I feel wrongs me either directly or indirectly and I’m quick to let the people i feel responsible know my outrage.
It's rather interesting to see that the "possessed" are the ones that start the witch hunts, in this case.
Possessed by ideology.
The pandemic. The latest mass psychosis.
@Benjamin LI Of course not , just the liberals 🤣
@Benjamin LI The psychosis is the way Americans are treating covid as if it was a valid reason to shut down businesses, churches, force the healthy population to quarantine, _and_ force people into wearing a mask that explicitly states on the box that it is ineffective at preventing communicable diseases.
So yes, everyone who still thinks we should follow the above "laws" is mentally ill and hallucinating.
@@fars5107 it's more than mass psychosis, because the psychosis in this case is believed to "protect people" and everyone believes it's all for their own good.
Alann I wonder how many atrocities were committed in the name of "for the greater good of the people " ? , probably all of them .
@Benjamin LI What everybody, have you actually spoken with real people or just look at the media and believe that everybody buys their crap like they want you to think?
I have to say, you are ON IT. these are timely and brilliant
This rings far too true, in our current "reality".
I only hope that we all will begin to recognize our delusions for what they are...
And awaken from our mass psychosis, before we take it too far.
Holy shit! This video just helped me understand myself and everyone on a massively deeper level
Dude, you are amazing. This video sheds a spotlight on everything they want to be done in the dark
The first time watched this video, It dawned to me that we are already suffering from the effects of mass psychosis in a major way, now when watching it again I am certain this is indeed the greatest threat to humanity. Thank you for this video.
I see posts like this and wonder if the psychosis is the attitude being expressed in this very comment. What could be interpreted as _the greatest threat to humanity_ may just be our hashing out the flaws of ethics and morals before we progress to the next age. On a small scale of a single person, it seems best to offer what help you can to make a fellow human's suffering lesser when you see them unable to immediately pay or cope or eat, rather than to say "get a job," "get over it," or "plan ahead next time." But on a large scale, offering the same help seems like enabling and encouraging. The same goes for most modern issues that people are divided on today.
Don't get me wrong, I see your point, but I have to wonder if it's because I suffer the same way you do (if you do). 🤔
@@lemonstealinghorsdoeuvre The part about hashing out flaws of ethics and morals may very well be what is going on and I thank you for that insightful response. Realising now that I was perhaps too harsh back when I made the comment.
I was right there with you until I saw every comment had the same kind of fear and I had to step back and think. Let's cross our fingers for the best, our democracy is based on having opposing views, so we can hope

It’s not the fact that people fall for stupid ideas that makes me so cynical. It’s that the people pushing the ideas are terrible enough to knowingly do it.
the people the believe more often than not believe for selfish reasons and/or to escape their own insecurities. they are not innocent.
